The best restaurants serving British food in England

Another great evening. Guy Owen and the St Enodoc team returned to St Austell college and spent the day with the students culminating in another stunning dinner. The food was fabulous, I wish I had photographic evidence but I devoured it without thought of reviews. This years students are fairly early in their 2nd year. Dare I say I think the front of house were more accomplished than last years students at this stage? I can't fault them in any way. The commitment to come in to college for 9 am and leave at 9pm, some with 90 minute journeys to and from home isn't lost on us. The future of Cornish restaurants is in good hands with this team. We love coming here to eat. Thank you!

So glad to have had Café Bonbon recommended to me by word of mouth. What an excellently-run café! David is a friendly and accommodating proprietor, nothing seems too much trouble and he takes time to genuinely engage with customers. Placing an order a day in advance went smoothly. David was helpful and efficient in responding to both phone and email enquiries and his communication was excellent, which is always a godsend, especially these days. The sandwiches are fresh, tasty and made with care. Superb choice of fillings and dressings! The cakes are also delicious, fresh and interesting. All in all, good value for money. A wholly positive experience, and one that you only get when someone loves what they do. Looking forward to returning in the future! Thank you David and David.

Fabulous breakfast, fairly priced and dog friendly. Lady who runs it was lovely and was great with our dog, giving her a couple of treats.

Birthday treat, had fantastic night. Food was delicious beyond anything I'd imagined. Staff faultless and friendly.

Lovely experience here today for meeting a colleague- amazing staff who really want to help. Beautiful home made cakes particularly the Lindor brownie I had - truly delicious. Can see why it’s the No 1 rated place in North Petherton. A gem of a place to find 😀

Is the same food as the old Feel Good café and very fresh and tasty. Amazing vegan gem in Chingford. Enjoy the burgers full with salad or have a coffee and cake. The stews are very healthy and nutritious. Also maze in smoothies And lots of other dishes. Decor and ambience is splendid for a quiet moment.

The bistro was shut for a while, now they are back and it is worth coming to pay a visit.

Me detuve en lo que, por fuera, parecía una buena cafetería con buenas críticas de los asesores de viaje y pidió un café para llevar para mí y mi esposa. ¡Probablemente el peor café que he bebido! Los frijoles sabían a quemado, tenía que tirarlo a 100 m de la tienda. Mi esposa pidió una leche no láctea en la suya. Salió frío y el barista usó una máquina que estaba llena de leche láctea.

Amazing! Fantastic coffee (try the Spanish latte it's delicious), great music and wonderful service (Ata is professional, obliging and really knows his coffee). Altogether lovely coffee drinking experience - highly recommended!

Acogedor café en un antiguo vagón de ferrocarril en un hermoso paseo. Llevó a nuestro nieto en un paseo en bicicleta, la detuvo por una salchicha para él y tocino para nosotros. ¡Qué rico! Estaba fangoso pero no era un problema, está preparado para caminantes. El baño es una visita obligada, ya que hay ruidos de trenes y anuncios de plataformas en el interior. Preciosa vista del hipódromo también. Un montón de mesas exteriores para cuando hace buen tiempo. Perritos bienvenidos.

We have eaten here for Sunday roast and enjoyed a recent 'round the world' evening (Caribbean). The staff are wonderful ... really welcoming and attentive throughout. The food ..... omg!! You can smell how wonderful it's going to be, as soon as you park your car ... It is absolutely delicious 😋... the roasts are gorgeous, loads of tender meat/choice and beautifully cooked veg.. with a huge yorkshire pud ... that I wish I could master, but why bother when you can come to the L&R!! 🤔😁 The themed nights are tapas style with loads of meat/veg/hot/cold options and believe me.... each dish just absolutely melts in your mouth, and all are all so full of flavour and perfect balance of herbs/spices.... just simply delicious. Before each time we've been, we said to each other... 'we're not having desert' ... then seeing what comes out of the kitchen.. that statement went out the window!! Once you've finished, you can also then take home a selection of goodies ... pastries/pies/cakes etc from the fabulous deli counter... and I challenge you not to eat them before you get home ... or eat them as soon as you do get home ... as they smell, look, and taste so delicious. There's a fabulous choice of beers and lovely wines. Please visit, you will not be disappointed. Thank you L&R... keep up the good work and delicious food... and as Annie said .... we'll be back!! Took my mum today for afternoon tea as part of her 80th birthday celebrations. Wow! Karen made us both feel special and valued from the minute we walked in. Great conversation and beautiful food in unique surroundings. Everything was tasty and fresh. We couldn't eat everything so our leftovers were packaged up to take home. Thank you so much for a great experience 🥰
