Kofiyah in Leicester

not hygienic at all. the girl there wiped the used plate in front of my eyes instead of washing it. and I kept asking her to change my utensils but kept bringing me dirty once. it is a joke

We ordered chicken shawarma, it was a fake shawarma.. technically it was just a chicken breast cut into small pieces with shawarma spices..

This place is amazing and the staff is lovely. Definitely recommend!

Better get down here smartish before they're arrested for providing super tasty food too cheaply. I was recommended to eat here but even at that my expectations were exceeded. But be careful not to bore your friends with how brilliant it is to eat here

Very tasty. We tried Lamb Kabsa rice, it was delicious and also felt like home cooked.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this tiny restaurant! The food was incredibly flavorful and we especially loved the shrimp with rice. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Arabic food!

I have tried many middle eastern restaurants in the UK. London, Manchester and other cities and this is my favorite. The meat is very tender and the naan bread is delicious! Highly recommend.

After my visit today with my family I must say the food is beyond exceptional. I literally have got no words to describe how good the food is! The best Kabsa rice, Maqluba rice, Mansaf! The portions are super big, 3 people can easily eat it. Also, if you're looking for anything near Nablus Kunafe then I must say you must come to Kofiya. The best Palestinian Kunafe and hospitality I had in Leicester. Very welcome and family friendly atmosphere and the food was at a reasonable price and super delicious with a unique flavour. Can't stop thinking of how good the food is, definitely coming again...

Unexpected discovery of a little gem, searching the apparent restaurant desert for a Saturday lunchtime eat before a film at the Phoenix. Delicious home-cooked midde-eastern food, simply served in simple very small cafe-type setting. Very friendly and accomodating service.

The place was welcoming even though we had 12 people come in (I'd suggest you call before you come if you have more than 6 people coming in your group). The food was great and the owner was very nice and offered to help with suggestions with the food and let us order separately as well. She was very accommodating. The portion sizes are big and the food was very nice as well. <3

Friendly clean wonderful food with a big smile and warm service

Lovely fresh and tasty lunch, shared starter, two mains and drinks for 2 adults and a toddler. Large portions so took some home with fresh bread for supper! Will definitely return, excellent and friendly service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The rolled vine leaves tasted like they just gave me ones out of a tin. The "fresh" made baklava tasted mass produced and were really dry and horrible. it was overpriced and the restaurant was dirty. I don't reccomend it

Cosy family business, generous portions, food is reasonably priced, made fresh and absolutely delicious. There's a wide range of authentic Middle Eastern dishes to choose from - most important don’t forget to leave space for desserts (we highly recommend kunafa) :D Staff are very friendly and offer outstanding customer service!

The food smells, tastes, and looks amazing. The flavours go really well together and you can taste it's homemade with a lot of care put into it. There's a variety of traditional dishes and desserts to choose from, and the prices are really affordable for the quantity of food you're getting. Definitely recommend and would come again!

This place is a hidden gem in leicester. It’s a family run restaurant, serving authentic palestinien cuisine. The hummus and the halloumi wrap was amazing. The potion size is good and food is tasty. They have a selection of deserts. I really enjoyed their Kunafeh. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely amazing halal food. Our first Palestinian dining experience and we will definitely be back again when we visit Leicester. The food was fresh and bursting with delicious flavours, meat tender and dishes well seasoned. Portions were generous and the starters and accompanying salads also superb. We would highly recommend this clean and welcoming establishment. Freshly prepared juices were also available. We were too full to try the traditional pastries but we look forward to trying these next time. Very reasonably priced. Thanks for a great experience -especially child friendly as well!

I haven't found such a nice place in a long time. Yes, it is "modest"... don't expect the Ritz. But for middle eastern food, served with a warm smile, you'll find it hard to beat. And great prices!

My family and I came to kofiyah on Eid day and had the most amazing experience, they had excellent food, the customer service was amazing. Would definitely recommend!

My brothers friend works herw so i thiught night give it a try. (I was also craving some shawarma.) And damn right this place deserves a chefs kiss. Perfect juicy tender chicken and has a more authentic taste. 100% reccommend to go eat when really hungry! Rating 20/10

A superb family café serving authentic middle eastern food. I had Shawarma (Platter) with rice and zero alcohol beer. The meal came with Tahini, garlic dip, flatbread, chilli sauce and extra chillies. It was a generous portion and really satisfying. A lovely hearty meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. The beer was pomegranate flavour and a nice surprise, really refreshing on a warm evening. I would definitely recommend this café. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

I was looking for somewhere for a quick lunch before the theatre and found this little place. The owner was really nice and brought me some homemade sauces with my meal. I had the chicken shawarma and it was really tasty 😊

Excellent service and food from a local gem. Traditional middle eastern cuisine in the heart of Leicester. Directly opposite the Ramada Encore on Charles St. Very hospitable with a traditional feel to the decor too. Family run and accept card or cash. Fresh food prepared. We ordered Shawarma, Falafel, Kibbah, Ejjeh (omelette) and Kunafa and Qahwa. All was delicious and fresh with authentic flavours. The juices we ordered were very refreshing especially the mint and citrus one. Definitely will become one of my local spots when in Leicester city centre.

I ordered a lamb sheesh kebab with rice, which was served with a gorgeous tomato sauce and pickles. The lamb was soft and seasoned nicely. I think I got very value for a tasty meal, I would like to go there again and try other things. The service is attentive with a personal touch. The staff are warm and friendly. It is nice to try traditional food like this.

The most delicious food that we've had. Authentic flavours and very reasonably priced. The restaurant is very welcoming and the owners make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. We ordered what the owner recommended and definitely weren't disappointed. We will definitely be back when we're next in Leicester.

It is a very nice food , very tasty , we ordered mansaf , Msakhan and shawarma rap. All were tasty and very delicious. Owner and his family are very nice people, always smiling and very welcoming. I strongly recommend to go there and definitely you will like it. Don't forget to order konafa. Unfortunately, we didn't take photo to upload .

Popped in for a "light lunch" this afternoon we have been wanting to try this place out since opening. We'll worth the wait, warm and welcoming staff taken though the menu off the menu items offered. Amazingwe will be returning mashaallah!!

Visited this restaurant for a lunch and breakfast the following day. The husband and wife that served me were extremely polite and helpful. The food was noticeably fresh and a great value for money. The dishes also have a very authentic and traditional vibe. Will definitely visit again.

Just popped in on the way to a gig for a quick bite. Ended up sitting down with a pot of mint tea and really tasty falafels wraps. The owners were very warm and hospitable and told us about the Egyptian singer performing with an orchestra on tv, and even gave us each a little sweet treat on the house to taste. Good quality food in simple surroundings but with a lovely atmosphere and friendly hosts. Recommend and will return.
