Incredible personal warm welcome for a family celebration. This is an absolute hidden gem that needs to be recognised and given the credit it deserves. We had been for a Sicilian Sunday lunch and returned for pizza/pasta night to celebrate a significant anniversary confident that our friends and family would be blown away with the authenticity and quality of food on offer.They were not disappointed and we were as impressed with our return visit as we were our first. Visited with some good friends and enjoyed amazingly delicious pizzas, made to feel very welcome by all the staff and the whole setting was fantastic. Felt very well looked after and the whole evening was very pleasant and relaxed. We sat outside and even when the evening started to feel a little chilly the offer of blanket offered that personal caring touch. Would highly recommend trying out this little hidden gem out and we will definitely be returning . Thank you

This is the best breakfast and pasta you can get in Leicester what a place everting about it from the service to the food is first class can’t praise it enough I go to a lot of cafes and this is by far the best in town without a doubt Melo is a top class chef without a doubt pure quality Number 1 in Leicester 🔥🔥5 star

passing by on our way to a meeting we saw what looks like a truckers cafe. Well what a surprise proper breakfast with English mustard HP and heinz ketchup in a bottle. also what looks like excellent pastries VERY well worth a stop

On my travels I thought I’d try this place as I’ve passed it many times and was on my route. Unfortunately they didn’t take phone orders, but understandable in this trade I guess for P&L margins for dummy orders and so on, but would have really helped me out on the day as time was pressed…and I was hungry. Also it’s cash only, which in today’s electronic transactional world is odd and I would guess catches a few people out, but that’s the businesses prerogative. Outside 1st impressions, not great to be fair. The outside dining area is right next to the car park and very loud if you’re trying to have a relaxing meal. Maybe quieter later in the day. The window boxes outside have had little love recently which hosted a variety of dead or dying plant life. There was also lots of cobwebs etc on the main entrance. Also, the designated assembly point, in case of a fire or evacuation, was interesting very close to the road and petrol station. I think the rear car park would be a safer option, but this may not be the choice of the cafe and be pre designated by the H&S team. Inside, much better. Clean and seemingly comfortable with a few patrons enjoying their meals. Guy serving was smiling and friendly. I think there was a review previously that said something along the lines of this was a transport cafe. Tbf, it is without trying to take anything away from its ambitions. The website (Which is very good) I think sells it as something else and from the reviews does some very good Sicilian courses, but the main trade here is breakfasts I’d suggest, which I’m guessing tells its own story. The cobs we had were served quickly and were of good quality, so no grumbles there. As with all dining experiences, the first bite is in the presentation, unfortunately if passing trade think the outside isn’t great there’re unlikely to be drawn in next time around. Maybe back one day.

Best ham/salami/cheese board in a decade in Nottingham. Excellent home made pastas, a fabulous bottle of wine, decent coffee and a lovely home-made biscuity dessert. Hard to believe this 1970, small house, next to a Shell garage can do this. Don't be put off by the exterior/interior. Don't have the English fry-ups at lunch; this is really high quality Sicilian home cooking. Carmelo - chef, patron, maitre d' and general factotum knows his stuff... be it pizza, pasta or patisserie. I went with a chum ( who had lived a few months in Catania, Sicily from where the Chef comes) we both agreed it was excellent. We will be back.

Top draw ingredients all put together with skill, love and thought to produce some truly memorable food. A slightly quirky location but we loved it. Dare to be different! Despite a full restaurant, Carmelo took time out of the kitchen to to talk to everyone.

This place of local recommendation for a reason. Pizza melts in our mouth, light and really good quality ingredients. Slightly odd location on a busy dual carriage way and small inside but this doesn’t take away from the quality of the food and friendly service.

What a find. It was sheer good luck to stop here. But what a place. Beautifully clean and decorated. Welcoming staff and Chef. We chose Pasta which came with fresh bread and a well dressed salad. All was quite delicious. Thank you.

Great find. We had a simple lunch, but it was freshly prepared, bread very fresh, clearly good quality food. The aked goods available were worthy of a top class bakery. In the evening Italian fare is foremost, again freshly made and wel sourced. Booking essential for this unassuming gem.

