The best restaurants serving British food in Amber Valley East Midlands

I visit this café a couple of times a week for filled rolls or salads for a disabled friend of mine who is housebound. The quality of the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I usually telephone and order in advance and the food is invariably ready on time. The staff are very friendly. I thoroughly recommend this café

Always friendly and always great tasting coffee and cakes. Every village needs somewhere like this. They deserve to be successful.

I visited the small cafe and what a wonderful place experienced a lovely meal and atmosphere. Service The service was very good your treated like a personal customer friendly and well informed. Food The food was well cooked hot and and I asked for my egg to be well done. The egg was superb so was the drink a really nice one. Where The cafe is in debradelei Mill near Morrison’s in Belper Derbyshire. it’s on the first floor and is accessible if you use the small lift not the large one. Staff will help if you need it.

Great atmosphere. At the moment (Feb 2025), they are waiting for a new chef, so food isn't being served from what I can gather, but I think that should change soon once someone is employed

This is a lovely family-run hotel just ten minutes from Derby city centre. Didn't have dinner but it was quite possibly the best hotel breakfast I've ever had! Friendly service and spacious rooms - good value for money. Oh and the shower pressure was fabulous. We were staying on a bank holiday weekend but it felt very quiet. There's a couple of small things they could do to elevate the property further, e.g. investing more in the toiletries, better cushions for the lounge areas, updating the cocktail menu. But I'm quite sure I'm being a fussy Londoner! Looked like a good spot for an intimate wedding.

Well, I popped in for a pint and was warmly welcomed , then I fancied a dessert , plenty to choose from, eventually ordered the crumble of the day. Outstanding well done . The service is professional , friendly, and relaxing at the same time .I'm not sure when I will visit again, but sooner than later

Went to this venue for a bikers weekend festival. The Staff could not be more helpful. Spotlessly clean and fantastic venue. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. My only suggestion, would be a golf buggy shuttle to the bus stop at the end of the drive, but that's cos I'm idle lol.

Regular customers of the Spike Bar & always greeted with lovely, efficient service from Josh. He has a great rapport with customers & a friendly manner & is an asset to Morley Hayes. It was exceptionally busy during our most recent visit & Josh was rushed off his feet but still remained professional and provided excellent customer service. Thanks Josh 👍

First time visiting after going to the hospital near by, both had the fish and chips, huge portions of fish nicely cooked and very good value. Staff friendly and interior of pub very nicely done. Definitely worth a visit

Lovely clean cafe plenty of choice on the menu. They need to up there game a very poor bacon sandwich dry bacon inside white sliced bread totally flavorless. Big hot mug coffee which looked promising also flavorless. Not expensive but you get what you pay for. On a plus point the staff were delightful.

I want to say how delicious the Mother's Day Sunday meal was today . We were a party of 7 and the whole meal and drinks were fantastic, we were so impressed with the quality and presentation of the food and most importantly it was extremely delicious . All the waiters and waitresses were so friendly, polite, and helpful. The chef needs applauding for this masterpiece! Having eaten at a few “high rated” restaurants, todays meal at Nourish by far out strips any other meal we have ever eaten. Will highly recommend. Best wishes,
