Best chip shop/ restaurant around in our opinion can get really busy unable to pre-book table but you usually get seated quick.Quality and value 2 nd to none definitely try for yourself you won't be disappointed

I couldn't have enjoyed the food and service more. You can sit down in the restaurant at the back, or take away. Absolutely great value and fresh hot food. I'll be going back

Fantastic old tyme fish and chip shop with a good sized secret sit down reataurant in the back which seats around 65-70 people. It is very clean and warm inside the food is great. My wife had fish peas and a cup of tea, I had chips with bread and butter and a cup of tea our bill was £12-50, To me that's great value for money and we will definately go there again.

Used to be good and always recommended it but it's gone down hill since it started to open all day. Went in mid week and ordered 3 take aways which were all different. We were all very disappointed with the portion sizes and quality. Won't be going again. Hopefully it will improve because if not it will lose many customers.

El bacalao era suculento y sabroso recubierto de una hermosa masa servida con papas fritas perfectamente. Se va a deffo de nuevo : ) Finalmente he encontrado un chippy decente bastante local que no ha terminado - precio...

Siempre un placer encantador visitar el Frymaster, siempre sé que estaré felizmente satisfecho. La comida nunca deja de impresionarnos, nos encanta venir, recomendaría a familiares, amigos, extraños, etc. Limpio restaurante acogedor con una zona para llevar también, amable personal sonriente como siempre, a mano para ayudar si es necesario. Lo mejor de todo es que tampoco es muy lejos para nosotros, así que ganar ganar ohhh y el marido paga también, wooohoooo. seguir con el buen trabajo Frymaster, su un poco de mina de oro (una joya). Nos encanta venir a comer su comida deliciosa y deeeeelicious, es SIMPLEMENTE EL MEJOR. xxx no iría a ningún otro lugar

Very good quality haddock and chips in a really lovely environment and served by a really nice waitress who was helpful and friendly, was a great overall experience and in some ways a throwback to when the world was a nicer place!

Fantastic best fish and chips I have had in years.

I have been twice to Frymaster, had cod and chips the first time and haddock and chips the 2nd time, they weren't as good as the 4.8 rating. I went in a third time and had cod and chips and it was horrendous. I don't know if they had heated up the previous nights as I got in at 12:40 and they open at 12:30. I really wanted to be positive about this business as its a local Sheffield brand and couldn't do a nice short on youtube as it would have looked really bad. I won't even be going back.

No creo que puedas encontrar mejor valor que esto. £ 18. 60 para dos comidas de pescado con té. Además de pan y mantequilla.

This place is the bee's knees. We don't go anywhere else in Sheffield for fish and chips. The best advice I can give anyone is to eat in the restaurant. The biggest decision I have is mushy peas or curry sauce. Both are brilliant. I daren't try the gravy I'll have a decision overload.

This is a hidden gem , we had plain simple fish chips mushy peas two teas bread and butter and the best curry sauce amounting to a bank breaking £19 wow , it was delicious , the staff were attentive and very welcoming and friendly , lovely and clean , there is a free car park a stones throw away ....as Arnie say ....I'll be back

Best n cheapest proper chippy in Sheffield

I called in on my way home Saturday teatime as they are now open later Friday/Saturday and had Chips, Cod and curry sauce it was delicious the battered Cod is best I've had in a long time it's a must try.

It’s been the second time to this restaurant and takeaway, and we were not disappointed. Although it’s the takeaway section that being reviewed here today. It’s always a good sign where there are many people queuing inside and out. In fact there was so many serving behind the counter and three more serving in the restaurant. Anyhow back to the review, and I ordered the cod, chips, and mushy peas, and it was devoured in a short space of time. The only point to mention would be that the portions could do with being a little larger, but at least that something to work on for the establishment.

Top quality fish and chips for a very reasonable price. The restaurant was very busy on a weekday lunchtime but they still squeezed us in! Some of the best fish and chips in Sheffield for the lowest price I've seen for a while!

By far the best fish & chips I've had in Sheffield. All cooked the proper way in beef dripping with scraps included at request. Visited at 12:30 on a Tuesday and was very busy but service was efficient and friendly plus they let you put your own salt and vinegar on which is always a bonus. All in all would 100% recommend to anyone passing by.

