Brilliant place. The food is absolutely delicious. The owner is lovely and always has time for you. The atmosphere is really lovely. 💯 recommend Rokaa to anyone who wants to try Mediterranean food. You will not be disappointed.

It's rare to find a restaurant where everything just delivers above your expectations whilst also knowing its own strengths so well it will surprise you and possibly cause you to reassess them. Popping in from the murky high street you can just escape for a little bit and try Turkish cuisine that makes you say 'wow' outloud. The flavours are amazing... well I think so. Also, it is quite a reasonable price especially with the midday offer and the dishes are plentiful without overfacing you. The dining premises are very clean and pass close up inspection for a fussy diner, the atmosphere chilled, the service is simple and courteous, unrushed, and it is all delivered with pride. Food is cooked and presented very very well, tastes very fresh, and with the added bonus of complimemtary Turkish tea I think it's great.

The Rokaa restaurant offers a good selection of traditional Turkish meals that range from fish , to meat & various salad options , plus the classic Turkish style breads that are all prepared & cooked fresh to order upon your visit . The restaurant has an open view galley kitchen & you can see the Rokaa chef team working away making a real Turkish delight for your dining experience here @ the Rokaa . The food served is well presented & is a feast for the eyes as well as for the table ! & Is served by polite & friendly staff . The portion sizes here are very generous in my opinion & quite filling , so it's a good place to dine for those with a healthy appetite . The restaurant is also fully licensed to serve alcoholic drinks , so you can have a Turkish beer , raki or wine to accompany your meal , or perhaps even have a Turkish tea ! Which upon my visit was very light & floral , with a slight rose aftertaste & was most pleasant . The prices here are mid range & considering portion sizes & the quality of service , plus it's upmarket approach to the decor & interior design it offers an excellent value for money drinks & dining experience for the customer . The vibe of the Rokaa is cosy & intimate & has some vintage inspired low glow lighting features & some Turkish & middle eastern kilim inspired decor plus a wine inspired art feature that may inspire your drink selection for the table . Lastly but not least upon my visit the restaurant was cleaned to an exceptionally high standard in all areas & as before mentioned the cooking station is open plan so you can see they have a very high standard for hygiene . A must place visit for those who enjoy Turkish cuisine & good levels of service in pleasant surroundings can only recommend .

10 of us visited Rokka on Saturday night and we certainly wasn’t disappointed. Service was brilliant and the food was delicious. . Really big portions and reasonably priced . Came here as a party of 13. The place was packed not a spare seat. You will have to book a table for this plavce.. All 13 orders came correct and nothing missing. I had the lamb shank. The meat fell off the bone there was no need for a knife it was incredible 100% would recommend and will come again.

This is our “go-to” when it comes to takeaways, the food and service is absolutely amazing. The salad is delicious and fresh, the meats are always nice and the flatbreads are fresh. When we collect we are always greeted by a smile and Turkish delight! It is always busy in the restaurant!

What can I say other than excellent. Amazing choice on the menu, food was perfect. Friendly and attentive staff, not rushed at all. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely be returning again. Don't hesitate, just go, you won't regret it 👌🏻

Visited this restaurant today to celebrate my daughters & her best friends joint birthday. The restaurant is very clean and modern and the staff were welcoming and helpful from the moment we walked through the door . I’m not usually one for leaving reviews , however for this place I make an exception. The food was amazing , delicious and fresh with so much flavour. The salad , bread and dips were so tasty , the size of the portions are generous the taste of the food was even better than that I have experienced in Istanbul, Olu Deniz or Icemelar . This place is well worth a visit and I will definitely be returning , the meal was worth every penny , the staff and the ambience was wonderful. I would really recommend this restaurant for the quality of fresh food , taste ,flavour, service and staff. Thank you very much for a lovely evening and experience, I can’t wait to return

Thought it was bit pricey but otherwise very good and popular, service is excellent food is well presented,good experience, but not my favourite.

The rice they make is delicious and fragrant. Well, the salmon is a little overcooked. The mutton is very delicious.

What a place! Had a fantastic start to a trip away by randomly stopping in Ripley for a night. The food here was gorgeous, finest Turkish kebabs with an array of different specials available. Good choice of hot and cold starters as well, and massive portions, but a good willingness to provide a doggy bag! Staff were excellent, all so friendly and attentive. The hosts were excellent, and everyone in the place, staff and customers, looked so happy to be there! This place is well worth stopping by if you are in the area, but make sure you book a table, it's popular!

Had a lovely authentic meal with generous portions and tasty sides. We were recommended to try ROKAA and we will return soon and gladly recommend this gem. Ps the service and staff were fast polite and attentive without being intrusive a real credit.

This used to be the best burger restaurant around( I live over 30 miles away). They've now altered there quizeine to specialise in kebabs. 3 of us had the mixed kebab. Don't be confused with the kebab shop round the corner, these are very special kebabs. Superb service, high standard of cleanliness & the staff are very friendly. Definitely ten out of ten. We'll be going back! Parking is free in the street after 4.00 pm I believe.

