My husband and I took my mother in law here for lunch. We were greeted by a young guy who was very friendly throughout our lunch. The food was very tasty indeed and presented very well. If we lived here we would eat here alot more often. The young lady who looked after us did a great job with my husbands food especially that he has alot of dietary requirements. THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to making lunch a great event.

Loved the layout of the restaurant, it is very intimate.. The service was great... Extremely attentive and polite. The food was delicious, I intend to go back and try some other specials on the menu.

We recently visited for my Daughters birthday and once again they didn’t disappoint with great food, atmosphere and value. We had a lovely evening and would highly recommend to anyone who loves good Italian food.

We walked away forgetting we were in Northampton town center I'd like to give Nuovo 6 stars Plenty of veggie options (if you don't mind non veggie cheese). Veggie stuff is clearly marked though. The service is always really good.

1st visit and probably not the last! The food was delicious. 3 dishes each & bread was more than enough. So much choice so I need to go back! The staff were great. It’s not cheap but for the quality I’d say it was reasonably priced. I would much rather visit an independent restaurant than a chain. We need more places like this.

As someone with a cheese intolerance dining out nowadays can be a bit difficult, especially in Italian restaurants, but Nuovo were so understanding and patient with me. There was a large party of us and we had a set menu, they came to me everytime they brought a dish out informing me what I could and couldn't eat, the meals that were mainly cheese based they substituted the dish for something I could have. One of those was a mushroom risotto, admittedly I hate Mushrooms but as this was a substitute I decided to just deal with it, but it was absolutely delicious and I'm now a converted woman! Thank you the wonderful chefs it was delicious and to all the waiting on staff for all your help! I will be returning!

Booked in advance a small deposit taken and then off the bill so people don’t cancel ahead. Never visited before parking nearby which is free after 19:00 and disabled access outside the premises. The walking into the restaurant there isn’t a waiting area and the bar was quite busy The food was amazing very well priced as they are small dishes which allows you to try lots of different dishes. A great experience would visit again

Nicest restaurant in Northampton. Such good vibes. Absolutely divine food. Not too expensive. Lovely hosts. Would happily come every day if I was rich. ONLY downside... They don't have traditional coffee tiramisu which I think they should add and then it would be the best restaurant of all time. Had an orange tiramisu instead which was nice but not the same.

The wife and I love this restaurant, easily the best place to eat in Northampton town. It's way too good for Northampton.

Such a hidden gem in Northampton. ♥️ I love the concept of many small dishes, like an Italian version of the Spanish tapas. The food was authentic, delicious and just a delight for your palette. The service was equally good, waiters very attentive and knowledgeable when queried. I noticed the owner was mooching in the restaurant and I can only say that it works. If you haven’t been try them out. Overall a great evening. I be back.

I had an amazing meal with friends last weekend celebrating a friend's birthday. The cocktails were delicious and unusual, the food was exceptional and the service was fantastic! You really do feel a world away from Northampton when you're in there...like you're on holiday in some fine dining restaurant. My friend also got an ice cream scoop with a candle which I thought was a lovely touch! Well done Nouvo 🤩

The team couldn’t have done more for us. Wonderful food (perfectly balanced menu) and great wine. The whole team of 7 very-much enjoyed, which is not something I can often say.. (fussy lot). Will be back soon. ❤️👌🏻

If you are a foodie and you are looking for genuine Italian food, this is the place for you! All the best ingredients and amazing service. Their staff work really hard, don't forget to tip them, they deserve it 👏 ❤️

Highly recommend this place if you want to have a good experience. You can not reserve a table outside but if you book a table and you find a space outside you are more rhan welcome to take the table. The staff will recommend 3 dishes but I think 2 are enough. The staf was amazing. Will definitely consider it every time I want to have dinner outside. We paid abou 140£ for 4 dishes 4 drinks and 2 deserts.

Wonderful choice of food and drink impressing guest at my birthday treat, enhanced by attentive staff. The place was buzzing on my visit last evening with three large groups....but the staff managed admirably. So many happy young people and that includes the staff and owner Stewart. Nuovo deserves all the accolades it receives.....food and drink remain a wide choice to suit all tastes. God bless

Middle of the road for me, food wasn’t really amazing. It felt a bit weak in flavour profile for the pricing. The folded flat breads were like 2am university students creation.. well go for other dishes next time. Could do with patio heaters if guests are outside. The garden is really nice, just needs a bit of heating. Service was great.

Five of us visited here on a Friday evening to celebrate as birthday, so a round table was perfect. The place was buzzing & busy & booking seems wise. Varied & delicious menu. Tapas style - three dishes each was just perfect, but none of us were ‘big eaters’. The sea bass was delicious. Good service & atmosphere. In the evening there’s free parking right outside at the top of Abington St. Would certainly recommend & will visit again.

