I visited here to do a craft class which they hold on a Wednesday and Friday, they also a Grief and Dementure class. I didnt eat but they serve a good cafe. They have a garden at the back of the place and a small area inside for children.

Went with friends on a sunny Friday. Superb atmosphere, great Sancerre :)

Great food, excellent vibe and the team were so welcoming. Small place so its busy so reserve space if you want food. My friend had the Japanese bowl which I tried and it was amazing. Thanks for a wonderful evening

Great selection of real ales from a variety of different breweries! Interesting memorabilia and friendly staff. Well worth a visit!

Found this little chippy while on a hike. This is a real gem. 💯 The small cod and chips was a good portion, couldn't finish all by myself, hubby happily helped out. We had mushy peas and curry sauce and they were amazing! All home-made and delicious. The fish was tasty and the batter was crispy and not greasy at all. The chips was nice too. Freindly people, lovely place, you can eat in too. Don't miss it poeple, when you are in Ambergate!

AFTERNOON TEA here is epic! This was a truly excellent top quality and fabulously presented afternoon tea platter for two - sandwiches, cakes, desserts, bottomless tea - BRILLIANT - highly recommend. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful throughout. The view of the course and the passing trains and beautiful sun shining in through the windows made our time there perfect. Totally relaxing and of a very high standard indeed - thank you x

Delicious Thai food at Tom Yum Thai Kitchen. We ordered the set menu so shared a platter with five starters including spring rolls and gyoza, everything was really tasty. The mains were chicken in oyster sauce, beef massaman curry and a duck dish. Everything was well presented and tasted so good. We were staying locally for the weekend and specifically drove to Belper to find this place after hearing good things! It was very busy for a Sunday, I imagine with it being a bank holiday weekend, so the staff were rushed off their feet, but were still brilliant. Just a note about the toilets which are up some stairs and down a corridor; the restaurant is located in a converted mill.

Fabulous 80th Birthday meal for my Mum. Lovely food, friendly staff, and a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff even sang happy birthday for Mum, and lit a candle in her dessert. We’ve eaten at Armando’s 3 or 4 times now. The food and service have always been consistently excellent. Thank you. Keep up the great work!

Brilliant brunch today, porridge and hot salmon with avocado and scrambled eggs with salad( normally comes with soda bread). Absolutely fantastic,great service. Thank you

Beer is kept well. A bit pricey of late but a nice pub.

After being let down last minute for a birthday we called them to ask if it was possible to come and grab quite a few brownies from them, Dean went above and beyond to make some just for us, the brownies were better than we’ve ever tasted before, a variety of chocolate with different toppings that went down a treat. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using regularly.