We popped in on the recommendation from a local food guide , what a mistake. Situated on the incredibly busy A46 , it's really a transport cafe, the evening menu looks incredible but I can't actually see people driving here in the middle of nowhere at night for dinner. We entered and was greeted by ear splitting rock music that made conversation difficult. Not very Sicillian . The coffee was OK , even though we came just after 1pm they had no cakes. Full English breakfasts were trotted out to a few drivers and the food really didn't look very appetising. We won't be back

This was our first visit to this amazing cafe - everything was perfect . The venue was dressed for Christmas and felt really cosy . The welcome, food, wine and scillian fizzy pop ! Was excellent . The gorgeous bread basket and olive oil took me straight back to Italy and by the end of the 3 hour multi course feast I felt I had joined an Italian family at home - we loved it. The pasta course with the pistachio sauce was probably one of the best dishes I have ever eaten - ever . Looking forward to go back in March for another scillian Sunday dinner.

Really enjoyed our visit today, the food was delish 👌 and the chef came over and had a chat with us, he was genuinley pleased we had all enjoyed our food. You can see this passion in the lovely food he makes, 1st and definately not our last visit, hopfully very soon.. the pizza's look to die for.

What an experience. I was dubious about having a Friday night dinner on the A46, we sat outside (round the back) and were genuinely transported to Italy (both my partner and I got married in Italy - but not to one another!). The food is authentic. That's the best compliment you can give an Italian place. It was delicious. Fabulous service from the chef and two staff. We had superb pizza, garlic bread, calzone, barata salad and some naught deserts. How can somewhere like here be quaint! Great experience - highly recommend. Sonia, Mark, Stan & Ollie

Been coming here for breakfast for a while now and decided to try the dinner menu. There was nothing on the menu that wasn’t superb. The staff are brilliant. Please don’t be put off where it is, the food is THAT good. Hadn’t even left the place and I was texting my friends about when we are coming back.

I did research this cafe, but the reality was even better than I hoped. Authentic Italian Pastries and Coffee. The cannoli are to die for. We stopped here en-route, but it’s worth the trip alone. Don’t be put off by the location next to the A46 and fuel station. I’d give higher score if available. Note cash only.

Every time I have googled for Leicesters best pizza the six hills cafe comes up, and I don’t know why I waited so long to visit but so glad I finally did. The setting was lovely, we sat outside, the staff and owners are super friendly and really informative. The food, and desserts were 10/10 and we can’t wait to come back with the rest of the family. Anyone looking for epic pizza and delicious desserts, highly recommend you visit! Can’t wait to go back

I’ve visited here many times and the place just keeps getting better and better. First class service, incredible food and a passionate Italian chef and partner who drive the business. Whether it be handmade cakes and pastries, pizza or pasta this place is the best. Shame I couldn’t give it more than 5 stars.

Amazing food and staff ❤️ I feel lucky to have eaten here last night. The food was THE NICEST Italian food I’ve ever had and the restaurant staff were the friendliest kindest people! The owner and chef personally came to introduce himself and asked if we enjoyed our meals - I’ve never experienced this before. I really cannot wait to come again soon!

Have been trying to get here for over 2 years having read the reviews but having our own restaurant has always made it a struggle given they only serve pizzas Friday and Saturdays - the busiest times in any hospitality establishment! We finally had some time off and chose here for our weekend off. So glad we did!! What a suburb little gem of a place, lovely warm welcome by Melo and his little team. Pizzas were all outstanding and the homemade desserts were worth finding that extra room for. Will definitely visit again whenever we may get a weekend off. Just got home from an A-MAZ-ING meal here. Food was absolutely delicious, service was brilliant. Can’t wait to find an excuse to visit again. Stopped here before on way to Lincoln . It amazes me that they can serve food quicker than a Mac Donald’s yet the standard is 1st class. Yes it’s a transport cafe but yes it’s spotless and the food is amazing. On top of that they have their own bakery that produces the most amazing cream cakes. Would advise anyone to give this place a try!

