Wow. Simply put, the breakfast I had today at The Plumstead Pantry was nothing short of exceptional – easily the best breakfast I’ve ever experienced in the entire Greenwich Borough, and dare I say, one of the finest Full English breakfasts in all of London! From the moment the food arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just any ordinary breakfast. Every element was crafted with care, using top-quality ingredients: perfectly toasted sourdough, crispy bacon, juicy Lincolnshire pork sausages, and earthy mushrooms. But it’s the attention to detail that truly blew me away. Each bite was a symphony of flavors. The small yet thoughtful touches elevated the entire experience – a delicate gherkin alongside the butter, the beans (which resembled butter beans) in a proper, rich tomato puree, mushrooms cooked to perfection in garlic butter, and the most beautifully crispy hash browns. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an explosion of flavors with every forkful. The perfectly crafted oat milk cappuccino was the cherry on top – rich, creamy, and the ideal accompaniment to a breakfast that simply smashed all expectations. Words really don’t do this place justice – it’s one of those spots where you need more than one visit to fully appreciate the mastery behind each dish. If you’re in London and a breakfast lover, a trip to The Plumstead Pantry is an absolute must. And don't get me started on the cookies and cakes!!

This is a real find , My daughter took me here for Brunch. I was so impressed by the quality of the food offered. I had the full Breakfast. The presentation was excellent and appealing. A slice of fried sour bread with a perfectly fried egg. two very flavorsome sausages, well-cooked bacon and a slice of black pudding . I loved the bake which was a pleasing mix of beans a real treat. The coffee was smooth and smokey. I watched plates piled with smashed avocadoes with perfectly poached eggs. This is just cooking at this level as it gets. Make time to it's a real treat to the taste buds.

Popped in for breakfast today to see if it was as good as lunch. It was, food freshly cooked, coffee excellent but if you go for the full cook up make sure you are hungry. It is a nice friendly place to sit and eat, the odd chair outside as well.

I ordered sandwiches platters from Plumstead Pantry for an event we had at our organisation and they delivered the food in a timely manner, the food was packed in nicely. The food was amazing-high quality sandwich platter with a mixture of meat, vegan, veggie and gluten free sandwiches. I would recommend their service for events!

What an amazing unexpected morning spent in this wonderful place. Popped out for a walk and change of scenery, decided to work from the Pantry for a couple of hours. The team working there was welcoming, helpful and fun. The atmosphere was chilled and pleasant. Even a little singing. The coffee was lovely and the food was delicious. We will certainly be back!!

I heard of the pantry from a friend that visits quite frequently, and since they described it so positively I decided to take my girlfriend there to have lunch. The weather was quite gloomy during my visit, but the classic music and the cool aesthetics of the place easily made us forget the fact that it was cold and miserable outside! For lunch I had the Chorizo & Cheddar Croque Monsieur, which caught my attention quickly as I often have chorizos at home for snack. The sandwich tasted absolutely incredible, and after lunch me and my girlfriend both ordered a Mocha to end the afternoon with a warm-hearted vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, always with a smile whenever we got served! That made us feel very welcome, as if we visited as frequently as the locals. This place really is an amazing choice if you are looking to go out for lunch or breakfast in a calm and cozy place, either with friends and family, on a date with your partner or even just by yourself to do some work on the laptop or to read a book while drinking a warm beverage! I am definitely visiting the Pantry again many times during this new year, and would absolutely recommend it for a nice meal!!

I had only visited this place for the first time end of October this year (2022) but I have already been back like 4 times. And I am going again tomorrow... It is sooooo goooooood. Beautiful little cafe with a wonderful view of the common. The vegan breakfast is, incredible!!! To be fair, honestly, it was the best breakfast I have ever had FULL STOP, let alone the best vegan breakfast. My boyfriend got the regular meaty breakie and, he can be quite particular about ingredients (hes Italian and a chef) but he was in food heaven. 'The egg, it's so bright... its, the sausages, oh my god' and so on and so forth. Some could argue it is on the pricey side but the overall ethos of the cafe feels like you get bang for your buck. It is well chosen, local and/or organically sourced ingredients, well cooked and well executed dishes. Yes, maybe it isn't sustainable as a weekly outing, but well worth a delicious treat and the quality (and quantity) is bang on. These guys have a wall full of 'Best' this and 'Best' that, so you get what you pay for. The coffee is delicious. The people who run it are the sweeeeeetest. I can't sing this places praises enough. Well done y'all, please keep it up because I love itttttttt Enjoy!

We visited on a Friday evening for the fine dining experience and Wow, every single one of us was blown away by the quality of the food, I have eaten in top Restaurants in London and not experienced the level of quality we did here, they are, thankfully, continuing with further nights, I will definitely be at the front of the queue, amazing, friendly service, bravo, top marks to the chef.

You lucky people to have such a talented chef turning out high end restaurant food in this neighbourhood cafe. If you are in London travel to try the food. It’s only time before people will discover this hidden gem. Jaimie and Sandra have poured their life savings into this little enterprise. I can’t stress enough how good it is. They cater for people wanting great coffee or 5 star dining and all points in between. Pricing is on point but it’s all about the quality here. Best food I have eaten in the last 2 years and as one of the top 1% of trip advisor reviewers in London that is a really high bar!!

A real hidden gem overlooking Plumstead Common. Home-baked goods and great variety on the menu which changes regularly with vegan and gluten-free options. Serves the best coffee in the area and the owners are the nicest people you could possibly find.

Such an amazing turn around since the new owners took over at the end of 2020, everything always looks fab and tastes great, with the majority of the overall mains menu being made fresh to order. Every day there is something new and interesting on the menu, along side some classic regular staples, so every visit there are always difficult choices to made, or even more money to be spent haha, both of which have been my reality since December '20 :).

A charming shop with cordial and nice sellers, the fudge is very very tasty, there are a variety of flavors, it's worth traveling especially to Greenwich to buy from them.

I had my first ever Fish and Chips at The Golden Chippy and it was very good! The batter is crispy and the cod almost melts in your mouth, the salad was also very good and I liked the texture the chips had. The staff was very friendly as well, I asked which fish should I try for my first ever Fish and Chips and the young man serving us promptly suggested I try the cod. We didn’t have to wait much for our food either, so I can recommend The Golden Chippy if you’re staying at the nearby Hotel and don’t really want to wait long for dinner. Thank you The Golden Chippy for making my first London visit a lovely and tasty one!

Food was mediocre. Mash had zero taste. Friend smothered her food with salt and pepper as she thought it was so bland and we'd gone there because she was desperate for pie & mash after too long without. Also, the pies are large but the portion of mash is very small, and the gravy (not the liquor) was as tasteless as the mash. The atmosphere was meh but they may have been due to the time of day. There were also guests having a bit of a barney. Which might have been interesting if we could hear clearly enough to understand what was occurring 😄. I will say that the staff were nice and the gentleman who cleaned the tables was wonderfully warm and friendly. The place was very clean, and the tea was excellent (would be better in a proper mug!). But unfortunately, for a restaurant, the food just wasn't great. And this isn't the first time I've been there and thought as much. There are far better pie and mash eateries around.
