Excellent fish and chips. Large Chips is more than enough for 2 people and a great price. Staff were very friendly, offered excellent service and, despite a large queue at 7pm on a Friday, everyone was served with enthusiasm and out the door in good time. Highly recommend

When this place first opened a few years ago I gave it a try and didn't like it but was passing by today and thought to give it another try and after trying again I feel like it's a big improvement in quality and quantity of the food and I enjoyed it great stuff

I had a large fish which was actually quiet thin compared with a previous visit. I asked for it open but the lady serving had boxed and wrapped it. I was eating it in my car and it's a good job I carry a fork as she hadn't put one in the box and non on the counter.

Absolutely delicious fish and chips, and excellent vegan/vegetarian options. Fish cooked to perfection, light and crisp batter. Chips were excellent quality to boot, couldn't ask for more. Very accommodating with veggie food - tried the vegan steak and onion pie and the veggie burger too, both of which were fab. Lovely staff, too. Our new regular - thanks folks!

Who thought a fish bar could be so GLAM! I had the fishcake butty! So good! The wife had a chip butty and loved it, the chips are cooked in veg oil so her vegan needs were met perfectly! Perfection is a chippy in Heely!

Hello, My mum and I visited just as we were driving by yesterday, and what a find! Absolutely OUTSTANDING fish, crispy cod battered to perfection and a HUGE portion, a massive portion of golden chips with no after taste and the best chip shop curry I’ve had! Service was wonderful, quick, polite and friendly, the owner is very nice. We aren’t local but I would drive 35 miles to go back for fish and chips again. Please visit, they have lots of lunch time specials that are very reasonable and you won’t go elsewhere. 🙏🏼😊🙏🏼

Very nice food all made fresh! and owner is sooooo bloody lovely made us all feel so welcome.

This food was very poor quality! The fish was the best component but soggy at the bottom and tasted far from fresh. The sausage was rubbery in texture and lacked any flavour. The chips were soggy and sour as well as being an extremely tiny portion for a supposed large, 1/4 of a medium sized box was empty. We were overall very disappointed with our order and would not return.

Lovely place, being vegan you can't always get a lot of stuff at a chipper, but they do a quite a few vegan options at great prices. Plus if you have a dog they'll give them a sausage. Lovely place.

First time using the Royal fish bar, Booked collection online 2 large fish and chips, friendly staff on collection and was packed freshly on arrival. Lovely batter on the fish and extremely tasty. Totally stuffed now. Nice to have a great chippy nearby again.

Pleasant service. High quality fish enormous portion s . We had two enormous cod , one lot of chips ( enough for four ) and a carton of curry for £19.00 .

Really poor quality food. The sausage is probably the worst I have ever tried. Its like eating burnt bread with a tiny bit of meat inside, felt like there was no meat in it at all. The cod fish is plain, with no flavour and looked old. The donner meat was the only decent thing I ordered. Worst meal I have had in a long time.

Fish and Chips with curry sauce. The food itself is delicious. Fish is tender and flaky; the way fish should be. The batter is nice and crisp with just the right flavor. I will definitely come back to taste other choice selection of menu.

Food was of a good standard and the spring roll in particular was delicious. Nice variety of sundries. Didn't have the chips tho so can't comment on that. Staff were friendly and polite. I'd happily go again.
