Great service, everywhere spotless! Great coffee. Always a great welcome, nothing too much trouble, what’s not to like!

Always really good quality food! Josh the supervisor is always very polite and helpful. A lovely place to sit and have breakfast.

Tasty honest food (the ham was delicious) relaxed atmosphere & exceptional service from Josh behind the bar. Great place to meet up with golfing and other chums.

Delightful bar overlooking the golf course. Great views. Was welcomed on arrival by the bar man. He was very helpful and polite and advised on food choices. Great selection of food choices at very reasonable prices. Service was prompt and easy. Food was delicious and cooked freshly. Lots of gluten free and vegan choices too. Atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant for talking with friends. Would definitely recommend this for place for brunch or lunch.

We have just had a lovely 1 night, 2 x golf at MH with friends. We have been a few times before and are happy to return as it has always been a lovely venue. Hotel, golf, food, staff can’t be faulted. However, after golf and before we were heading home we went to the Spike Bar and ordered food in our individual couples. Some time later one of our friends received his sandwich/chips. Then we had a long wait and my husband received his Panini/chips. After a long wait my friend and I asked where our food was as our husbands had both finished theirs. Unfortunately the staff serving us were not helpful or reassuring so we had to request a refund. Sadly this was extremely poor customer service, which we do not expect from Morley Hayes. Two ladies left to go home feeling hungry and disappointed.

The food was lovely as always and the bar staff taylor was fantastic! Smiling and very polite. he was talkative and morley hayes should be happy to have him!

This is great for lunch fantastic food and staff very welcoming can definitely recommend for breakfast or lunch never disappointing.

We were attending a family wedding and had a fantastic day. All of the staff were really friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality. Well done the Morley Hayes Team!

What a great treat…warm friendly atmosphere. If it had been a warmer day we could have sat outside looking over beautiful countryside. Lunch was super. Well cooked plentiful plates. And the lady serving us was fab…on her own but had a good system! Not so keen on the big tvs but then they aren’t my thing but if sport is then ideal. Will definitely return.

A great venue for an after cycle brunch with a group of friends celebrating a 70th Birthday 🥳. The Morley Breakfast is delicious.

Been to the spike bar a few times after rounds with the boys and it's fine but this review is more for the recurring location for the business club meetings. The function room is well laid out and easy on the eye, and the food is of an above-average standard, similar to the Dovecote's. However, the service is once again substandard, with bar staff barely able to demonstrate their min wage worth. You would honestly think they were prisoners with the way the behaved sometimes.

staff we miserable slow and lacked motivation. Half-hour to get a coffee no food service on the Tuesday just not a happy place to be and the person who looked in charge need to get a grip and look interested

Spike bar food not value for money and charging £5-20 a pint is extortion. Golf prices also gone up……..greed !!!! The courses are kept in excellent condition but staying after for food / drink spoils the day. Better value just to pop to the local pubs if you have the time.

Revised menu, cheap quality of food, smaller portions but prices increased. Rip off ! Used to be ok but now greed has taken over.

Excellent service throughout, the bar was very quiet and the service was second to non. We didn't want for the anything.

We visited The Spike recently - the first time that it had reopened for meals after 'lockdown'. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the Real Ale was 'off' and it took some time to get a decent pint pulled through. We were there as a party and there were about 20 drinking Real Ale! Amazingly, it was the first time that I had been in The Spike for 20 years and EXACTLY the same thing happened then! Overall though, it did not spoil the afternoon as the company was great and the 'Real Ale issue' was resolved.

Very handy as you come off either course. Beer a bit dear but it is Marriot. Great outside area which was used on the Monday prior to departing.

Nice bar lovely food & service is really pleasant.Chilled out atmosphere lovely views on a nice sunny afternoon over the golf course,look forward to visiting again sometime.

Had a great meal in the spike bar. Staff were on the ball and served us straight away. Food was good . Good atmosphere and nice place to have lunch inside or outside.

During out overnight Golf stay, when we arrived at around 11am we had a Great Paninni & Fries in the Spike Bar. The guys behind the Bar loooked smart and we're good fun, when the food arrived it looked really well presented and tasted even better, with generous Brie & Rocket filling. Great value too along with the Drinks. Just like the whole Resort....Very good.

Called in for a breakfast cob and coffee and unfortunately there was a lack of attention to detail. The coffee spilt over the side of the mug, the cob had no butter on it and there was a lack of filling, not up to its normal high standard on this visit.

