Food was great and staff friendly and really good value for money. 1st time here and will be coming again when passing for work.

The food is delicious and generous portions. Excellent service. Very good value. Great location in the middle of Llantwit.

Ordered for the first time from Sawai Thai last night and overall was very impressed with the quality, quantity and value of food on offer. We bought 2x Chicken jasmine rice dishes and a portion of chips to share. The order came to £25 including a can of coke and although £2.50 for a can is pretty steep the overall cost of everything I think is reasonable given location and quality. We headed over to Pentire Headland a couple minutes up the road to catch a beautiful sunset and enjoy some lovely food. The fried rice was beautiful and sticky but not stodgy. The chicken was fresh, moist, tasty and plentiful. There was a decent amount of veg and the meal felt healthier than most takeaway. The Chips at £4.50 were okay. Presumably generic frozen chips. Portion size was fair for sharing with another dish. Weren't awful but probably wouldn't order again. Also no vinegar available. Also to note on the picture there is 1 very salty chip.. I put my own salt on this wasn't done by the cooks. The main dishes however were so good yesterday I'm coming back later today to try some other dishes and hopefully catching another stunning sunset over Crantock/Fistral! Also to note staff were nice and friendly. Based on my first experience I'd rate it a solid 8.5/10. Will update this review after I've tried some more food tonight. UPDATED REVIEW... So I did return the day after as it was so good and this time I wanted to try some noodle dishes and also wanted to try some other meats. I ordered Pork Pad Mee Korat which was a spicy rice noodle dish with pork and was absolutely delicious! It was fairly spicy with a decent kick but not overwhelming. The missus ordered Chicken Pad Thai which again was rice noodles and chicken in a more mild sauce which was also fantastic. I also wanted to try the beef so we ordered the same jasmine fried rice dish as the previous day but with beef instead of chicken. Again the rice dish was lovely just as I had already experienced and the beef was super moist and tasty. Having tried the chicken and beef I would suggest the chicken works better in that specific dish. Another minor point as I had with the chips on the previous visit, the spring rolls were not the best. Like the chips they weren't terrible but not value for money. For £6 you get a portion of 4 spring rolls which in fairness taste nice enough but they're not the biggest and not particularly well filled. I'd say they were about 75% batter. TO SUMMARISE My overall experience from 2 back to back visits is some genuinely fantastic Thai cooking. Rice dishes and noodle dishes are equally brilliant and the beef, chicken and pork I've tried were all delicious and generously portioned. A couple of minor points for the chips and spring rolls which are not so great and also on the expensive side but the main dishes are piping hot, rammed with protein and absolutely full of fresh ingredients and flavour offering affordable quality takeout great value for money. Overall I'd give this a 9 out of 10 based on 2 visits and I can see this becoming my regular food spot in Newquay. I'm excited to get creative and try more dishes I've never thought of ordering. Absolutely brilliant place.

Dined at this fantastic restaurant and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The grilled pork was incredibly fresh, and the kimchi fried chicken with a mustard sauce was to die for. I believe the ingredients were of top-notch quality, and the sauces were truly unique. Highly recommend this lovely place!

I suggested getting some dinner for my Mum and she said looking at reviews why not try the tasty Thai truck in Shoreham.. We ordered over the phone 20 mins later it was ready and we were not disappointed with the quality and flavour.. it was very very tasty and I definitely recommend A++++

Lasso Excelentes momos vegetales y porciones generosas de veg dal bhat - ambos son de gran valor y la ubicación del centro de la ciudad es conveniente (pero puede estar ocupado y carece de vistas a la montaña - tampoco son culpa del Buda Hambriento!). Las especias se utilizan delicadamente y están bien equilibradas (posiblemente suavizadas un poco para los gustos locales, me gustaría un pepinillo más ponzoñoso) , la verdura es fresca y el dal agradable con la cantidad justa de sal (más dal por favor! ). Las salsas momo son adictivas. Los momos son tan buenos como en Nepal; mi hijo los declaró segundos después de los de una logia en Timang. Son auténticos (por supuesto, dado quién los cocina) y ciertamente nos traen recuerdos. Si solo sel roti y kala chia estuvieran disponibles por la mañana... Tujeje moula

Amazing little gem of restaurant, with lovely ambience and a nice cozy vibe to it. Service from Justin is great and truly authentic Indonesian dishes are on offer here. Felt like I was transported back to Indonesia the dishes were that good!

We ordered take away food, it was tricky to know how to get in to pick up our food as we hadn't been before. The food was still piping hot when we got home. There was plenty of it, the ingredients were fresh and it was super tasty! 👌

cheers mate took an hour to make 1 pranta others ordered about 500 and it came before us ridiculous never coming here again. no hygiene had to sit behind a dirty mop lack of seating

Realmente no recuerdo la última vez que he disfrutado tanto de una comida. Los sabores eran increíbles. Decidimos pedir una variedad de platos y compartir, que era una excelente idea. Nos persuadieron de probar la tarta de queso que era diferente a cualquiera que había probado antes. Tan ligero y cremoso.

Buzzing modern Thai eatery in the Northern Quarter. The menu consists of mostly small plates. The kohlrabi salad had an interesting mix of peanut and fish sauce. The monkfish yellow curry was bursting with Thai flavours. Small pieces of monkfish were topped with slices of perfect scallops and prawns. I had some chicken rice with it. The rice was delicious )although some would have preferred a plain rice to not interfere with the curry.) The pickled and burnt gem lettuce was delicious too! I finished off with the coconut caramel which was a small cube with a delicate hint of tumeric. The service was efficient and the restaurant was buzzing with a large table of Thai customers enjoying themselves. I would definitely return! The bill came to £45 without alcohol. (The reservation required a £20 deposit.)

Delicious food that everyone loved from young kids (3+) to the big kids (70+)! Very professional service and a great addition to my party with no need to prep/clean up, made everything easy and stress free!

my buddy alex bui lives at this resteraunt he is from mongolia, i decided to take a trip here with him when i was met with the pleasant suprise of a nice dog in my food.
