After being let down last minute for a birthday we called them to ask if it was possible to come and grab quite a few brownies from them, Dean went above and beyond to make some just for us, the brownies were better than we’ve ever tasted before, a variety of chocolate with different toppings that went down a treat. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using regularly.

Cute old word setting. I think sandwiches weren't ideal. I would have preferred some traditional fillings. Cheese scone undercooked, and the cakes were nice but quite rich. Lots of food available so you won't leave hungry and tea was nice. Girl who served us was extremely polite and couldn't do enough. I won't return to be honest.

Arrived to a lovely welcome to this unassuming ‘patisserie’ to be told our table was ‘up up’. We headed up the windy staircase to a fabulous room with three tables. We had booked afternoon tea for 5 people and were not disappointed. Great service. Although a full menu was available, we had pre booked afternoon tea - so had a choice of tea or coffee to accompany it. Wow! The sandwiches…smoked salmon/cream cheese, beetroot/cheese, ham, tikka chicken salad were delicious. The selection and quality of the cakes and scones was fabulous. Freshly baked and with clotted cream and individual potions of both butter and jam. I would definitely recommend!!

Visited with my 6yr old today, they didn't have a children's menu but were very accommodating when I enquired and made my daughter a ham sandwich (not on menu) at a lower price yo adult sandwiches. Great Chunky ham on the sandwich and I had the quiche which was delicious. Great coffee and yummy cakes 🎂

Afternoon Tea!!! If you’re looking for the best afternoon tea in Belper, this beautiful retreat of a cafe is your place. You have an array of items and are spoilt for choice. I couldn't believe what they sold me over a bank holiday!I can only think the usual staff were on holiday . This patisserie is usually known for the most perfect cakes, but both the cakes I purchased were comprised of sickeningly sweet butter icing and sponge. I'm not sure if this was a money making exercise , or something else, but to say I'm surprised is an understatement .

My wife and I planned to visit Belper today and looked on Trip Advisor for some ideas for lunch. We settled on Beaurepaire Patisserie and we were not disappointed. We had home made soup with a cheese scone and followed up with home made cakes and decaf coffee. The quality was excellent and the portion of soup was very generous and included a small pot of cream should you wish to add that into the soup, which was a lovely touch. The staff were welcoming and friendly , everywhere was spotless and the decor in rooms was lovely. We will certainly return when next in the area . Highly recommended

Wouldn't go anywhere else for afternoon tea! Not the 1st visit, and exceptional as usual! Delicious sandwiches, savoury croissants, crisp yorkshire pudding with beef and coleslaw, cheese scone and butter. Scones with jam and chantilly cream, and an assortment of delicious cakes. Of course we had to take a box home! Unlimited tea/coffee etc, all served with a smile and very attentive service. All covid precautions in place. This was our first venture out since lockdown for food outside of home. It was a birthday present from March, an excellent present. If you want to feel safe give this establishment some support. Afternoon Tea was excellent gluten-free for the wife and normal for me, all the food was excellent, lots of variety sandwiches, lots of cakes (we took some home), it is a first class cafe not just for afternoon tea. Booking is recommended but not mandatory. Well done Beaurepaire, we will be back soon!

Having seen an afternoon tea on a previous visit I was keen to go back and try it, so my husband and I went for Valentine's day. We splashed out on the Beaurepaire tea which is more expensive, but gives you a stand of savoury and a stand of cakes. How refreshing to see a different selection of sandwiches to the norm, such as beetroot and mini Yorkshire puddings filled with beef, soup and quiche. On the cake stand was scone, eton mess and a variety of cakes - there was so much we ended up bringing some home for supper. Great selection, great service. An enjoyable afternoon out.

Always choose this cafe if we haven’t got the dog with us and it’s like going to your grandma’s house back in the 60’s. Today was our first time visiting this beautiful cafe and we will definitely be returning - it was excellent in every way.I had been kindly bought a voucher for afternoon tea for 2 and took along my 2 children and husband to share this experience. The cafe itself is quaint, cosy and has lots of character. The service from the staff was excellent and the food was truly amazing. The owner bought the afternoon tea out himself, explaining what each item was before leaving us to enjoy it. The selection of cakes on the second part of the afternoon tea was unbelievable (around 8 cakes each!). The manager kindly offered to box up what we couldn’t eat for us to take home as there was so much.We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and are already planning another visit with other family members.

