Love love love! A new gem to my collection 💎 Went there with friends on a Tuesday. It was not too busy. The place is clean, welcoming. The staff is friendly and general atmosphere is laid back which i really loved. The food was so delicious! I tried the inferno noodles ranging from spicy level 1 to 18. Love the concept and if you get the spiciest, you get to sign their board. You definitely get your portion worth for your money. Absolutely recommend!

The atmosphere was very nice, the food tasted so good. We got the spicy beef rice(medium spice), special vegetable rice , honey mustard wings and garlic butter wings everything was a 10/10. Would definitely go back

As a big fan of many Oriental restaurants in Brum, I thought I’d try Impression after driving past it several times. I think it’s now my new favourite. Firstly, the food. It was outstanding. We shared a few dishes between the 3 of us, including some great prawn soup dumplings; grilled beef and lamb skewers with a solid whack of chilli; a Cantonese-style teriyaki duck; a salted egg yolk dish with seafood; spicy noodles with mixed meats; and a Korean Topokki dish with spicy beef and a cheese and chilli sauce. All were absolutely excellent, freshly cooked and we managed to eat every last bit. The staff are very friendly and smiley, and always willing to help with the menu. We also smiled throughout as the food was so, so good! I’ll be back very soon indeed to check out their ramen, which has 18 different levels of chilli heat to choose from. Can’t wait!

I do not know why this place doesn’t have a line outside and around the block. I’m from a place known for great Asian food and this place is the best Asian food I’ve ever had. They do everything right and it’s amazing. I can’t say enough about it. Make this a destination spot when in Birmingham.

This is a bit of a hidden gem that I have been keeping to myself,!however I fear it is not fair… the food is FANTASTIC, service lovely & it is Super Clean… this place really is well worth a visit👍

This is a lovely place to sit down and eat. The service was quick and polite and the food was amazing with large portions! Will definitely be going there again! Support local business and try this restaurant instead of your local Wagamamas!

Amazing! Popped in for a quick visit and really enjoyed my time here, a varied menu with good prices, friendly servers and delicious food that arrived quickly! I ordered the hot and sour mixed seafood soup and loved it, the seafood was perfectly cooked and the soup was so flavourful! The restuarant was also beautifully clean. Want to come back with friends so we can order more food 😋.

This restaurant is simply excellent! The starters are incredible (especially the curry breaded chicken), the portions are substantial, the staff are lovely, I highly recommend!!

Lovely Japanese food at affordable prices. I highly recommend the vegetable noodles, and the fried rice with beef. There's plenty other interesting options on the menu too.

First time coming here glad to say I really enjoyed the food. The noodle soup was quite good and I loved the dumplings.

My canteen! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The spicy beef brisket noodles are so fragrant. Everything else is delicious. You can order whatever you want without stepping on the wrong side! !

really good small restaurant, the Chinese food here are delicious. Some Japanese beer are also provided here. The environment is light and clean fit. The room are larger enough for family dinner.

Great addition to the area. Visited on a weekday afternoon for the first time. Both had a soup with brisket one spicy one normal both were full of flavour and really enjoyable. Staff were welcoming and friendly we will be back soon thanks

Lovely, friendly service and the place has a very welcoming atmosphere. First time going and we were impressed by the items on the menu. The star of the show definitely has to be the fried pork buns - crispy bottom, soft dough on the top with the lovely hot juicy meat in the middle. For those of you who’ve been to Shanghai and know of Shengjian Bao, this place is the one for you to get your bao on. Everything else was also very tasty and quite authentic. If you’re into spicy food - they also have an inferno ramen noodle challenge. We’d definitely come back to try out the other things on the menu. Finally, it’s always a bonus that a place has a clean toilet. The only two things I’d say are 1) it’s a bit on the pricey side vs. portion size; 2) as a lover of salt and pepper tofu, we would’ve personally preferred the dish to have a bit more of the salt pepper zing.

Best Chinese food in city center

Fantastic food. So tasty, piping hot, served quickly. Great value. So so good.

Impression is a great restaurant with multiple choices and varieties of food. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet with multiple lights brightening up the room. The food is great and the texture is just right! I recommend this restaurant highly if you want a nice calm dinner with your friends.

