Royal Fish Bar in Sheffield

Hello, My mum and I visited just as we were driving by yesterday, and what a find! Absolutely OUTSTANDING fish, crispy cod battered to perfection and a HUGE portion, a massive portion of golden chips with no after taste and the best chip shop curry I’ve had! Service was wonderful, quick, polite and friendly, the owner is very nice. We aren’t local but I would drive 35 miles to go back for fish and chips again. Please visit, they have lots of lunch time specials that are very reasonable and you won’t go elsewhere. 🙏🏼😊🙏🏼

This food was very poor quality! The fish was the best component but soggy at the bottom and tasted far from fresh. The sausage was rubbery in texture and lacked any flavour. The chips were soggy and sour as well as being an extremely tiny portion for a supposed large, 1/4 of a medium sized box was empty. We were overall very disappointed with our order and would not return.

Lovely place, being vegan you can't always get a lot of stuff at a chipper, but they do a quite a few vegan options at great prices. Plus if you have a dog they'll give them a sausage. Lovely place.

Amazing fish and chips. Perfect batter, flakey fresh fish, crispy chips, tasty mushy pies… and excellent world class service from the team here. If you haven’t tried these, you NEED to!! 17/10/23 Ordered 5x meals for the family.. service was super fast and friendly as usual. Fish & Chips were fresh as ever. Curry sauce and gravy were divine!!! I have to say, I’m addicted to this place 😍

First time using the Royal fish bar, Booked collection online 2 large fish and chips, friendly staff on collection and was packed freshly on arrival. Lovely batter on the fish and extremely tasty. Totally stuffed now. Nice to have a great chippy nearby again.

Great vegan menu, but the pie was a bit undercooked. And the chips were rather pale for my liking too.

Pleasant service. High quality fish enormous portion s . We had two enormous cod , one lot of chips ( enough for four ) and a carton of curry for £19.00 .

Really poor quality food. The sausage is probably the worst I have ever tried. Its like eating burnt bread with a tiny bit of meat inside, felt like there was no meat in it at all. The cod fish is plain, with no flavour and looked old. The donner meat was the only decent thing I ordered. Worst meal I have had in a long time.

Fish and Chips with curry sauce. The food itself is delicious. Fish is tender and flaky; the way fish should be. The batter is nice and crisp with just the right flavor. I will definitely come back to taste other choice selection of menu.

Food was of a good standard and the spring roll in particular was delicious. Nice variety of sundries. Didn't have the chips tho so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and polite. I'd happily go again.