What a great little fish & chip restaurant. Superb fish and chips at sensible prices. Friendly helpful staff and fast service Served 2 minutes after it was cooked. We had fish chips and mushy peas for 2. Bread and butter and a pot of tea. change out of £18. The bonus is the Joe Scarborough paintings. This is a (busy) haven on the cliffe. Word is getting round.

Came here for lunch on Tuesday we had booked a table as I know it’s very popular but we could have actually walked in Staff were friendly and welcoming We both had Cod and Chips , the cod was cooked to order so was piping hot and delicious Really good value for money Cod and chips with curry Cad and Chips with peas Tartar Sauce 3 slices of bread and butter 2 diet cokes total bill £18.90

Are people leaving reviews on here getting paid to or it's the miserable staff doing it? What a disgusting place to eat! I don't know what this place was like when it 1st opened but it's a complete dive now! I eat out alot and always leave honest and fair reviews and tbh this place serves probably the worst fish n chips in Sheffield! They charge £8.30 for a meal I shouldn't have paid £2.30 for. Small portions and they look and taste old. And to top it off the staff are so miserable when they serve you.....what happened to smiling? I will never eat from here again and I strongly suggest you stay clear aswell.

Frymaster is without a doubt the most consistent, the best Value and the all round best traditional fish & chip shop/restaurant in sheffield. It’s regulars queue up down the road outside the front door waiting for it’s shutters to roll up. All the food is fresh as can be and cooked to perfection. It’s as good as anywhere on the coast and Sheffield are lucky to have them.

The best Chippy in Sheffield, and just extended their hours for Friday's and Saturdays. 6:30pm the food, service and staff all fantastic.

Called in today while passing, ordered a Haddock and Chips and a Fishcake and Chips and Curry sauce, had to wait for the Haddock to be cooked fresh , both meals were very tasty, beautiful white flakes of Haddock, gorgeous crispy batter and the chips were very well cooked. The staff were very friendly too, Will definitely be going back for more and recommend to everyone.

Excellent food as ever. The Haddock was absolute perfection as was the Roe. Chips very very Tasty. Usual friendly and quick service on a busy day.

This is the best chippy haddock I've ever had. Really, really nice. The portion on their website doesn't do it justice, they are massive! Crispy batter, cooked all the way through, tasty, proper nice chips, lovely. The place is clean, modern and homely. I also saw a member of staff meticulously cleaning down a high chair, the fabric straps, everything. I don't doubt their cleanliness. Also, the young girl that served us was so smiley and friendly, nothing too much trouble. I'd definitely go here again. Well worth the (cheap) money.

Fantastic little gem. The fish and chips are excellent. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean and fresh. Well worth a visit and they don't cost a fortune to sit in and eat.

The customer service from the extended staff was good. However I had a particular encounter with a tall blonde woman who was bagging up my order which was very rude and aggressive as I asked for a bag which I had paid for but she refused to give me the bag I had paid for as she stated that I hadn’t paid for it even though I persistently told her I did. She went to ask another staff member at the till but she had been serving somebody else at that point and also agreed that I didn’t pay but she wasn’t even the person that served me. I asked for the receipt to show them I paid but was refused. I purchased 2 portions of cod and chips with separate peas and curry sauce. She did not attempt to locate the receipt at any given point and made it seem like she gave me the carrier bag free of charge. I paid 13.40 in total. That specific staff member has disgusting customer service skills so be careful

Great chip shop, gets busy but that's because it has good food at good value

We’ve been meaning to try this Fish n Chippie for ages having heard non stop good feedback from lots of people. Well everyone is absolutely right, the boss really knows what he is doing here. We had really delicious Cod n chips with mushy peas and it was nice to see you could have it with other sides like beans, coleslaw, gravy etc. Batter was crispy (bottom as well as top which is sign of correct temp/time/draining) and both fish n chips were to die for. No black gritty bits that you get with old fat. Staff were lovely and restaurant was very clean and well organized. Try it, you’ll not be disappointed, the sheer number of people eating in the restaurant speaks for itself, clearly a really popular place that gives excellent value and left us feeling full for the rest of the day. We’ll be back for sure.

Had the haddock meal and is spot on. The batter is nice and crispy. Chips cooked well. They have a takeaway and a dine in area at the back. Food prices are reasonable, and to be honest, good value for money.
