The best restaurants in Amber Valley East Midlands

Just had afternoon tea celebrating my birthday with 12 friends. We all had a wonderful time loads of lovely fresh food pots of tea and coffee and were provided with plastic boxes for left over food.All the food was amazing and have no problem in recommending Fairways as the place to go.

Excellent quality food, freshly prepared & the flavours are delicious. Exceptional service and staff, who want you to have a good time, very knowledgeable about the menu , allergies etc. Portion sizes were good value for money. There are some stairs inside & I'm unsure if they have a area for people with disabilities, a phone call would be best. A piece of Italy in Belper, nice rustic interior.

Quirky place. You can easily get lost finding your way back from the toilets. Felt a bit awkward because we didn't have a reservation midweek, but we had a table after 5 minutes wait. The food was excellent. The prawn crackers and dip starter was massive. The Thai green curry and sticky rice was very nice, as was the stir fry chicken with ginger etc. Service was good. Recommended.

We came here for the first time as we wanted a nice spot for breakfast, the service was brilliant, staff were very friendly, the food was so delicious and well presented! They also showed us around downstairs where they have a bar and cozy yet still modern lounging area. Would definitely recommend, we will be coming back here!

This is our "local" and has been transformed under new management since our move to Belper 2 years ago. Now in 21stC taking card payments not just cash, very nice atmosphere, dog-friendly, welcoming staff. We had pizzas on a Tues night with special offer on cask beer and they were great! Feels like a real genuine local and they are also expanding the evening menu shortly. Also the advantage of a much shorter uphill walk home than going into town! Keep up the good work Mark and Viv.

Good food at reasonable prices. Good Community atmosphere.

Great micro pub with a good range of ales, we have visited a few times when in the local area. The prices are excellent too.

I popped into the tipp inn early on a Friday evening for take out as I couldn't get out for a drink. The service received was excellent and the ale matched up to the service so well worth writing a review to compliment you and the establishment. I was passing through on my motorbike and was looked after 😊 Thank you

We ordered from the restaurant in February 2022 as it has a reputation for being one of the best chinese takeaways in the area, and we weren't disappointed - the ribs were some of the best I've tasted and the kung pow chicken was served with generous pieces of chicken breast and lightly toasted cashews - delicious! The owner was friendly and we had a nice chat while I was waiting for my food. There's no online website or menu currently but it's worth a look if you're in the area!

Best chinese in Belper! I ordered the Malaysian dry chilli chicken and Thai green curry, which tasted amazing. Will be ordering again.
