Overall love this place and is great whatever time you go when you're nearby taking a walk. However, on my last visit earlier this year, we'd had breakfast and on a whole vegetarian table unfortunately had some bacon found in my dish. We did flag this to the staff and they did reimburse us and deal with it promptly even offering a free drink.

Decided to go out for breakfast on Mother's Day without a table booked. Thought it wouldn't be possible, but managed to find this lovely place. It was very busy but because they didn't work with bookings the tables were flowing, as soon as people finished they left and there were no tables blocked with reservations. The staff was extremely welcoming and advised us that there would be a wait. I had full English, and it was delicious ingredients tasty and cooked to perfection. The only negative thing I have to point out is the crazy price they have for hot drinks almost £5 for a Mocha, and it was a big one. I knew the price before ordering, so it was my choice to order, I'm just saying that it seems a bit overpriced compared to other places. Overall, it was a great experience, and I recommend vividly. Thank you

We went for a walk in Bradgate Park and needed to seat 11 people (including children and infants) for lunch. The Staff could not have been more helpful - they pushed tables together and organised high chairs swiftly. The food service was equally as swift with a range of food options to suit everyone. I personally enjoyed the excellent Mocha. They also allow dogs inside which was a bonus as it was a cold and wet day. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

This tea room is an absolute delight! From the characterful and beautifully finished building right throughout the menu and staff members, my visit was truly faultless. The quality of ingredients was obvious as soon as I stepped foot inside and saw the large array of sweet treats and cakes on offer, they looked amazing but I had no room left to try any after my meal. Onto my own meal itself where I opted for a go to full English breakfast and a hot chocolate, the only word I have is ‘outstanding’. The portion size and quality were amazing and the cost very fair. I cannot wait to return to sample more of the menu! I sat outside in a lovely courtyard and basked in the sunshine whilst other diners around me chatted away about their walks through the Bradgate Park estate which created a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at The Old Post Office Tea Rooms and am very much looking forward to my next visit.

This place is fab, only dog friendly eat in within close distance to Bradgate which is insane!! The chap doing the Christmas lights was great.. We had a double buggy with our twins in it. The staff couldn't of been more helpful!! The Christmas hot choc menu is incredible, I had the rolo and coffee was reported to be very good. We decided to have a importu meeting here as I'm new to the area and my colleagues had heard a lot about Bradgate Park. Our first interaction with the staff member who served us was lovley, she made us feel warm and welcome and made us all smile. The tea rooms has a warm vibe, is a very lovley place to have a catchup or a meeting. Comfy seats, lolvey decor etc The coffee was also lovley (and I am I coffee enthusiast) The staff member who severd us (mature indivual) however we did not feel any warmth from, in fact we felt it was more of a 'why are you here' type of feel we felt. My colleague noticed she was polite and friendly to others, but seemed to not want to smile or engage with our table. Being from a ethnic minority , and in all honeslty probably not nesscarily looking like a 'local' This is not the first time I have felt this. I wasn't sure weither or not to leave a review and but too often Individals like the staff mentioned go un-challenged. My suggestion as a fellow business owner would be you have some diversity traning for your staff, as my colleagues who are not from a ethics minority also noticed the difference in approach. I would love to say this is the first time I have felt this, however around 4-5 months ago, myself and another colleague popped in for a coffee. We were both dressed in tracksuits as we had gone for a walk beforehand. He is not from the area but he stated he felt like we were not welcome. Whilst we probably didn't look like business owners (not that owners have a look) this tea room can be judgemental and 100% make u feel uncomfortable. Very sad to be writing this in 2023 I base my review on 2 trips and will not be making a 3rd trip. Happy to discuss further should you wish.

Having heard about the tearoom for a few years, today was the day for tea and cake. Or should I say cakes. We couldn’t just have one, because the first round was so good, we had round two straight after! We went for the recommended carrot cake, and that was polished off pretty sharpish. Moist, delicious and unpretentious. Just a good slabette of cake washed down with a latte. Round two consisted of a very well made apricot Bakewell tart and a slice of coffee and walnut cake (we hadn’t had lunch....hence being general greedy guts with two portions of cake). The lunches going out looked superb, will most definitely return to try their wares. Service was very swift indeed, pleasant and there are plenty of little titbits around to tempt to take on the road home. The tearoom is cosy, old fashioned with dark woods, a hotchpotch of chairs, tables and cushions, and that is exactly how it should be, great work. It’s only a few minutes outside from Inverurie, not difficult to find, and this is a cracking business. Long live the Old Post Office Tearooms in the Chapel of Garioch.

As soon as I went inside I was served and choose a table outside where a polite young lady brought me my tea & scone & change. Lovely scone & tea & service was excellent. Definitely worth a visit if your in the area. There is a board outside which clearly states whats available from the menu as well as daily specials, which are sandwiches, scones & quiches with salad & similar. Most certainly a place I will include in my cycle runs in future.

My son and I cycled 7 miles on a beautiful Sun morning to have breakfast only to be severely disappointed!!! Arriving at 09:55 for a restaurant opening at 10:00 only to find it was already fully operational and rather busy, clearly not opening at 10:00 as the opening hours dictate? We eventually got served and I said we were here for breakfast and was immediately informed we don't do breakfasts we only offer bagels or ciabatta rolls as mentioned on the blackboard menu which consisted of bacon, cranberry and brie or goats cheese and cranberry of a falafel ?? Clearly there was a display of amazingly good cakes and home bakes but not something you would have for breakfast!Following a gluten free diet I mentioned this and had hoped for some eggs n bacon or porridge but clearly not an option the best they could offer me was a gf bacon roll. Whilst totally disappointed and after a rather energetic bike ride my appetite was beyond a gf bacon roll however having no other option available, I reluctantly accepted and my son chose the same only on ciabatta roll. We were asked if we would like any drinks and I chose an orange juice which I was directed to the cabinet for a small bottle of orange juice which was very nice but expensive. The food arrived and it was also disappointing being a small GF roll with the fattiest streaky bacon inside which wasn't even crispy and ended up dissecting the roll to remove all the fat and was left with on;y a mouthful of actual bacon, my sons was the same all served with a side salad at 10:15 in the morning??. Not something I would have expected for breakfast. I cant obviously comment on the size of kitchen facilities but I would have thought they have a stove and would be able to scramble or fry a couple of eggs or indeed conjure up a bowl of porridge even in a microwave. My son was expecting to have pancakes but that wasn't available either. We left after grudgingly paying £14.10 for 2 bacon rolls and 2 drinks which was most expensive for what we received. This was not my first visit although the previous time was only for tea and scones/cakes which was beautiful. We left disgruntled and confused as the blackboard said lunch available from 11:30-3pm which is great but whats available from 10:00 to 11:30, clearly not breakfast and indulging in cakes and home bakes is not my idea of a healthy breakfast.I will not be returning, whilst the staff were nice this place is over priced and very limited selection available if you are looking for something other than lunch & cakes.

The ladies in charge were genuinely helpful, friendly and obliging. We have been travelling to Scotland for over thirty years and this could be our best place for lunch. Shame we don't live nearby....and we love Scottish weather!
