The best restaurants in East Midlands

Suede is an independent bar and pizzeria I’ve been to countless times. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the chef in the kitchen always kills it! One of my favourite chill pizza spots in Nottingham for sure.

This is a wonderful restaurant. I have visited here a number of times, and the food and service are always fantastic. My husband and I both have food intolerances that make eating out tricky. Esquina allows us a choice of delicious gluten and dairy free food. The menu is updated regularly and never disappoints. Highly recommended 🤌

The food here is very nice freshly made fish & Chips and it's Halal. Decent size potions. Very nice and clean. Eating in and takeaway. They also sell burgers and chip shop stuff all Halal.

Food was amazing, beef done perfectly pink and you could have cut the pork with a spoon it so was so tender. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding were all great as well. Desserts we chose were the sticky toffee pudding which they allowed us to swap the ice cream for custard and the jam sponge with custard, both were amazing and piping hot. We had a drink each as well as myself having a coffee also which was a really nice cup of coffee. Staff were lovely and attentive despite it being busy. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of vegetables (1 bowl between the two of us) and the roast potatoes weren’t crispy, I also felt the room was quite dark. Total came to £81 with the 8% service charge, great value if you ask me.

We visited for Sunday lunch on 15th December. We have lived in the area for 16 years and not visited before. We found it difficult to find the entrance as we had arrived by uber but it’s round the back alongside the car park. I have a problem with bench seating but was offered a chair if necessary. However I managed. The young staff were amazing. So polite and friendly and knowledgeable. Not put off by the fact that we were dressed up in Christmas outfits!! The crab starter was amazing as was the lamb main course. We were with friends one of whom was able to taste a red wine before ordering and the origin was explained to her. A hidden gem.

Ordered as a takeaway. Had to check that I’d definitely ordered from the right place as it was exactly like pizza you’d get from a kebab shop. Definitely not an Italian restaurant standard. You’d spend the same getting fresh pizza from the Garage Bakehouse Pizza!

We had a great evening. The only thing I'd change is the seating. We all felt a little squashed in.

Had a lovely meal here at the weekend for my daughters birthday. We hadn't visited for a few years but the food and service is still as amazing as ever. Staff are very friendly too. Will be returning soon. Thank you!

Today was the 1st time I have ordered a take away and it arrived in excellent condition, well wrapped and hot. Delivered by polite driver. The prawn puree was the best I have tasted and the lamb korma was delicious. The lamb was so tender. I shall certainly be a frequent customer.

Awesome pub. Well worth a few drinks inside.

Sadly this restaurant has not kept up with the times.We have been customers of Chameli for years but now there are restaurants that are far better such as Gurker Oven in Spalding.Holbeach was absolutely amazing 25yrs ago but sadly things have changed and people are looking for other experiences concerning their nights out
