Never go anywhere else to eat when visiting town, in fact we make a special trip just for our lunch. All the food is homemade and the specials are top notch. If the Corned beef pie is on the specials then that is a must!! The atmosphere is welcoming, friendly and that goes for the customers and the staff and the owner/chef is a great guy!

We booked afternoon tea for last Saturday, and it did not disappoint. The food was delightful, the hosts most welcoming, and the view stunning (even though it was raining.) We had such a positive experience, that we've booked to go back for the Grill Night next month. Well done Paul and Vanessa, you've breathed new life into the place!

Had lunch here a few days ago with friends. We were given a lovely warm welcome, coats taken and shown to our table. Great choice of food, with full explanations of all dishes given if required. I can not fault any part of this experience, the young trainees worked very hard to make sure everything went well. The staff were all very professional and it would have been easy believe you were in a “proper” restaurant. In fact I have had much worse food and service in many restaurants! Very generous portions of food, very well presented and good service. Excellent value when full price but we were lucky to go when a 2 for 1 offer was on. I can definitely recommend and will without doubt visit again soon. Thank you and well done to the youngsters.

We have drove past this place many times and always said we would give it a try - today was the day! We were pleased to see that they have an upstairs area with additional seating which was useful as seating is limited in the main part of the deli. I ordered the chicken pesto melt and my partner ordered the halloumi, harissa and hot honey sandwich with a side of crispy potatoes. We also ordered a vanilla latte and a vanilla iced latte. Both the food and drinks were very tasty and plentiful. The sandwiches arrived toasted with crisps on the side which was a nice addition. We found the menu to include a varied choice of options which swayed away from the generic cafe sandwiches which is always good to see. We will certainly return as the food was good quality and a reasonable price.

Fabulous healthy food - well cooked and top quality! This is a compulsory stop for us whenever we are in the lakes. Keep up the good work.

What a lovely pub!! We had a table of 9 with dogs and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! Beautiful Sunday roast, a good selection of starters and traditional hot puddings. We had a selection of beef, pork, chicken and lamb and all meat was cooked beautifully and plenty of veg with a really tasty proper gravy!! Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon! The land lords were really lovely people xx

Great warm baguettes. I would recommend them to anyone! Cueing out of the door for a reason! Brilliant for lunch on a cold or hot day as cold food offered too.

Great Pub under new management. Pete and Lisa took the Kings Head over in November and have had a fantastic impact on pub. New years eve was great with some new faces joining the party.

Great service, excellent coffee, great cakes. We were staying in coombe Martin for 3 days, and visited the cafe on each of the 3 days we were there. Lovely

Lovely cooked breakfast, great that you can select exactly which items you want as I personally hate beans and hash browns on a breakfast, so could easily avoid those and have extra mushrooms and tomatoes! Service was efficient, the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. It wasn’t overly greasy and was piping hot. Very much enjoyed. Giving 4 stars only because the cutlery is absolutely terrible to use! Knife blunt and uncomfortable to hold (jabs into hands), and as the bacon was slightly overdone (I don’t mind, I prefer it this way that the other) the knife was useless for cutting through it which was a tad annoying. This said, if passing through Lambourn again would absolutely return. Many thanks.

We call in after a walk around the area Well sign posted at the front of the building but a bit confusing after that But all good when we found our way We walked into a very light and airy room overlooking lovely gardens We looked at the winter menu and ordered some sandwiches and coffee which was very nice We really enjoyed our lunch the staff were fantastic very helpful and professional We would highly recommend the rocking horse Enjoy 😁

Been going to Cornwall for 6 years. Found this place after been recommended by someone on holiday. Back to see all staff again from 7th September. Best pasties ever.

Delicious 3 course meal deal from Old Dairy Kitchen the treacle tart and fresh brandy custard was outstanding 😋

Comimos, entrantes de salmón curado con cheddar dorado de fuentes y salmón curado con hinojo. El salmón estaba delicioso y delicadamente saborizado. Los bocados de cheddar eran cremosos, suaves y crujientes con una hermosa salsa de alioli de ajo silvestre. Para el plato principal comimos lenguado de limón con corteza de hierba verde con una salsa increíble. El pescado muy bien cocinado y tuvimos una buena porción. Nunca tenemos tres platos, pero no pudimos parar en dos! Para el postre tuvimos un pastel de jengibre caliente y pegajoso con ruibarbo y gelatina de naranja, ruibarbo escalfado, helado de ruibarbo y un tuile de azahar. Gran éxito del jengibre en diferentes formas y texturas. Un final triunfal para nuestra comida. Esta fue nuestra primera vez comiendo en este restaurante, y como no residentes nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. . Dado el alto nivel de comida nos quedamos impresionados por el ambiente relajado y no nos sentimos pretenciosos. El personal era encantador y servicial. La decoración contemporánea era agradable. Un ambiente agradable. Sin duda recomendaría y volveremos en nuestro próximo viaje a Scarborough.
