Armando's Restaurant at The Talbot Hotel in Amber Valley

My daughter enjoyed her 18th birthday meal with friends and complimented how beautiful the food, ambience and service made her night extra special

We had dinner in this edge of town location. We loved the italian food choices, the atmosphere and the helpful and attentive staff. The Grade 2 listed building has a number of stairs to climb to arrive at the dining room but there is an alternative short route from the car park, which i am sure could be used for patrons with mobility problems. We discovered there are two car parks, one immediately on the right of the building plus one over the road. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area.

Excellent meal, very attentive service. Fully recommended this place. My friend and I dropped in and was fortunate to get a table, I think you won't be disappointed

Had a fantastic meal which wasn't cheap but was so tasty and with wonderful service

Been tonight, food is lovely. Just a bit disappointed we felt very rushed sat down for 8.45pm and had starters and main course by 9.30. It was for my 20th wedding anniversary as well, would have liked it to last longer.

Another fabulous Italian meal, from bread all the way through to the limoncello aperitif, with exceptional service. Attentive wait staff, their & Caroline's care for our celebration day was second to none... they even decorated our table ! I had specific menu details to advise according to my choice of meal or drink mixer because of allergy & medication needs. The wait staff were knowledgeable about individual dish ingredients & preparation. They were able to advise alternative ingredients or mixer options, & coordinate my needs with the chefs with professionalism & confidence. Importantly, if they were at all unsure they deferred without hesitation to Caroline's experience. I felt confidently safe in their hands. This is an excellent Italian fine dining experience from a friendly local restaurant. Both of our visits felt relaxed & personable & the food was fabulous. I can heartily recommend fine dining at Armando's Restaurant at The Talbot Hotel, Belper. If I have any hesitation at all in writing my review then it's because I worry they may become too popular...so please don't book it too full because we love being able to eat there !!

A birthday celebration. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Service was excellent. Highly recommended. Thank you to the chef and all staff.

Amazing seafood and great service

Thank you to the staff and chefs at The Talbot, for a wonderful meal last night. The six of us enjoyed a variety of choices and loved every one. The wine was excellent and the waitresses smiling and helpful. We can’t wait to come again. Thank you too, Armando.

10/10 What a wonderful restaurant great food cooked by chef owner Armando and a warm welcome by Caroline Co owner and Armado's wife ( I believe) plus not forgetting the fantastic waiting on staff these girls are amazing. Thank you all and we can't wait to return.

We went with friends on their recommendation and all I can say is that it was one of the most enjoyable experiences of eating great food I have in a very long time. I am already looking forward to the next visit.

We have been to this place a few times. Everyone we have been with says the food is fantastic and really enjoyed the meal. I’m veggie and I find the food to be nice but don’t enjoy it as much as my family, and the choices a little limited. However we will be returning again in the future.

About 20 of us ate at Armando's last night in celebration of my grandson's 25th birthday. We enjoyed a great meal and the service was very attentive from all of the staff. I'm very happy to recommend this restaurant for everything from cosy meals for two, to groups. They can cope and the food is delicious! Thank you

I can't comment on the hotel...but the restaurant was THE culinary event of the year!!! I was visiting friends for Christmas and was treated to this masterpiece of a meal...I had halibut and it was just simply beautiful...espresso coffee with ice cream ...heaven...the service was 10 stars...we felt like royalty ❤️ massive compliments to the chef and the whole team!! Thank you for making our evening so special 💕
