Me sorprendió que nunca habíamos visto este lugar antes. Comida de buena calidad. Siempre es bueno encontrar un nuevo lugar independiente para comer. Volveremos pronto para probar más del menú.

Attended a birthday party held in one of their rooms. All the food was delicious and there was plenty, they even provided boxes for the surplus to be taken home. Lovely setting, friendly staff, plenty of space & the bonus of wallabies and alpacas to look at. The farm shop was sadly closed as party was in the evening but I will be returning when it’s open based on the excellent quality of food provided.

Arrived with friends to a full car park and cafe, and were quickly seated at a table that needed clearing. Good sign! We had to find our own menus, no-one gave them to us. Order taken (5drinks, 1 carrot cake, 1 vegan cake option, 3 toasted sandwiches) Drinks and cakes arrived quickly. Table next to us were asking where their breakfast was as they'd been waiting 45 mins, it arrived 15 mins later. The hot food had not arrived for us after nearly an hour of waiting, I asked, to be told it'd be 'a little while' as there were problems in the kitchen, to which we were offered complimentary drinks (which arrived wrong) Hot-food arrived 20mins later, it was nice. Just thinking that we could have been politely for-warned that there was a problem in the kitchen. Those eating cakes were hungry by this time but daren't order now due to waiting time! The Vegan cake option (Coconut, chocolate, raspberry slice) was tiny compared to the huge slice of carrot cake. These need to be improved. Unfortunately wouldn't rush to go back after this first experience. (Average £9 per person)

After buying from the farm shop, we decided to try the cafe. Food was amazing. Freshly cooked. Excellent service too. Will definitely come back 😊

I absolutely love it here. After seeing how amazing the pancakes looked I had to return and try them. They still do the select your own 5 item breakfast which is great. If choosing between the cooked breakfast or pancakes I think I would go pancakes, they're so thick, good ratio of pancake:bacon and plenty of syrup! The fresh orange juice is the best and the hot chocolate is lovely and rich. Vegan options also reported to be good. The staff are all friendly and the toilets clean.

Saturday brunch with family, outdoor seating available for the nice weather but also shaded indoor seating. Passion storm smoothie was good. There's a 5 item breakfast option which is nice to choose what you want. Pancakes looked spectacular.

Had a lovely experience at Roots today, we were lucky enough to arrive at feeding time, it was a joy to watch, then Jane invited us in to the paddock!! It was so nice to see all the baby Bantam chickens and Indian runner ducks, it was cute overload. We then treated ourselves to a drink and a plate of chips, it was only £6.20, great value. All the staff were really nice, will be going back again very soon.

Got a chocolate milkshake and panini for lunch outdoors and visited the animals. Food was great, track and trace and sanitiser available.

Had a hot chocolate in the car park (barn and cafe usually open when out of lockdown) and saw the farm animals. Watched the staff feed the alpacas, goats and wallabies. Wallabies only been there a week so kept distance to let them settle in to new home so no pics but they're super cute!! Lady feeding the animals was really friendly and educated us on the wallabies.

Roots farm shop and Deli is excellent place to come too as we have found out over the last 11 months, it as a excellent takeaway service a great farm shop with very friendly and helpful staff. The coffees are second to none, milkshakes are very good. The bacon and sausage cobs are good quality and locally produced, had the pizza today for lunch which was nice to. Also tried the frozen butter chicken and Bombay potato over the last few days which I would recommend.

We had a walk around the shop, selection was good, the animal supplies also had a very good selection. We ordered a take away coffee, as we didn't want to register for track and trace, which is required as soon as we sit down. We were walking around the animals anyway. Toilet is very clean. The coffee was very good. The show animals were all very nice and very cute.

Roots deli as been a welcome delight over the past few months we had used the place the odd time before January this year but as been a perfect retreat to grab a takeaway coffee and milkshakes, the bacon and sausage butties are very nice and locally reared Also the farm shop as also guided us to buy local produces which I wouldn’t have done in the past and wonderful countryside.

Called into Roots today for lunch, which was delicious, and while there we spotted a new mayonnaise that was flavoured with lemon and dill. We used it with some cold chicken at teatime (a suggestion on the jar) and would highly recommend to others. It was different and very tasty. We hope it will become a favourite in the shop.

Well the food hasn't even arrived yet and the service has been rude, surly and unfriendly. The place is freezing and the staff refused to put the heater on and then told us after 10 minutes of waiting, it would be 15 minutes for veggie sausage. Very overpriced. The breakfast was OK but beans and tomatoes, and eggs were tepid to say the least. Bloody awful.

My most favourite little deli! Have been coming here for 11+ years and have never left disappointed. The food is fantastic and whenever I take people there (generally grabbing lunch with a colleague) they're always impressed with the quality of the food. Personal favourites are the brie and bacon baguette and THE WORLDS BEST lemon cheesecake (chefs kiss). Only slight criticisms would be the place gets so busy it can mean can't always eat in (shows how good the place is) and they're closed on a Monday which tends to be the day I work in the office so can't always nip in to the best deli in Leicestershire.

A fantastic night with friends enjoying the cocktail masterclass with Jerome a great bartender and entertainer. Jerome knows his stuff, easily explaining what to mix and how, with a little bit of science too. We gratefully accepted the cocktails he made so effortlessly and then had a go at making our own, Jerome’s teaching style made this fun and easy and overcame any of our nerves with encouragement and humour. Thanks for helping us have a great night out 5⭐️

As it was a sunny day, the place was busy although we found a table. Recently the menu has changed in my view for the worst. Prices have leapt with choice not as good as it used to be. Although our order arrived in decent time one or two people who came in after us left upon being informed there was a waiting time of over 30 mins for cooked food. We have been regulars here but with the menu change and big increase in prices will sadly look elsewhere.

After a walk at Bradgate Park we chose to stop in here for brunch. We checked the menu outside and were surprised to find that the prices inside had been inflated quite considerably. Did they forget to change the menu outside? I think probably not. After waiting for a table we then sat down on a dirty table to order, waited half an hour for our food, which then came out lukewarm at best and really quite underwhelming. £70 for 3 breakfasts, 3 drinks and pancakes is certainly steep I'd say, but when it is such poor quality I'm not sure how this place gets the reviews it does.
