I’m not going to lie I came in with my wife and son to celebrate that we have got a new house in barrow after years of trying. We had the loaded tikka fries and a chilli and garlic bread it really was amazing.

Went back to pub since new management takeover, didn't have food, but service and atmosphere much better than the two takeovers previously. Maybe the clientele may be difficult to change, however they are trying. Has since changed back to an. Indian restaurant again . Didn't enjoy food on this occasion, however they hadn't quite finished changing over. Will try again sometime and hopefully there will be an improvement.

Went in for a mid week meal and was fantastic. To start we had onion bajhee and the crispy chilli mushrooms. The bajhees were some of the best flavour wise, could have been a little crispier but only a little. The mushrooms however were amazing. Zingy chilli sauce, lovely crispy crunchy fried texture around soft mushrooms, recommended. For mains we both had chicken tikka sizzling platters. Came out smoking hot on a bed of onions. The chicken was juicy and tender with a great rich flavour and just the right amount of spice. On the side we had a bowl of madras sauce, spicy, rich and moreish. Also a garlic naan which was light and fluffy with a nice crust to the edge. Then a bowl of fries which were super crunchy and perfect for dipping in the curry sauce. Drinks a little keenly priced at 13 for a beer and a wine, but where isn't these days. The food however was great value at 7.5 for a main. All in all a great meal

I wasn’t going to leave a review however I responded to a friend with an honest account of my experience last night on one of the pubs Facebook posts and they deleted the comment. I feel it’s only right that negative comments are seen as well as the positive. The food was beautiful, I can’t fault it however… We had a table for 2 booked for 7pm, we arrived at the same time as another table for 2 who also booked for 7pm and we were met with “Sorry there aren’t any tables at the moment would you mind waiting” We ordered a drink and waited to then be told by another member of staff “There aren’t any tables” and “There’s not a lot I can do about it at the moment” In hindsight we should have left at this point but didn’t, we got seated at around 7.30 and only because I suggested they move a table as a table for 2 were sat at a table for 4 of 2 tables pushed together. We were meant to be table of 3 but my mum was unwell and it’s a good job because she wouldn’t have fit at the table lol. We were then left with no offer of a menu, and ended up getting our own cutlery. In the end we were given one menu to share between us.. and the other table that came in at the same time as us also had to share our menu. When someone finally came to take our order we had been there near on an hour. During the experience I received the wrong drink, the wrong curry and one poppadom between 2 of us.. we had to ask for the other one. I do want to stress that the food is absolutely wonderful however the whole ordeal left me stressed when it was meant to be a relaxing evening. We did voice our concerns and I didn’t accept the offer to change my curry as we had already waited far too long and it was getting late but I was incredibly disappointed. We also turned down a free drink because this wasn’t offered until the very end and after 15/20 minutes of waiting for the card machine to work and to be honest we were ready to leave a long time before that so didn’t want to stay. Also I’m not sure if they have a dessert menu as this was never offered… The 2 women next to us had an even worse experience. I had to ask for their poppadoms for them and when their food eventually came to the table they had their starters and mains arrive together with no plates or cutlery. Once the busy period died down another table of around 6 men joined and they got their food before them! The excuse given at the time was “it was extremely busy” and it turned out they had given the tables away to walk ins. This to me is an unacceptable excuse and the only reason we stayed was to give it a chance and it was too late notice to book somewhere else. The experience we had means we won’t be returning for food which is a great shame because it is delicious and it’s one’s of our locals. I am only sharing my experience because the pub is deleting comments on social media and I think it’s only fair people are able to see a true reflection of the pub and are not tricked in to thinking this is a 10/10 restaurant/pub because it’s far from it (I really didn’t want that to be my opinion but I have to be honest)

We didn’t know what to expect, having never eaten here before but with a new menu we thought we would try it out. There were no other diners there when we got there which after eating there and knowing just how good the food is, is such a shame! Once people start trying it out, I have no doubt that this place will be heaving every night! Because honestly, the food was the best we have eaten in a long time! We had prawn puri and tikka paneer to start. Both were incredible but the prawn took the ‘crown’. For mains, my partner had the chicken wings which he loved and I had the prawn goan curry, I can’t remember the specific name but this was just so so soooo good! We had I think three drinks each, I had double gins, and the whole thing cost less than £80, which is an absolute bargain. The three staff on shift were an absolute credit to the pub. We only got Danielle’s name, she was super friendly and provided great service. The other guys on shift were also very attentive and knowledgeable. Quite a long review, and to be honest, we never write them, but we truly believe that this place NEEDS to be tried out, you won’t be disappointed!

The place is now under new management and they have started offering a new Punjabi menu from Jan 10th. Being massive curry fans I went with my wife and children on the opening night! We're quite fussy about our curry's and have been struggling to find a place locally - we normally have to go to Melton Road to find somewhere up to scratch. I can honestly say the food we had was fantastic - I had a lamb kadai - the lamb was very tender and flavoursome with really tasty sauce. My wife had paneer karai, and that was equally good - she absolutely loved. If you like curries, I can't recommend this place enough and we are planning to return very soon!

The staff were really friendly We were served drinks pretty quick. A order of ravioli was ordered only for the waiter to return as they had ran out of ravioli. A lasagne was ordered and he came back k again....we don't do lasagne any more. Another order was placed. Bread and oils should be soda bread but fruit bread was bought instead. This was corrected later. The meals were okay but lacked the spice they had in the title. Attention to detail is required. Good atmosphere and full bar selection.

Visited today for Sunday lunch and it was incredible! There were ten of us all having Sunday dinner and the service was great and the food was even better. Huge portions. All of the meat was tender. The vibes of the place are great and...

I've just returned from.my first dinner at the new Three Crowns and can honestly say that this is the most authentic and delicious curry I have eaten in.a very long time. The emphasis here is on authentic - do not expect your usual curry house...

Why not go to Weatherspoons instead? The food is the same, (fresh out the microwave), it’s 1/4 of the price and you might get some decent service there!

Came here around a year ago and was really nice so decided to come back here not knowing it was under new management. I don’t think I’ve had a worse meal in the last 10 years, absolutely terrible. I get that it’s mainly curry on...

We had a curry served in a tiny pot. There was no spice and in reality it was less than a starter portion. Most restaurants serve bigger starters. There was nothing authentic about the curry as the spice was lacklustre. Portions are ridiculous, we dread...

Speechless. I can’t believe what’s happened to the place, now I know that places change but my God this has changed for the worse. No soul in the place, no atmosphere, no warm welcome that you used to receive when you walked into the restaurant,...

Very pleased to see this place thriving! The new owners have kept the pub charm that still doubles as a sports bar and separate dining area. They’ve made it their own though as it’s brighter, more open and fantastic menu unlike any in the local...

Lovely food. Friendly and attentive service. Went with a group of good mates and they found us a table to watch the Tigers games and even cooked up some special offers for us. Great night.

Super Tea Rooms in the old Post Office, so quaint. With a lovely Tea Garden at the back. Good selection of cakes and more substantial food for a good lunch. Nice to have table service. We loved it. Thank you for a lovely cuppa and cake. 😎👍

Well the food hasn't even arrived yet and the service has been rude, surly and unfriendly. The place is freezing and the staff refused to put the heater on and then told us after 10 minutes of waiting, it would be 15 minutes for veggie sausage. Very overpriced. The breakfast was OK but beans and tomatoes, and eggs were tepid to say the least. Bloody awful.

Was surprised we’d never seen this place before. Good quality food. Always nice to find a new independent place to eat. Will be back soon to try more from the menu.
