We stayed at the Wensleydale Heifer last night on our way back from Cumbria, As with many times before, we received a very warm welcome by all the staff, a fantastic meal, wonderful night's sleep and excellent breakfast! Always want to return again and again. Big Thanks to you all.

Went out with a few mates to the Bournemouth Steak House. Honestly, didn’t expect to be blown away but I was. I got the fillet steak and... wow. Cooked exactly how I asked, super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Like, you could cut it with a spoon kinda soft. If you’re a steak person (or even if you’re not), this place will probably ruin all other steaks for you. 10/10 would recommend.

Visited last week with a friend who took me out for for my birthday. A lovely friendly welcome, & the choice of seating. Relaxing atmosphere, with gentle background music, out doors looked very appealing , but we chose indoor as it was a hot day. The menu has a great choice, definitely something for everyone.Once ordered the food wasn't long in following ,piping hot , and great portions. Clean plates from us ! very nice, quality and freshness is certainly the chefs priority at Valentines. Will certainly be visiting again very soon.

A friend bought a gift voucher for our Harry Potter mad 9 year old to come here. We went on a Sunday when they had the owl meet and greets, where he got to meet 2 of the most gorgeous owls and learn all about them. The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff were dressed up, made lots of effort and never fell out of character. Our son said 'he thought it would be good, but it was so much better than he could imagine'.

Been here several times over the last 5 years when camping near Charlbury. Food and service are always excellent with a good section of beers and real ales. Usually call in for a light lunch, sandwich etc but have also had an evening meal. This time it was the prawn sandwich, posh fish finger sandwich (fillet if fish in tempura batter) and chips. Lovely traditional English pub. Nothing to fault.