Tremendous. Went to Nuovo for first time with niece, it exceeded my expectations. The tapas/cicchetti menu is unique and quality was first class. The desserts were a highlight - Chocolate Orange Tiramsdu amazing. The staff were efficient and had great knowledge about the menu. Additionally it has a warm welcoming atmosphere.

The second visit for my birthday.. even better than than last time! Hidden gem off the high street, nuovo never disappoints! Spicy margaritas, great service, and the food was incredible! Thank you to the team for making my birthday so special x

This was my 2nd visit to this wonderful restaurant. My friend & I dined on a Friday night having pre-booked a table in advance via their website. The restaurant is centrally located in Northampton and has lovely interior décor. The staff are all super friendly, professional & attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes and every single one of them was delicious. The seafood items in particular were our favourites. This is my favourite restaurant in Northampton and I shall be returning next time I am in the area.

The food we've ordered was not good. The worst carbonara in my life, with burnt bacon and planty of black paper - so it was grey colour almost, and I haven't noticed any parmesan. My friend ordered pasta with see food - so squids were unpeeled. We didn't eat even a half, we were very disappointed. Although shrimps were good, probably because it's hard to mess them up.

Had a great time on a date. We went back & chatted until the early hours. Got pied the next day, can't say I'll be going back with her to Nuovo but I'll be back...

Their focaccia was superb! Being Italian, I would know 😉 ...not impressed with the pizza which was a NO for me. The arancine were tasty, the atmosphere and service lovely! I will definitely go back ....

Great first time at this restaurant- looking forward to going again. Great owner/management team.

Well, what a great if a little surprising dinner. Why? Well basically it is a tapas restaurant but Italian and not Spanish hence that surprise. The 4 of us went with 3 dishes each, there being a real mix of fish, meat and vegetable dishes with every one drawing very positive comments. A decent bottle (well, 2) of a decent Puglian red wine was also excellent and added to the overall enjoyment we had. The restaurant itself has a pleasant ambiance and the staff were very friendly and very willing to answer any question we pose. Though my wife and I do not live in Northampton, her brother and his wife do and, boy, do I hope we go there again.

Charlie the manager is a true professional with a remarkable way of making sure your experience is warm and delightful. The lemonchello is home made by him and truly not to be missed. All of the Tapas dishes are cooked to order and taste fresh and you couldn't find better in any overseas Mediterranean restaurant. Charlie is supported by a friendly team especially Neesa whose delivery if the specials dishes was a delight to behold. Truly this establishment is a little gem and a delight to visit

A lovely restaurant, friendly staff and an interesting menu, complemented by the wine list. The interior is divided into two areas, the main floor and a raised area at the end for a further half dozen tables or so. The interior is subdued, with soft ambient lighting, and drapes suspended from the ceiling roof trusses, which are part of the original building. Conversation is made so much easier for those of us who are hard of hearing, because sound is easily absorbed by the interior fittings. A lovely night out and definitely a restaurant to return to!

Excellent restaurant serving Tapas style small plates of Italian food. Friendly service and a chilled out atmosphere.

I struggle to see the value in the pricing of the food they offer. Admittedly, they do clarify that it's a Tapas style, suggesting three items per person (though I found two per person to be sufficient). As for the food itself, the pizza resembled more of a crispy cracker with cheese than the traditional pizza I've encountered in my travels across six countries. Its crust was excessively crisp, reminiscent of leaving a pizza in the oven for too long. In terms of service, it was adequate, but the staff seemed somewhat inattentive. When my partner inquired about non-caffeinated hot drinks, they recommended a fruit tea, which was enjoyable. However, they neglected to mention that the Chocolate Bonet dessert we ordered contained a comparable amount of caffeine to a small cup of coffee. Regarding the ambiance, it stands out as one of the finer dining establishments in Northampton, making it a suitable choice for date nights.

Lovely restaurant with great choice of foods but dishes are on the very small side so you are encouraged to buy more. Most are delicious but the chicken and lemon was like a soup dish but other than that worth a visit.

This is a lovely restaurant where we had great food, everyone enjoyed their courses, the service was spot on and would definitely return.

This Resturant is exquisite, what they serve goes beyond just being called food. The place is Spartacus, the Stradivarius of any Resturant I've been to, Ottolyngi has nothing on this experience.

My friend and I dined here on a Friday night having pre-booked a table in advance via their website. We arrived slightly early but the staff were fantastic and found us a table very promptly. The service throughout was fantastic from every staff member we encountered. The restaurant itself is centrally located in Northampton and easy to find. The décor and atmosphere inside is very nice. They recommend ordering 3 items each but we wanted to try so many things we ended up getting 4 each. Every dish we tried was delicious. The slow cooked beef in particular was exceptional. We got some dessert afterwards too - the tiramisu was lovely. Overall, this is one of the best Italian meals we have had in the UK and is definitely our favourite restaurant in Northampton. We cannot wait to return!

