Warm welcome, pork scratchings, proper beer (with a decent rotating selection of guest ales), good prices, roaring fire, dog-friendly, people-friendly, best pub for miles and miles and miles.

Best real Ale micro- pub in our area. Is a tap-room for The Alter Ego brewery. Excellent bar snacks offered and an open-mic event twice a month.

As far as tap rooms go this is one of the friendliest places I’ve ever been. Alter ego brewing have done a fantastic job of making a stylish and bright place that is a pleasure to visit. As lifelong beer stalker I have finally found the the golden lion in nirvana. Everything I drank from alter ego was superb. I look forward to visiting this place again and again. 100%

Proper awesome local micro brewery. Good drinks,pork pies, nice atmosphere and most of all great service. Everyone should go to it and rediscover community.

Fantastic pub with lovely owners that really care about the beers and ciders they serve. The owner also brews beer under the Alter Ego name and these beers and stouts are absolutely top level. Good size pub with outside seating front and rear, child and dog friendly with a fireplace for when it drops cold. I hope with Covid now causing less issues that the Tip Inn goes from strength to strength this year.

Great place for a no nonense pint of great ale. P.S. it's definitely bigger than you think with a beer garden to the rear!

Friendly owners and staff, welcoming and nice decor. Brilliant selection of beers especially the house beers brewed by the owners. Take away available if you bring your own carton and you can take in chips from the chippy across the road.

New owners. New decor. Sunday night open mic between 4-7 was a really nice end to the weekend. A fantastic atmosphere with some very friendly locals. Excellent standard and choice of ales. We will be back very soon

This is a great little pub. Lots of different drinks to choose from. Love the fact they do 1/3rd glasses so you can have 3 different real ales and still only pay the price for a pint a couple of small rooms and then a nice paved enclosed garden. Right on a bus route 👍

What a friendly little pub this is. A pint of decent lager, (Estrella) and a mid size glass of Sauvingon blanc..... Half the price of most other places. Brilliant!!