We visited as a party of 3 on a very busy Saturday. We had pre-booked which we would recommend as Beaurepaire is so popular. Our afternoon tea experience was fantastic. We have had afternoon tea in top hotels in London and the food here was far superior. A delicious selection of bite size sandwiches to start - with some delicious warm savouries and small glasses of soup topped with crostini. Cakes were delicious - the nicest brownies we have ever had with an assortment of other cakes and pastries , not forgetting scones with jam and cream. Chris the owner served the afternoon tea himself, taking time to explain what was on each stand. If you are planning a visit to Belper or Beaurepaire - the Beaurepaire afternoon tea is an experience you won't forget and will be talking about it to everybody. We visited Beaurepaire for a family get together for my husband’s 60th birthday. There were 8 adults and a baby of 4 months so we had booked Granny’s Parlour in advance. A lovely private room for 6-12 people decorated beautifully in a vintage style with a massive table so there’s plenty of room for everyone. I can’t praise the staff here highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure we all had a good time. Although we all ordered different items for lunch from the main menu, everyone’s food arrived quickly and together so no one was waiting - and of course it was all delicious! Jacket potatoes done properly not microwaved and loads of lovely freshly prepared salad. Sandwiches on tasty bloomer bread - not your average white sliced here. Everything first class and presented beautifully. The absolute piece de resistance however was the fabulous birthday cake that Beaurepaire had made for my husband. It was absolutely superb and exactly what I’d asked for - we were all amazed by the fantastic creation that was the centrepiece of our lovely table. And it tasted amazing too!

This was my 3rd visit for afternoon tea and did not disappoint. I went with 3 friends who had never been and one has described her visit as the' best afternoon tea ever'. Grand statement but it delivers on all fronts - from the welcome, the attentive staff and the personal touch from Chris to explain the savouries including a small glass of leek and potato soup, then after an appropriate time to describe the cakes. We came home with a doggie box of the cakes and am enjoying them now. There are 3 converts to the experience and all were delighted with the toilet facility - how to make what is often a forgotten place a place of interest. The afternoon tea here is absolutely amazing, the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect. I have been to quite a few afternoon tea places and Beaurepaire is definitely my favourite, I would recommend this to anybody wanting a delicious and relaxing experience.

Been here today for afternoon tea with friends for a birthday treat. Absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly and professional - couldn't do enough for us. Beautiful surroundings - very tastefully done. All the food was home made and delicious. Couldn't manage all the cakes but was given box to take home what we couldn't eat - nice touch. There wasn't anything I could fault about my visit. Was my first visit but definitely won't be my last.

Six of us booked for afternoon tea at this lovely little gem, on 5th Aug. The tea was reasonably priced & the food was made specifically by the chef/owner, who individualises the food each day. The tea/coffee is unlimited & there was plenty of food, in fact I've never struggled to eat all the food at an afternoon tea before-we all took a box of leftovers home with us. The staff were all very friendly & attentive & we were left to enjoy ourselves an hour after closing time. It was a lovely afternoon & I would definitely recommend it to anyone. We'll definitely return.

A lovely little tearoom, with a parlour style room upstairs, + a charming "boudoir" like room with a Loo on the next floor up. Beautifully presented food served by friendly people, and not too expensive. We usually have breakfast or brunch. Recommend the bacon sandwich, and the toasties which are served with a lovely dressed salad. They do a great range of cakes and fancies. This is a great treat and well worth a visit to Belper for. It is just on the Main Street (King st), and there are lots of nice shops, not just your standard high street ones.

FAbulous array of savouries and cakes, so different from so many other places. Sandwich combinations you wouldn't think of - Brie and piccalilli, beetroot and horseradish, Mozzarella and pesto. The scones, lemon drizzle, date and walnut cake and a first a croissant and butter pudding, chocolate brownie, salted caramel truffle, cafe macaron. Well worth a visit as the staff add to the experience with their smiles and pleasing manner. Try it!!

A real gem. Lovely, friendly service and the food is fabulous with some really unusual specials for a chip shop. Can highly recommend the salt and pepper squid.

After having several ‘tasting menu’ experiences at various local restaurants this was by far the worst! Bright lights, no atmosphere, filthy carpet, no table linen, paper napkins, chipped crockery, dirty glasses, bland food, no-one bothered to explain courses or ask if they were enjoyed, limited wine choice and, to top it all, we were charged for something we didn’t have! Would not recommend at all, try The lighthouse at Boylestone for a proper tasting menu experience!
