Ecton One in Northampton

Had a table booked for 12 people. Was expecting more of a restaurant setting but there was football on TV in the background followed by an episode of Dr Who. It was also quite noisy and reminded me more of an old school canteen than a restaurant We placed our orders and waited ages then the problems started. We waited over an hour and a half before any My starter of onion bhajis came out which were the best part of the meal. Also to come out was one and a half of two peoples main course of chicken nuggets and chips and cheesy chips minus crispy chicken. We thought nothing of this initially as we though they might just bring everything out together. We waited another half an hour before we started to complain. Two people from our party had to leave and had been served nothing. About 10 minutes later we issued an ultimatum that if we were served no more food then we all would be leaving. Food started to turn up but nobody was impressed by what was served. The chicken tikka masala had a soupy consistency, my chicken jalfrezi had no peppers in it and the chicken looked and tasted more like paneer. Someone else ordered butter chicken which was a bit spicy. The lamb biriyani looked horrific. We did complain numerous times about lack of service and the state of the food. Numerous items were taken off and a discount given. We were given an excuse that there were takeaway orders, what about the people sat right in front of you? Another excuse given is that some of the kitchen staff had left in the previous week. I was glad to get out of there. Will not be returning

Came in with a party of 7. Food was very below par, my Jalfrezi was definitely not a jalfrezi. Service was terrible and multiple items from the menu had been forgotten- would have helped if the lady taking the orders listened to what people were saying. When a forgotten item was finally delivered to the table it was almost thrown down in distain. Definitely do not recommend.

Over priced and terrible quality food dont waste your money! Better when it was ecton tandoori.

Used to order from imran but was told by family about Fushion at Bipinbrooke ordered and was a fantastic curry so flavoursome this is going to be my new go to curry house and will eat in next time as the people there are so friendly

Just Eat delivery and my first take-away from Ecton One. Very impressed by the quality, quantity and taste of the food. Stuck with a Chicken Tikka Massala, Saag Aloo, Peshwari Naan and meta samosa’s. All were fantastic, hot and tasty. Rounded off with the complimentary popadoms, onions, salad and sauce. Will definitely be trying something else on the menu and maybe pop in next time. Thank you 🙏

We went for a friends birthday and were blown away by the food. The £10 Wednesday and Thursday meal deal is fantastic! The food is outstanding. It is a community centre and bar so not a posh restaurant, and we loved it. Will definitely go again. Beer was also reduced in price that night. Thank you.

I drank there 30 yrs ago Wen was the Ecton Brook.... I went there Friday 4 my mate Peters 65th... was very impressed with the place..clean and well looked after..very upmarket from the old days.friendly staff and punters.... I will b back. Also 4 the takeout I haven't had yet...Ecton one gets my vote. Also Stella on tap.... wins me round

I was told to judge this place on what I ate and not what I saw and they were right. First impressions of the building is a social club with some dining tables in. There's a pool table and a DJ/singer which is as random as it comes. However, the food is fantastic and great value. I'd have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the DJ/singer playing awful music far too loud most of the time.

Very well decorated, excellent bar, plenty of room, also an area for a DJ or Band. Great place to hire for party or wedding, or another function. Seating outside also.

This is supposed to be a public house, but in truth, it's never open, when it's supposed to be. The opening times on the website are completely wrong, this has been pointed out to the management, but still not rectified. On arrival Friday afternoon,at the advertised opening time of 3pm,it was closed and on contacting the management, me and my friend were told that the opening time was actually 5pm, and to simply ignore the website. This is unacceptable,we walked over 2 miles to reach the venue, only to be told that we would have to wait!!!!!!!

Never open when it says its gunna open on its own website.. Walked a mile there on Friday at 3clock cuz its website said that's what time it opens but didn't open till 5..dont bother calling the fone number cuz its goes straight to tesco answer machine absolutely useless information

Followed all gov guidelines, the staff were extremely welcoming and the service was great, would definitely visit again.

This pub was recommended to me following it's complete revamp. On first impression its very big, spacious, it has a seperate function room for parties and the food menu has plenty to choose from. The ìndian food is the best there is in Northampton, this is an indian owned pub that makes proper indian food, not like the typical indian restuarants in Northampton.

What a lovely room upstairs with a decked outside terrace. Never been there before but would highly recommend for a party/wedding..x

We used Bipin Brook Restaurant and Takeaway for the first time yesterday and were very very impressed, we had an order for 13 people which they dealt with brilliantly, the food was delicious and ready to be collected at the time estimated. We will definitely be using them again. Definitely deserves 5*