Last night I visited Rokaa for the first time with a friend. My daughter had been and recommended it. Truly fabulous food. Lamb Beyti, Lamb Kofte served with Salad and Rice. The salad was huge and so fresh the meal was presented in an attractive way. The Salad was on a separate plate and was a wheel of colour. We finished with pistachio cake - delicious. Ripley is very lucky to have such a great place to eat, catch up with friends and give a great friendly vibe.

Excellent. Large portions naked sure you are hungry. Carry out bags supplied. A good recondition.

Visited for the second time today and again the food was beautiful. Everything we ordered was perfection. Be warned though, take a good appetite 😄 there is plenty of food and you won't want to leave anything 🤣 Will look forward to our next visit.

My friend and I thought we'd treat ourselves to a nice lunch and we certainly weren't disappointed. We got a friendly welcome from the guy who served us and he was very helpful in telling us about various dishes and what they consisted of. We had starters which were lovely, followed by lamb shish for me and chicken shish for my friend. It was absolutely delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. The decor is lovely, spotlessly clean and inviting and the house wine was spot on too. All in all, a superb culinary experience and we will definitely be back!

Dined here on bank hol Sunday and it left a lasting impression. The food was incredibly tender and flavorful, with each dish bursting with authentic spices and fresh ingredients. The kebabs were especially delicious, cooked to perfection, and served with fluffy rice and warm bread. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions offered. This restaurant is a true gem for anyone craving delicious Turkish cuisine.

Staying in Ripley with the kids so I used trip advisor to look for a local restaurant to eat that seemed suitable - I trusted the good reviews and took a chance, booking a table for 6pm on a Saturday night - glad we booked as it was very busy! The restaurant was located on a high street with lots of closed shops so felt a bit weird as we approached, but once there it was lovely inside with a friendly, warm atmosphere, good service and I loved the plush turquoise chairs! There were a couple of other tables with kids so we didn't feel out of place. Most importantly the food was delicious, huge portions, colourful salad and succulent meat. They even do chicken nuggets and chips for my picky 6 yr old, but my 9 yr old hoovered up the chicken shish with gusto. If we're ever back in Ripley we would definitely return 😊

This was my second visit to Rokka, a warm welcome on both occasions. The restaurant was organised, clean and tidy. The staff were very attentive and thorough throughout, the owner came across to check that we were happy with our meals. Great choice of food and drinks all at a very good price, the food is fresh, very well presented …. five stars definitely deserved for a quality restaurant . Excellent visit to Rokaa, this was our first time and I was impressed. The salad was presented wonderfully, mixed colours and full of flavour, I had a combination of both Lamb and Chicken kebab, served with rice - again everything was full of flavour, my wife had salmon which was delicate and delicious. The staff were great without being imposing, the owner was welcoming, offering a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Heard many good reviews of this place, my son has been before but it was my first time. Had a lovely meal, the food is amazing so fresh and flavourful. Not overpriced either and the portions are good. Highly recommend a visit here.

We ordered for delivery so cannot speak for the restaurant but the food we received was prompt, well packaged and delicious. Everything was wonderful, hot and it was a large portion. We will definitely be visiting the restaurant and ordering from here again.

Amazing! Worth driving over an hour for. This is proper authentic Turkish cuisine. Management and staff are so welcoming and so lovely. The food is perfect! I don't even live no where near Derby but I will definitely visit again!

If you're planning to visit a Turkish restaurant, Roka is the place to go! The food is incredibly delicious, the cleanliness is impeccable, and Rasim, the owner and chef, is exceptionally attentive. His dishes are so good you'll be licking your fingers! It's a must-visit, and once you go, you'll find yourself wanting to return every time you have the chance!

If I was single I would just eat here every other day (it will take 48 hours for you to become hungry again!) Service is exceptional, little bowl of olives arrived at the table within moments of being seated, menu is full of fantastic looking stuff so we dove in, accompanying the food was a huge bowl of fantastic salad and some really nice flatbread so be aware, you will have tons to go at! The food itself was faultless, fresh and fairly healthy, the owner (I assume) personally came over to make sure we were happy which was a great touch, the value cannot be overstated, the amount of quality food presented was fabulous! Went to Roka barbecue in Ripley yesterday on a friend's recommendation, we were not at all disappointed the food was lovely with all the flavours. We ordered the mixed kebabs sharer which comes with a really nice salad in a big bowl also rice and a couple of dips which were quite tasty. We also got a dish of olives while I'm not a big fan of them, the wife loved them. This place ticks almost all the boxes my only qualm was the drinks were a bit pricey.

Second time we've been, took some friends with us to see what they thought Excellent again , great tasting fresh salad and delicious skewers, the flavours are very authentic. Our friends want to go back for their son's birthday. Very good staff and spotlessly clean. Congratulations to them, this is a winner.

