Rendang here is nice as is the crispy tofu. There are not many Indonesian restaurants in the uk for the indonesian dispora most are in london this is definitely one of the tastier ones Give it a try!

Finally an Indonesian restaurant which located not far away from Manchester! Food The food was amazing. I ordered the Nasi Campur and it was delicious. The pork was so nice and delicious, and the broth was so warm and soothing. My friends had Babi Panggang and they said it was amazing as well. If you like spicy, ask for their sambal andaliman. It's spicy, fragrant, and delicious. I would love to come back next time for another food on the menu to try. Atmosphere and service It's a small restaurant which has a very homey ambiance. The staff were super nice and polite. The chef said hi to us as well. We love this place.

This restaurant is a little gem 💎 from the warm welcome to the fantastic food 🥘 highly recommended you visit and check it out for yourself. Every bite was a flavour explosion, so moorish. Essential to book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Absolutely amazing food, as always. The food is always 5/5 and is exactly like the Balinese food I sampled whilst travelling. Meals including drinks are very fairly priced. I wouldn’t expect the fastest service, however this is absolutely because of the food being hand made in the kitchen - and worth the wait! Easily my favourite restaurant in the area. I’ve been 5+ times now and it’s delicious every time.

I love the details of authentic ornaments and wall decoration that they added to the restaurant! The food is AMAZING! I ordered Babi Panggang, it definitely reminds me of the one I had in Indonesia, the roast pork, the soup, the andaliman sauce, and the sambal. I’m just sad that it’s only opened at dinner time.

Visited Kota Lapo for a family meal and could not have wished for more - it's a lovely little restaurant with brilliant staff, great service and an authentic menu which includes some really tasty dishes. All food is homemade, fresh and hot and cooked to perfection - the Bao Buns in particular were amazing! Staff are warm and welcoming and very accomodating. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Lovely little spot right in the centre of Hadfield. Food is fresh and tasty, all homemade. Service is brilliant and staff are friendly and helpful, prices are very reasonable and there is a lovely cosy and authentic atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place, it's a fantastic addition to the area.

Lovely atmosphere, great service, combined with fresh, authentic food makes this one of my favourite restaurants to visit, the Beef Rendang is to die for. Will be going back very soon!

I feel harsh rating this place so badly, and was really shocked at how disappointing it was after looking at all the amazing reviews, but it was really poor. The service was slow, awkward and not very warm or inviting, the food I had was average at best. The crispy chicken wontons smelt like fish and tasted processed. Then the Sate Ayam was quite small, again seemed like it was bought in rather than made onsite, the rice "cakes" were one of the worst things I've ever eaten. Like eating a sheet of kitchen towel that had been soaked in water, absolutely no flavour and even covered in sauce it's like it made flavour disappear, other people in our group felt the same. The sauce with the main was really watery too. The pork bun was quite nice, that for me was the only highlight, and the restaurant itself is quite cute and comfy, but the food and service were just not up to par with other places in the area, will not be going back.

We ate here on Champions League finals night - so - the restaurant was very quiet but the food was amazing. Fresh, hot and so, so tasty. Given that the restaurant was quiet the service was a little slow, this would be my only criticism when looking at the bigger picture, but it was a hot night and we were under no time pressure so it wasn't a problem for us. We'd definitely go back and would not hesitate to recommend on the back of our experience at the weekend.

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The service is great, they pace it just right so you don't feel rushed but also don't feel like you're waiting around. The food is some of the nicest I have ever had in a restaurant. You can tell it's freshly prepared as it comes out piping hot and tastes incredible. The Salt n Pepper Tahu, Crispy Wantons and Babi Panggang stole the show for me, but I can't honestly say that every bite of every dish I've tried here has left me wanting to rush back to try it again. Kota Lapo is a great addition to Hadfield and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

You can tell that this is freshly made! Absolutely delicious from starters to puddings! The price is also amazing definitely get your moneys worth. The atmosphere is also quite nice, busy with the locals too when we went. And great service all! Will definitely recommend this place!

We were fortunate some years ago to visit Indonesia and amongst its many spectacular attractions one was its food in-particularits street food. Never did we think it could be replicated here with our driving into a large city. Well Justin and his wife Melianti decided to open their Indonesian Street Food Restaurant in Hadfield nr Glossop. This is one food experience you should not miss. Great atmosphere friendly service and most of all exceptional Indonesian food. Long may it continue.

I do like this restaurant. The best in Hadfield 😊. We'll, the only one really, but the food is really good. It's local for me and I have been there 4 times and had something different each time.

The restaurant had a nice relaxing atmosphere. The food was very nice, we had 3 starters and two mains between the two of us and it was the perfect amount at a good price.

Phoned for a last minute booking and was accommodated even though was busy. Genuine people, amazing food, really nice relaxed atmosphere. Food cooked with love. Really good night for my partner and I. Try it you won't be disappointed

Visited with 2 other members of the family. We were very impressed and will return again. My main, Seafood Nasi Goreng with fried rice, was exceptional. 2 of us had it and agreed it was worth the visit just for that. But starters and sweets were also good. The third member of the family had the Beef Rendang as his main, and said it was one of the best curries he had ever eaten, and he eats lots of curries. Very friendly staff, very reasonable prices, great food. Whats not to like.

Absolutely amazing food, Kota Lapo is a great addition to Hadfield! The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were incredibly helpful, telling us about each part of the dishes we ordered. Very reasonable prices too!

Fantastic food unlike any I've tried elsewhere. The Beef Rendang is hard to look past when I order. I'm loathe to recommend this place as I might not get a table. Super food and the owners are very friendly people

Ate here first time due to hearing v. good recommendations. Food started with spring roll and main was beef curry. All was absolutely delicious. We have already booked to go again.

Food absolutely amazing. Would have appreciated a description of the food on the menu, as options mostly had their Indonesian names, but the guy (owner?) was very helpful and talked us through the translations.

WOW ! The food was amazing. Fresh authentic food, great service and a lovely atmosphere - what's not to like! Loved it and we will be back many times in the future. Loved the "money bags" and the beef rendang. So pleased that we have this hidden gem on our doorstep and highly recommend it.

We had a lovely dinner at this new restaurant. The service was friendly and relaxed. The dining area is comfortable and classy. We enjoyed that it was a fairly small menu, not overwhelming. We really enjoyed both the starters and main course suggested by the owner. Great service at a great price, very much looking forward to going again.

The food felt home made, and arrived at the table steaming hot. It's a limited menu but I'm sure they will develop and increase it over time. They are waiting on their drinks licence but will allow you to bring your own until it arrives. Their is a supermarket a few doors down. I really enjoyed our meal, something a little bit different for the area.

Amazing authentic restaurant, serving home made, fresh food with great quality produce. The chef is amazing, you must try the Babi Kecap delicious flavoursome dish. Very reasonably priced and attentive service. Hope this place does really well and continues to grow. A new local favourite.