Well, as a Korean, this is not a Korean restaurant at all. It’s more towards to China Chinese restaurant. I ordered 1 prawn & pork wanton soup, 1 Ho fun. But Ho fun really disappointed me… as a person who lived in Singapore for long, I know what is original & proper taste of Ho fun. It supposed to be more gravy rather than dry. The food was more close to Char kway teow I would say. And the beer was a bit smelly and too tough to chew… I left over all the beef end up. And both of soup & noodles were too blend, i had to request for cut chilli and soya sauce to put in. But the owner(auntie) was kind enough to serve tap water at all. Place was very quiet during lunch so I didn’t get any disturbances. Thanks.

I really recommend this restaurant to everyone! Get to it!!! Inferno Ramen 🍜! You can feel the aroma of fresh chili peppers and the more you eat, the more you feel the different layers of flavor Eggplant with salted egg yolk 🍆 How can there be such an amazing combination, I'm madly in love with it now

We went to Impression for a birthday dinner and ordered an array of dishes, all of which were amazing! Among others, we ordered seafood ramen, teriyaki salmon bento box, dumplings in chilli oil, tteokpokki, salted-egg aubergines. Aside from the homely and comforting food, the atmosphere was lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. Next time, we'll be back for the Inferno ramen challenge!

Today is my fourth time in Impression restaurant. It is indeed impressive! You can get a wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean styles in one place. My most favourite dishes so far are the dumpling in chilli oil, the salted egg-coated stir fried aubergine, and the ramen. Oh no i can not pick only one! Highly recommend for the Asian foods lover to come and try.

Wow! Great new restaurant - extensive menu choices, great dishes & friendly service. 100% recommended. I have tried several dishes over 3 visits - not one bad meal both eat in & takeaway. Hidden gem.

한식집은 아니고 엄밀히 말하면 중국식에 가까워요. 치킨데리야끼가 달기는 하지만 맛있었어요. 직원분이 친절하셨어요^^

Very cosy place with lovely staff and a well-maintained and clean place. And the food also was just right with lots of different flavours.

Brought a takeaway home to my family, we have got takeaway a couple of times from here and always been good, same again this time! We had the seafood Ho Fun, special salty egg yolk fried rice and the fried pork buns which the lady says is their signature. All was full of flavour and a decent portion Size. The dumplings were flavoursome and had a lovely soup inside (caution there is a LOT of soup so be careful to avoid spilling it everywhere once you break the skin!) It honestly didn't need the dip as was already so flavoursome but the dip was very good also. The fried rice was sticky but that was from the egg yolk so was to be expected and the flavour was fantastic! Its not the cheapest place but the quality is definitely there, Will certainly keep treating ourselves here.

The perfect spot for some Chinese food!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that served some of the best food I have ever eaten. The restaurant was cozy and inviting, with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home

Delicious food, udon noodle in a nice broth, duck spring rolls, dijon wings, were all yummy 😋. Nice fresh and clean decor, very pleasent lady kindly let us in even though the restaurant was closing, large menu with a lot of dishes to choose from highly recommended

The food here is amazing! Everything that we tried was fantastic. It was so good that we visited three times during our one week stay in Birmingham. The Dijon wings are some of the best wings I’ve ever had. Everything from the ramen to the fried rice to the curry is delicious. Very quick service and kind staff. Prices are also very good. You can easily eat for about £15. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Delicious, and very good potion.

Food was incredible, especially the prawn udon. Atmosphere inside was great and the service was very attentive despite it being quite busy! A real gem in my book, we will definitely be back again!

Great new restaurant in Birmingham that has just opened. I visited last week - ordered 3 starters all great - then Singapore noodles - which were great. Back this week to try some more dishes. Worth a visit!

New restaurant, amazing blend of herbs and spices to make the meals absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. The staff were friendly, informative and great to talk too. If you like Japanese, go here - you won’t be disappointed

A small, cute and cosy restaurant that does very nice Asian food!

The food is delicious, especially the chicken wings and the noodles. The menu is not too overwhelming, so you will be able to choose easily, as they also have a section which lists the food they specialise. You will get the most out of what you paid for. The restaurant is also neat, and the ambience is good, which are plus points.

Really pleasant atmosphere, nice background music. We just came for snacks and had dumplings, they were good. Lovely staff as well!

The satay beef ramen was soooo nice I absolutely loved it 💕 portion was large too! The beef was tender and the soup full of flavour. Fried chicken wings were juicy, a perfect match with honey mustard dressing. The pork buns had plenty of soup in them but they are slightly on the sweet side. The location is easy to find (just next door to Seoul kitchen)

The food is fantastic and service was excellent. Chicken wings are delicious and loved the duck spring rolls. Their seafood ramen is a must.