Having read so many reviews and read about the awards this place had received finally got to go and sample it. The pizzas are fresh , light and delicious. All ingredients are home made and raw materials sourced locally. Had the diavolo, spicy sausage which is made in the farm opposite. The desserts are irresistible, for somebody with not a big sweet tooth I thoroughly enjoyed the rum baba. All the desserts are made fresh. The owners / chefs are an itialian family from Sicily. They came to talk to us after and we’re very very sincere. The location is a cafe in the services lay-by but the food is reminiscent of any fabulous restaurant in Italy.

Friday night pizza, not been before and had no idea what to expect. Our pizza was superb, the service spot on and general experience supreme.Highly recommended especially as we have driven past so many times we are so happy to recommend giving this cafe a try.

My Dad & me have visited here for breakfast for many years always welcomed nicely by the owner/chef and the lovely ladies that are waitressing. My husband even takes his friends occasionally on route to playing golf every one is impressed.Good quality food the best breakfast compared to any where else we go,the food is always hot served to the table.Lunch time is also nice.The cafe keeps very busy at times & can also do good takeaway if in a hurry as long as you park on the front or in the car park at the back,great service, great food & the very very best breakfast.

We had heard of this pizzeria from a foodie friend with good taste. From the outside it is a rather unimposing transport cafe by the side of the A46 but on a Friday night it is transformed into a fantastic pizzeria! The owner Melo and his wife were so welcoming and friendly. There were 5 of us and we all had different pizzas, all top notch!

Went as a group of four to try their Friday pizza night. Slight glitch on arrival that they only had us down for two but quickly sorted out and all good from then on. Great choice of pizzas starting from just £5 and all freshly cooked with lovely toppings. Then lovely Italian esque deserts - we had 7 between four of us, they were so good! Special mention for the pistachio ice cream and cannolo. Will be back!

By night.....this fabulous and artisan venue provides warmth and authenticity with it's genuine understand and interpretation of Southern Italian food at its best. No wonder we find out the chef is Sicilian! His food is a genuine salute to traditional Souther Italian eating both in ingredients, flavours, style and approach. You cannot eat Italian food like this outside of Southern Italy. Who would have thought you'd find this on the A46! By day......the theme of good wholesome food with honest ingredients and dishes prepared with love and flair continues......whether you want some traditional hearty English breakfast or some artisan Italian home made pastries. Just WOW!

We visited as a family of 5 for pizza on a Friday night. A friendly greeting awaited us, and we ordered several pizzas. These were clearly created with thought, and care. The pizzas were all homemade, tasty and authentically Italian. We grabbed several pastries to go when we left and the pastries alone are worth a visit, they are something very special. Reasonable price as well. All in all this little place on the a46 is punching well above it’s weight. I think it produces some of the best food you can get for many, many miles.

We visited six hills cafe on a Friday evening for pizza night. The pizza was so good! We didn’t realise we could bring our own alcohol (we will know for next time) but they had a great selection of soft drinks.

We went to the famous Friday pizza night. The special was figs, Parma ham and goats cheese. What a pizza. It tasted amazing. The dough was perfect and the toppings went together brilliantly. My husband had a simple Margherita which was really tasty. Desserts are on offer if you fancy it. Gather some friends and beer and wine and head to the Six Hills Cafe, great night out

The cake cabinet looked so amazing decided to leave the savoury for another time! The pistachio eclair was perfect -the creme patisserie just delicious-although was very tempted by the other homemade treats too! A simple cafe belies a great freshly made menu-will definitely be back!!

We stopped at the Six Hills Cafe on the A46 last Friday afternoon. We were so pleased to find it as we had been stuck in traffic jams for the best part of 3 hours. The place was unbelievably busy and we all ordered the set breakfast which comes with a hot coffee or tea.

Service poor, overcharged at till until I corrected the maths. 1 of 3 breakfast served because 2 were taken to the wrong table. Breakfast was finished before the other 2 breakfasts turned up. Be careful with the menu. Set 3 is 50p more than set 2 where you get a few mushrooms INSTEAD of a helping of chopped tomatoes. Discussed with owner if I pay more I reasonably expect more. Owner didn’t really care. Mushrooms are more expensive than tomatoes. May be the case but the portion size of mushrooms about quarter the size of tomatoes. I understand how petty this sounds but if you want value for money and paying £6 for a breakfast, this isn’t it. Not the best breakfast experience.