My husband and I came here years ago now and remembered it to be good. I wanted to book somewhere for us to go as our last valentine's day as a couple before we welcome our baby to the world. I wouldn't usually go for a set menu option but the choice was good and I knew we'd find something we both wanted on it. I actually thought the value for money was great as the food was very very good! We love this style of eating and considering the restaurant was very busy all the staff were so chilled and it made for the perfect "last meal" as it were so thank you for a lovely lasting memory. We ate here on the recommendation of friends, we were not disappointed. The food was imaginative, beautifully cooked & delicious. The service was top notch, polite, friendly & efficient without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is elegant without being stuffy. All in all well worth a visit.

Two couples enjoyed a fantastic dinner for my birthday treat last November. Nuovo is a lovely Venetian restaurant serving a huge range of tapas style dishes. We each chose our particular favorite dishes and then chose other dishes to share, the dishes are deceptively filling so we found we had more than enough to eat with our choices. A lovely evening was enjoyed by all, definitely recommended.

This was my 3rd visit to Nuovo and had rated it as one of my favourite places to eat. Sadly i felt a bit disappointed this time. Our first dish we had to return as it was cold. The chicken dish wasn't very hot either but tasted good. I felt that the plates had less on them than before. The staff were lovely as usual but felt they were less knowledgeable of the menu than I had previously encountered. I'm hoping it was just a blip in its usual standards

The food was really good but not too keen on the derserts, will definitely go back.

Went for my birthday and was so lovely. Waitresses explained well the menu and how many dishes to order each. I enjoyed every dish but the pasta dishes, they weren’t any special compared to the rest of the menu. But would 100% visit again.

Very nice place to go for italian tapas. Service is really good, our servers were very friendly. The burrata and dark chocolate torte is very nice. Think it's a good way to try a few different items.

Been going to Nuovo for a few years now. The staff are polite, helpful and always a warm welcome. The food has been fantastic from the first meal to my last always consistent, cooks are friendly and food isn't a bad price. I can always expect a great experience and will encourage anyone to go.

My colleague and myself went on Wednesday night 13th December 2023. The owner was there he was very chatty and had a good laugh with him. We were over from cork in Ireland , the food was excellent and service was better. Lovely warm inviting restaurant. Thank you for a great meal and top class service

The best about the place is the draught beer. If you are seeking Italian food, avoid by all means Calamari was undercooked Gambaroni was underwhelming and the prawns are obviously cooked in advance Pizza is poor; the base is more like a biscuit.. tesco pizza is much better The chicken tasted like rubber and it was too chewy Believe me you are better with scrambled egg at home!! The price was ok

A lovely place to visit and tucked away from the rush and bustle of the town centre. Good food and friendly attentive staff with Italian dishes served tapas style. Not sure about the 70’s disco soundtrack and I suspect the owner has a rather idiosyncratic musical taste!

Lovely restaurant, not been before. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious we picked six different small sized tapas dishes which were plenty. This place is well worth a visit if you love Italian food.

Visited last night with my wife. Nuovo is a beautifully lit intimate restaurant with great food. However, the young friendly attentive waiters and waitresses made our night. Our first but not our last visit.

Am-az-ing…. I have lived in Northampton for over 20 years and never knew this place was here. Literally everything was on point, the ambiance, the food, the wine, the service. Will return 100% Only (very slight) criticism is that the toilets don’t match up to front of house - maybe hand cream, premium hand wash and flowers would finish it off nicely. Other than that - utterly brilliant

Whilst visiting family & friends on our trip from New Zealand we found this the very best place to eat..

I have been 4 times this year and Nuovo disappoints. We order different dishes every time and the quality is always incredible. I also LOVE the Roccomora wine. The service and ambiance is always exceptional. It feels like you aren't even in Northampton. Thank you for always making our experience so special.

Lot of variety. Food was really tasty. Concept is great. Small Italian tapas, which means you can have more of your favourite Italian plates. Great selection of drinks. Staff are extremely friendly and really look after you. Will come back here again.

Our first visit to this hidden gem and absolutely loved it. Warmly welcomed on arrival and seated where we chose. Staff were knowledgeable and explained the menu very well. The food was superb and I wished I'd had room for more and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a good dining experience. I hadn’t realised this was Italian in tapas style but we really enjoyed our choices of lamb, roasted cauliflower, and courgette fries. My friend is local so I plan to come back!

The food is like tapas but Italian, so lots of small dishes. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and 2 pizza dishes. The pizzas were underwhelming with few toppings and a below average base. The service was very attentive and efficient, however we found it robotic at times, especially when seating us and explaining the specials of the day.

We booked for Monday as expected it to be quiet, there was a lovely buzzy atmosphere which was so nice to see. As always we had a fabulous meal with great service. We had a good selection of dishes, all were delicious, the Tuna from the specials was exquisite! By far my favourite restaurant in Northampton!

Fantastic. We had plenty of choice, there were a lot of vegan options available. The pasta was excellent. Service was perfect. Good atmosphere, it was busy on a Thursday evening. Booking is a good idea. We parked at the st Michael's carpark nearby which was only a short walk.
