we found this lovely place by accident. Wonderful food, totally fresh and clean and home cooked in lovely cosy surroundings. Comfy chairs, sparkling dishes and cutlery, everything was spotless and the people who run it were charming. A lovely place to relax and enjoy lovely food or simply some coffee and maybe a bit of cake. Really a charming place.

After my wife had read the reviews we decided to give the Cappella Lounge a try. The coffee is far better than found in the usual high street coffee house chains. The interior is also far better than the photograph shown on this site. Its service was efficient and friendly, our food exceeded expectations. Also the meals chosen by other customers looked just as appetising. So do not drive past Chard. Find a parking spot and visit and enjoy the Cappella Lounge.

Had a lunch here with a friend, setting is lovely and has the added touch of selling local crafts , service was excellent, a very polite man served us ,couldn’t fault that but the food was bland and my friends chicken bun was like rubber and the bun was over toasted I’m afraid to say the portions are very small for the pricing.

A lovely spot for Breakfast and Lunch (or Brunch) with really tasty food and excellent coffee. It delivers more than just coffee though, as the converted church is full of interesting gifts and crafts made by local people.

In town for shopping. Breakfast needed. Tried Cappella Lounge. Looked inviting. Friendly staff, and set in a repurposed church. Went for light breakfast, couldn't have managed more. Very nice. Coffee good too. Might go again tomorrow.

Table for 2 upstairs, underneath some lovely local artwork. Prices reasonable, food very good and service was friendly and professional. Much better than I have to come to expect from chard restaurants.

The service is always good and whatever we choose is well executed. I particularly like the crushed avocado breakfast. Wonderful flavours. Capella has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The flat whites are exceptional!

Had noticed something new in place of what had before been a curry house and we decided to pop in for brunch whilst out shopping. Proved to be a good move.
