We arrived for dinner on a Saturday evening, place wasn’t too busy but it still felt like the small group in the corner were quite loud but I think it’s down to the layout of the restaurant being one giant room. Service and quality of the food was very good, wouldn’t say it was 5 star service or 5 star food, so would of been 4 stars but I personally found it ridiculous that they didn’t have any alcohol free beer, so you lost a star for that.

Sunny's Street Food have brought back their famed pizzas back!! Baked from freshly made dough and authentic Italian pizza sauce the pizzas here are stone baked to perfection. I tried veg pizza and my children had meat feat and pepperoni pizza each and we were not disappointed. Have you tried their hand-cut real potato chips? Please do and you will be forced to write a similar review. Absolutely smashing food and they do all sorts -- Italian, American, British and Mexican!!! Fresh and good value for money. Highly recommended!!!

This is mine and my partners 3rd time coming here wish we could review every visit but alas we can’t this time was as good as ever with amazing food amazing drinks and great staff. I had the pork ribs and my partner had the “fat boy” burger we can definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to go out for a good meal in a little hidden gem. ONCE YOU HAD MAGS YOU WONT WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR RIBS OR BURGERS.

We hired the function room upstairs for our annual meeting for my company employees etc. It is a fabulous room, ideal with great views. An excellent screen and it's easy to screen share from your device and also a great sound if you needed to play any training videos. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very accommodating. The caterer was so lovely we felt looked after, with tea, coffee, and water served all day, bacon rolls in the morning, and a delicious hot and cold buffet lunch. It is such good value for money and would beat anywhere else around Cardiff on price. If you need to hire this room for a meeting, I can highly recommend.

Mi pareja y yo fuimos ayer con la intención de comer. Como sin gluten debido a la enfermedad celíaca y este restaurante solía ser absolutamente increíble por ofrecer alternativas sin gluten a casi todos sus platos. El restaurante ha sido tomado por los nuevos propietarios y claramente no tienen la misma comprensión que el anterior. Al reservar pregunté si todavía tenían un menú sin gluten debido al cambio de propietario y me aseguraron que no habría problemas. Al llegar pedí el menú sin gluten y me mostraron el menú vegano en el menú principal. Reiteré que necesitaba el menú sin gluten y me dijeron que podían ofrecer un plato de pasta y un plato de pizza. Espantoso. La camarera parecía despistada. El chef se acercó a discutir conmigo y no me dio fe en que estaría segura para comer en este restaurante. Seguía redirigiendo la conversación de vuelta al menú vegano, preguntando si alguno de nosotros era vegano y parecía tener muy poca comprensión cuando se hablaba de enfermedad celíaca o comida sin gluten. En general, un servicio terrible y una falta masiva de comprensión cuando se trata de comer sin gluten y ofrecer alternativas de alimentos sin gluten. Es una pena enorme ya que este restaurante solía ser increíble cuando se trataba de cenar sin gluten. Nunca lo volveré a visitar.

Wow what a fabulous evening meal to celebrate my husband's 60 th birthday. The food was superb and service from all staff was immaculate..A very special thankyou to the lovely owners who helped me throughout the booking and to Sam for helping with the cake topping and balloons. A truly magical evening , fabulous food and drinks..

We went to the Coal house for a meal with our friends to get together one evening as a catch up to see everyone, we were warmly greeted and the staff was excellent. We had a nice tasty starter to begin with that didn't take long to serve.. Then Dinner was delivered soon after, which unfortunately wasn't quite up to the standard of the starter, it was nice and tasty but did lack abit in the quality, I personally had scampi, chips and peas, and yes it was nice, but was lacking in overall, a few of us agreed that the dinner wasn't quite a 5 star meal but more of a 3-4 star quality.. Soon after dinner desert came and was a very tasty desert. I personally had sticky toffee pudding and custard and was delicious. So overall we had a nice welcome, good starter and desert, but the main dinner meal was slightly behind.. But the staff were fantastic and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks you Coal house 😊

Great and fast food, good music

Food was half decent… service however was shocking. When you have to go down stairs to ask for the sauces you have ordered almost 10 minutes previously and get sorry I forgot you know people are not doing their job correctly. Add to that ordering drinks that never came. Then ask for the bill to find 3 deserts when we didn’t even have any. Worst still to come, after two attempts of getting the bill the waitress then decides to try and collect all of our plates which I thought was either brave or stupid. Seems the latter was the correct judgement as she dropped a full pot of BBQ sauce all over me. She did apologise and quote” don’t worry I spill things on me all the time, it will wash out” put it this way I hope it does because the clothing ruined came more than our entire bill. Steak was tasty though if it’s any consolation.

Excelente comida, super servicio. Croquetas de langostinos encantadoras. Cochinillo súper. El servicio fue atento y la carta de vinos extensa. Buenas recomendaciones del camarero. En resumen, uno de los mejores restaurantes de la región.

Very enjoyable dining, and an interesting and inventive menu. Carl Gough has now closed his restaurant, though he is bound to rise from the ashes and find success elsewhere. I have been running restaurants and hotels for 30 years now, and I have one rule that is set in stone: Never wait for for the council inspector to visit you. Invite him (or her) before you open, and put their recommendations in place. Then you will avoid the fate of the Muddy Toad. Good luck for the future, Mr. Gough. I very much hope that we'll be hearing from you again.

First time dining at Albis this afternoon and I have to say the food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! Surf and turf, 8oz steak cooked to absolute perfection and the best tiger prawns I have ever tasted!! Fantastic service, highly recommend and will definitely be returning.. Thank you Albi