Needing to eat after golf we decided to have a cooked breakfast instead of a sandwich. The food arrived very quickly and was excellent.

Has breakfast here the other day, could not wish for better, hot food, hot coffee, great wife, what more could you ask for.

Well cooked big breakfast with good ingredients washed down with a pot of tea. Service from staff was excellent.

Stayed at Hotel on golf break, 2 rounds of golf along with evening restaurant meal and full English breakfast the following morning. Excellent value with great facilities.

Brilliant bacon sandwiches on brown or white bread or bun. No problems with choices for brunch before a round of golf on the super 18 hole Manor course. Plenty of water hazards and course in great condition. Visited Spike Bar as part of weekend golf package, excellent value including two rounds of golf. Could not miss return to the bar for post match drinks.

Good TVs for golf. but room as a bit bare could be more golfy. Staff pleasant but again bar could be more pubby

Utiliza este bar las brumas de las noches de nuestra estancia en el hotel y que Hayes Morley era un lugar muy agradable para tomar una bebida relajante.

Probamos el nuevo menú en la última noche y tuvimos la lasaña vegetariana. Era muy sabrosa, pero la única cosa es que la ensalada era enorme y parece que no consigue comer mucho. Mi sugerencia sería reducir el tamaño de esta ensalada como odio ver residuos aún sería una buena relación calidad-precio. El servicio era excelente y amable.

Absolutely fabulous service arrived breathless and hungry so went to the spike bar for a bacon sandwich was offered choice of bread and even a cob found l was running late so asked if it could be done quick not only done quick but served...

Gran lugar! Un personal amable, buena comida, buen lugar en general todo el año, con vistas al primer tee, así que puedes reír a sus colegas de la sociedad civil y conseguir sol curtidas en su tiempo libre. Acogedor lugar grandes para el desayuno y bocados rápidos. Las chicas hay también fantástico y nunca mirar hacia abajo sus narices en que, independientemente de cómo se mire tras un rainsoaked. Genial genial genial!

Hemos estado viniendo a Spike Bar regularmente por más de un año para tener un bacon sandwich y café. Recientemente tuvimos un descanso de 6 semanas y después la pasada semana. Al pedir dos sándwiches de tocino el pan integral nos dijeron que (por la chica detrás del bar) que no sólo no tocino , sazonadas sándwiches. Nos pusieron pegas acepté. Vinimos aquí esta mañana y, de nuevo, la misma chica dijo que sólo , sazonadas de bacon, preguntamos si había dejado de servir sándwiches de tocino para que ella respondió "sí". Luego preguntamos por dos , sazonadas marrones de tocino y me dijeron que sólo blanco.

So this bar is really for the golfers amongst us although it's also great if you just want to sit and watch the golfers teeing off on the first tee. Simple and quickly prepared fare is the obvious choice here. Nothing fancy, just dive into a basic sandwich or simple bar food. All nicely presented and reasonably priced. Perfect for that quick snack.

The spike bar is always clean and has a lovely atmosphere, we went Sunday morning to find it very busy. The staff are really friendly and the breakfast was cooked beautifully and quickly. The balcony has lovely views over the golf course and surrounding woods. I would recommend spike bar

Got up too late for breakfast after an overnight stay so visited Spike Bar. The breakfast is lovely served outside on the balcony overlooking the golf course.Best bacon ever.

Great venue nothing to much trouble,food good, great 19th hole balcony seating over seeing 1st tee and 18th green.

(Last reviewed 14 February 2014) Stopped off at the Spike Bar for a breakfast bap, tasty and good portion of sausage/bacon filling and even on a winter's day the view's from the Spike Bar balcony across the golf course/countryside are excellent.

Me and my family went to the spike bar today for a light lunch of chip cobs. We have been on a Sunday for the last three weeks. It's lovely and the staff are always friendly and well presented. It's even better on a warm sunny day because you can sit and eat on the balcony looking over the beautiful course and countryside.

We had a super lunch in The Spike Bar. The food was excellent as was the service. The surroundings are lovely. We would recommend a meal here.

The Spike Bar is situated upstairs in the Golf Pavilion at Morley Hayes and is predominately used by golfer's using the pay as you play golf course. The bar offers a full menu with a range of hot/cold drinks, snacks, light meals and main meals in line with the other restaurants at Morley Hayes. There is terrace at the back of the pavilion giving panoramic views of the golf course and the surrounding countryside.There is ample car parking available on site.
