The best restaurants serving British food in East Midlands

Sadly, this place has gone downhill. The lady behind the counter tried overcharging us & was perplexed when we mentioned it to her. Chips are the only thing worthy of being rated as, in my opinion, nothing else is worth my money being spent on.

Excellent host, friendly staff and delicious drinks. But... Lets talk about the cauliflower. Oh. my. days. The cauliflower might just even be the best thing about the place! I want that recipeeeeee.

Fine - no frills, friendly and quick. The menu is burgers.... or burgers which is fine if you want a burger, (there are lots of options) and what you get is 10x better than what Five Guys sell and 50x better than McDonalds. I wish they did coffee tho.

We use the café regularly. The for is of good quality, well prepared and excellent value. You can call in, arrange collection or have your food delivered.

Loads of chips and kebab but poor product. Staff don't care, and 1 guy looks so pissed off he needs sacking,and why go off with my mushy peas to back room,I want see them being served!

This place is in a lovely setting. Unfortunately the service was hit and miss. I and others waited sometime at the bar to be served and seated. There were 3 people behind the bar who seemed to be doing anything else but serve or even greet customers. Some staff seem irritated and distracted. Cudos to one waitress who spotted an error with our order before we saw it! Food was OK.

Always amazing friendly staff great location awesome food as always you cannot beat the paddock Monday grill days ! Save £2 plus on grills the smothered steak was amazing first time I had it , jack cheese burger great too good drinks selection and very helpful staff always visit on way back from Derby

Was over charged £12.00. Ordered 2 children's Sunday roasts was charged for adult meals. Manager refunded no quibble, but no apology. Ordered turkey and pork, received turkey and beef. Was given a pepper pot with no pepper in it. Manager wasn't very helpful when asked where toilets were. On a plus side, the meal was very nice.

Amazing. Great value and great quality pizzas and sides. Please support these kind of businesses over hings like papa johns or Domino's

Mi familia (5 de nosotros) vino a almorzar hoy, ninguna de las comidas era tan caliente, chaqueta de patata estaba fría. Pedí que nos dieran una patata caliente, tomó más de quince minutos para conseguir esto. Se quejó al personal del bar se le dijo que reembolsaría, pero luego se negó a porque empezamos a comer la patata chaqueta nueva cuando llegó. Ni una disculpa. Atención al cliente impactante. Muy disgustado.

The food was terrible! Cold jacket potato with tiny portion of tuna! I paid for a mozzarella and toasted tomato baguette and got plain white slice bread with the thinest slice of mozzarella you could imagine! Won't be eating there again!

Sentado tomando café y un aperitivo, y estaba tan impresionado por el personal amable y su eficiencia. Estaba bastante ocupado pero todos estaban 'en él', sirviendo eficientemente, despejando y rehaciendo mesas vacías. Muchas veces se ve al personal de cafeterías y restaurantes pasar junto a una pila de ollas sucias en una mesa, nada de eso aquí. Volveré para una comida completa.

Tenía el pollo tikka - sabía bien, pero era como parte de un niño. No hay ningún comentario pan naan sirven hechos cuando pregunté dónde estaba- dijeron que se había acabado, así que tuve que pedir algo más!

Me reuní para almorzar aquí ayer, fue agradable, el encaje está lleno de carácter y cálido cuando entramos, se encendió el fuego, el whisby whe off parece estar en construcción, pero no se sintió como demasiado intrusivo en la búsqueda de café, solo tiene que salir más allá de las obras y en la tienda de ropa y más allá de la caja de la izquierda, pasamos el letrero dos veces jaja El almuerzo fue encantador, tuve el panini de atún y h bby tenía la sopa y el sarnie, pero encantador, lo único que puedo decir es que el pero de ensalada / guarnición en el lado estaba seco, tal vez un poco de amor por el verde y un poco de hidratación con un poco de aderezo en mi haría una diferencia Creo que la vista sobre el río es fabulosa y nos encanta sentarnos junto al agua en verano con nuestros nietos.

It's a Wetherspoons. It's the same as all the other ones, but a bit quieter than the other one in Derby (The Standing Order)
