Great location, amazing food.
Me and my best mate had an overnight stay, 3 course meal and breakfast in the morning.
Great location for exploring the area for walks, villages and Alton Towers. We checked in and we had a room facing a field of sheep at the front which was lovely. Our room was cosy and had a highland cow theme, bed was really comfy. The usual tea and coffee making facilities, ensuite bathroom, TV.
We had a tree course meal in the evening each and each dish was full of flavour. The atmosphere for a Friday evening was busy but calm, really nice vibe. The warm white lighting and the decor with the painted map of the area on the wall added to the feel.
The staff were friendly and attentive. Our breakfast the next morning was spot on. We both went for the full English, tea and orange juice.
We both had Pad Thai and can honestly say it was the worst Pad Thai we had ever eaten, and we have eaten at numerous Thai restaurants, certainly won't be going back
Sophia is an excellent restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you have a great dining experience.
The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish is made with care, and the quality is outstanding. The portions are just right, and everything tastes authentic and delicious.
Whether you’re visiting for a casual meal or a special occasion, Sophia never disappoints. The combination of great service and amazing food makes it a perfect place to enjoy Italian cuisine. Highly recommended!
My friend and I enjoyed a lovely meal at Zamani's. My friend had a gluten-free meal, and I had a vegan meal. Service was friendly and discreet. We ate early on a Friday. It was quiet when we arrived but soon filled up, so it's probably best to book a table in advance. I'd certainly go again if I'm ever in Ashby-de-la- Zouche again.
We were a party of 4, never been there before but we give a go as a friend said it was really good.
Service was good, food is very nice, big portion. The drinks menu has a lot to offer. We ordered daiquiris, strawberry, and mango flavour. They were delicious, then we decided to order 2 more, this time both strawberry, but they weren't the same, not cold enough, very watery and it didn't taste like it has any alcohol, only can taste a sirup.
Great food. A lot of varied options from pizza to fish. Portion sizes were decent too. Would recommend. It's a more expensive type of pub experience but the food reflects that so definitely worth it.
I recently visited OGGI Italian Restaurant, and while the food had a tiny hiccup (nothing major!), the amazing service I received totally made up for it. Our waitress, Anu, was absolutely brilliant! And the team was fantastic.
From the moment we sat down, Anu was super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The team were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and all seemed like they wanted to help, something you rarely see in other establishments.
Really nice cafe, but I paid 12.50 for a mediterranean Breakfast, which was half a plate. They had also spread out the food across the plate to make it seem like it was a plate full of food. 1/3 were a dry salad. Won't be going back, but I see some other customers were fortunate enough to get a fair share for their pay. It's like playing russian roulette, Good luck.