Love this place. Only found it a few months ago but have been back several times since. AMAZING food. Staff are super friendly. You get a massive complimentary salad after ordering. Even got a complimentary Baklava on our last visit. Highly recommended.

Absolutely outstanding! The flavours, the variety, the fact that you don't feel gross after eating your own bodyweight in food - just absolute 10/10! We have eaten in and had takeaway from Rokaa and we're so impressed with how well it travels as a takeaway. The containers are brilliant and good for re-useing, and there's no compromise on flavour when you order it for takeaway. It's hands down the best, most flavoursome, most delicious meal every time we have it!

The food was super yummy and the service was utterly brilliant. Tyra (I think was her name) was so friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. We went on a recommendation and we will pass it on to others. Will definitely be back.

We have just been to Roka for the first time after recommendations from people. We shared a Roka mixed grill which comes with either chips or rice and salad and a choice of two cold sides. I can honestly say everything was amazing and there was enough for 4 people never mind 2. The restaurant was full at 7.00 on a Thursday evening so that says something for how good it is. The staff are friendly and welcoming and we got olives , bread and dips and Turkish tea thrown in. We don't live in Ripley but it was definitely worth the drive over there. I would definitely recommend Roka to anyone who enjoys Turkish food and the prices compared to Derby are very reasonable. Booking is recommended due to popularity. We will be booking again soon.

The only thing I’ve can say that negative is that the online prices aren’t up to date to the menu, other than that the food was very good, very good service, nice, friendly and efficient. Food was very fresh from the starters to the main and the homemade lemonade was very nice too.

Starters are pretty large so hope you have big appetites. Food as a whole was fantastic and the service was timely and friendly. Great value for money!

Our first time eating here and we had a lovely experience! Our server Tyra was brilliant! And I think he may have been the owner was also brilliant! We asked them to choose our food as we had never eaten in a Turkish restaurant before. And they didn’t disappoint! You get so much food! And it’s very reasonably priced too. We had chicken and lamb over hummus and rice, can’t remember the name of it but it was delicious 🤤 highly recommend! We will be back! Thank you Rokaa

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and it was a delightful experience. The menu offers a diverse range of dishes that cater to various tastes. The highlight of my meal was the chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb kofte, chicken kofte and chicken wings served with rice and salad which was cooked to my satisfaction.

Been 3xs now , Absolutely Amazing dishes, Fantastic Value for money, Staff are brill , go out their way to make you feel welcome, 100% Recommend A++++++

Had a fantastic evening here, nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing. The service was spot on and accommodating especially for those with changes to the dishes. Would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back.

Went with my 1year old we made alittle mess with the rice and chicken but was made to feel so welcome and the atmosphere was amazing baby was dancing to the wonderful music in the background and staff was so friendly hand helpful its family friendly and will be taking the whole family back there food was nom nom as my 1year old says

Went for the first time recently and it won't be the last, the food is amazing and you do get quite alot ,the service is excellent the atmosphere with the open kitchen is spot on even had the head chef coming out to see if everyone was ok which you don't get often. Not one bad word to say. But you need to book because it was rammed .

The food was brilliant. Good size portions and tasted fantastic. The service was attentive and efficient. The staff were very helpful and well mannered whilst dealing with our order. The atmosphere was great, we dined around 5.15 and it was busy. I would suggest booking ahead. It's great to see a restaurant doing so well in the town centre. Overall, great food and service. I was here at Roka on a Sunday evening, with family members who live in Belper and love Roka. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, cheery and efficient, the atmosphere excellent.

Had a fantastic meal there today to celebrate our anniversary. The service was very friendly and prompt. We both had the mixed kebab which came with rice, salad, complimentary olives and flat bread. Being greedy we ordered chips to share. The food was delicious and plentiful. Overly full stomachs all round. We were even given a take home box for leftovers. If you are in Ripley please go to this delightful restaurant. You won't regret it!

Visited Roka now on a couple of occasions with friends and have been really impressed. The meats on offer always taste great. A great addition to Ripley and will visit regularly. We were given tea on our first visit but not 2nd, not sure if this is standard or not.

Popped in for a business lunch and was recommended the lunchtime menu by the very fabulous FOH. Two mezze starters and a choice of kebabs for main. Also came with olives, bread, dips and a huge salad. All very tasty and excellent value. Highly recommend.

Food Great. Nice portions. What let's this place down was the wait between starters and mains. Well over an hour. I think the issue is booking management and Take away management. Several large tables all came in at same time and lots of Takeaways too. They need stagger start times and slow down on accepting Takeaways when busy.

Ordered a take away for the family. Food was delicious and probably the best take-away we've ever had! We had 4 meals (with a couple of specific dietary requirement changes) and everything was cooked to perfection. Was ready very quickly too.
