Lovely welcome from Sophie with great fresh cakes and sausage rolls. The perfect visit for a walk or drive and visit Crich stand.

We called in during a walk. Sophie made us welcome & we were spoiled for food choice. Opted for the white Tuscan bean soup with a scone and a chicken focaccia sandwich, both delicious. Will try the scotch eggs next time. Such a pleasant place to visit on a walk. Highly recommend.

The food is homemade. My scotch egg had been made about 3 hours before I ate it and with the cakes, cookies etc you were spoilt for choice. On a bitterly cold, sunny morning it was an oasis and very popular with walkers in the area.

Lovely place to stop off at during a walk on a cold winter's day. Delicious home-made soup and lovely cakes, and a warm and friendly welcome. I shall look forward to going back.

I absolutely love this place. Great food at a reasonable price. Fantastic service from a Landlord who genuinely loves his pub and cares about the people who visit it. It truly is hospitality at its best. Highly recommend that you give The Grapes a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious Thai food at Tom Yum Thai Kitchen. We ordered the set menu so shared a platter with five starters including spring rolls and gyoza, everything was really tasty. The mains were chicken in oyster sauce, beef massaman curry and a duck dish. Everything was well presented and tasted so good. We were staying locally for the weekend and specifically drove to Belper to find this place after hearing good things! It was very busy for a Sunday, I imagine with it being a bank holiday weekend, so the staff were rushed off their feet, but were still brilliant. Just a note about the toilets which are up some stairs and down a corridor; the restaurant is located in a converted mill.
