Excellent service and great quality food!

We went there for a sea food night and were not disappointed. I had oysters and my wife scallops. For main course, we both had hake and we were delighted with everything. Staff were also attentive without being overbearing.

We visited on a Thursday night. We struggled to decide on which dish to order as the menu options/variety were all appealing to us. We eventually decided on the baked cod and the honey glazed pork belly dishes. Both were delicious, very well presented and did not disappoint. For dessert we chose the bakewell slice and chocolate cheesecake. There was nothing left on either plate…delicious. We will definitely return to try different dishes from the menu. Staff were lovely and overall feel of the place really nice. Enjoyable dining. Thank you.

We only live a short walk away but had never been so we thought we'd give it a go for our wedding anniversary. Its a great little place. We went 6.30pm on a Saturday and it was nicely busy, lovely atmosphere and nicely fitted out. The food was great and the service excellent. The menu is good and a decent wine list. Price wise we thought it was pretty reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. We definitely recommend and will go again.

Had the Sunday Roast at Turnip & Thyme and it completely blew my expectations out of the water! The meat was so juicy and tender, the roast potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and the veggies were fresh and flavourful. The atmosphere was just as comforting as the food. It’s a spot that’s definitely going on my must-visit-again list. If you’re looking for a taste of home with a fancy twist, this is your place.

Tried out Seafood Nights on Wednesday and wow, what value for money! At £29.95 for two mouthwatering courses, I was honestly amazed by the quality and taste. The fish pie was absolutely divine, filled to the brim with the freshest seafood, and those crab cakes were simply the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s rare to find such incredible value for gourmet seafood dishes these days. The ambiance was just right for a relaxed dining experience, making the whole evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone craving a seafood feast without breaking the bank.

First time at Turnip & Thyme and I’m already planning my next visit. The vibe is so cozy and the food’s incredible. Fresh, seasonal ingredients and, a small menu, but with daily specials as well there is something for everyone. They’ve nailed it – cozy feels with a dash of fancy all without a bit price tag!

The duck breast was spot on, and the thyme and ginger rosti was beaut! My wife was all about her plant-based “chicken” and leek pie. Everything was just so tasty and well presented. Staff also friendly and attentive! Defo be back, and again, and again!

Lovely place for Sunday lunch. Staff were attentive from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious, the whole family enjoyed it. We had the Sunday lunch menu and a la cart and neither disappointed. Can thoroughly recommend it and will definitely come back.

Been several times to Turnip and Thyme and always been happy with the food, the atmosphere and in particular the service. I have been on Sunday for their Sunday roast and will return again, hopefully many times. Super.

Went with my wife, sister and brother in law for the first time last Saturday. With a cracking ambiance, we were led to our table, sat and were handed menus. There wasn’t a huge choice but every item was carefully selected for the menu. The starters and main courses were off the scale with baked cod, roasted pork belly and calamari. All great! The staff were attentive without being there all the time and helped us make choices when needed. The evening just turned out to be a cracking and special event. Highly recommend.

This restaurant has a lovely cosy vibe and plays great music that doesn’t drown out conversation. The food is amazing and certainly deserves all of its accolades. My partner has never tasted better scallops! Whilst there we heard nothing but brilliant comments from fellow diners. We wish we didn’t live 200 miles away!

We had dinner here on New Years Eve. Cute little restaurant with +/- 10 tables and friendly staff. Food was very tasteful. Only con I can think of is that it was a bit pricey.

Nice enough restaurant. Very accommodating of the dietary requirements of some of our party. Rather large portions were off-putting. Haddock tart to start was almost excellent, turkey for main was so-so and definitely didn’t need a Yorkshire on top of everything else. Toffee pudding was good.

Just a brief review because we had a great date night at Turnip & Thyme. Such a lovely little place I'd been wanting to visit for a while. My husband and I came for three courses one Friday night in early December and we loved it. We both had the scallops off the specials menu (fantastic) and discovered our new fave white wine (Marese Bombino Bianco- highly recommend that one). Everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and served promptly. The restaurant is really small which makes for a lovely atmosphere (especially this festive time of year). They have friendly staff and clearly great talent in the kitchen. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Turnip & Thyme nor to come back.

Another wonderful visit to Turnip and Thyme. We recently went to try their new festive menu, which was available as well as their regular choices! The menu had a fantastic range of dishes and some of our favourites from the night were the smoked haddock and cheddar tart to start, the salmon en croute and the festive turkey dinner. There was a great choice of wines or fizz too and the service as always was welcoming, friendly and efficient! Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to return.

Ordered several Sunday dinners to be delivered from here and never disappointed. I just love their roast lamb which always comes with a decent sized Yorkshire, plenty of roasties and a nice medley of seasonal vegetables with lovely gravy. Top quality food made with top quality ingredients and highly recommended. If I was to have a minor criticism and it really is minor, there's no mint sauce available but thats not really an issue to me as I have plenty in the garden and make my own

Celebrated my sisters graduation meal at Turnip & Thyme. The service was amazing, the food was divine . I loved my starter which was calamari 10/10. On rainy winters night it was great to be welcomed with a warm friendly cosy atmosphere. Lovely varied menu with added specials board great and polite service with fantastic tasting local food. Can not recommend high enough will definitely return.

Just went to Turnip and thyme and had a great experience, the best eatery I've been to in Sheffield so far. Very nicely decorated, friendly service (also very relaxed about the fact we were about 15 minutes late), and the food was very tasty. Would highly recommend the lamb with sweet potato puree and vegetables. Prawn bruscetta was tasty but I would say slightly expensive for the portion size. Regardless we will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Order a takeaway Sunday dinner . Very small portion , I paid £21 for it , the belly pork would have been great if there had been more of it . Sadly it was small enough for a child , my sister had the lamb 2 small slices , vegetables were undercooked , roast potato was over cooked . Lovely meal to celebrate! Small menu but a good choice still. We had the bread with olives and trio of butters which was yummy to start! Simple but the butters were so good. Good to share between two people. My partner then had the lamb rump and I had the sea bass. Flavours on both were delicious! The lamb was probably the most tender I’ve ever had and the veg was cooked perfectly with a tasty sauce. The fish itself was a bit on the small side but the accompaniments were very fresh, tasty and flavoursome! Pudding my partner had lemon cheesecake with champagne sorbet- the sorbet was a bit snotty, flavour was good and obviously champagne but think the texture needed some work, felt like it would never melt and was quite tacky, the cheesecake was subtlety lemony and fresh, it’s not zingy more like a posset. I had the chocolate and coffee fondant with whiskey sauce! Very good fondant! One of the better ones I’ve had, good size delicious middle. Only down side was that I couldn’t taste the coffee at all and there was only the smallest touch of whiskey sauce which was lovely but only lasted the first mouthful! Overall would defiantly recommend for starter and main!! The puddings weren’t as strong or at least they weren’t worth the £9.50 each for us. The service was friendly & efficient!
