Expensive for what it is not recommended for older people as its on three floors with lots of stairs

Been here several times, food is always great but service can be hit and miss. Not tonight though Gigi and her staff were exceptional. Really impressed, customer service was amazing. Thank you!

Had a lovely welcome. Staff very attentive throughout meal. Ordered Steak, chips, blue cheese sauce and mushrooms. As previously stipulated the blue cheese sauce is absolutely delicious! Steak cooked well and as Ordered. All food fresh. One point I would mention is think it would be advantageous if peppercorn sauce was a little larger as its so tasty. Restaurant was clean, toilets clean and very happy and chatty staff. Easy going atmosphere, nice music and lighting. Our server was Ellie who was competent, friendly and knowledgeable on Steak preparation. Will be going back soon.

Tasty food and good service, a little on the pricey side but it is really nice food. Atmosphere is good, a bit loud at times but only because it can get busy. They brought the wrong drink but corrected the mistake straight away. Was a great experience, a little more expensive than we are used to but it is worth it for an occasional treat.

It was my first time today going to just steak and it was amazing the service was really good as well as the food and atmosphere.im was really good and they are really good with anything you are allergic to.i would really recommend it

We booked a nice night out with friends, it was our first visit & had previously heard good things. We ordered a mix of meals, with Nacho's to start - which were lovely. We then had Rump steak with the unlimited 'Beef Dripping' chips. The steak was cooked well (not blown away), however, the chips tasted just like normal oven chips, with half of them bruised and inedible, absolutely nothing special. With a drink each, the bill totalled around £92 - for the entire group we were in around £270. After splitting the bill between us, we settled the payment with our server & got ready to leave. However, just before we got up from the table, our server came back over. They said that their manager had sent them back as our bill was 1p short...1 penny. Considering the amount of money we had spent collectively, we found it a little bit strange, especially after the bill had already been rang up & settled. Nevertheless, we gave 2p to settle it, with 1p change. Rather than the manager or supervisor explaining to us, it was left to the poor girl to approach and take the slack instead. Absolutely would not recommend or will be visiting again. Go further down the road & spend your money there instead.

Firstly credit where it is due, absolutely lovely waitresses doing a great job. The food was as always, really good, moist, juicy and really tasty. Enjoyable to eat and plenty of it. Loads of chips due to the unlimited offer they do. They may look pale and under cooked but provided you didn't pick a black bruised or one with a stonker of an eye in it, they taste amazing. The steaks as always cooked to perfection 👌, a minor mix up with some sauces but amoung friends this was soon resolved. As always, there was a faff with the bill as places can never accommodate split bills. We decided to split equally into thirds and in error over looked the rounding up of the devision. Much to our amazement, the manager had sent the poor young waiter back with a revised receipt to collect a penny, as we'd only paid £274.59 towards our bill. We were stunned that he would even request it, nevermind send a young lady to to ask, clearly embarrassed, we gave her 2p, and the message that the manager should have come himself, rather than embarrass the young lady. We gathered our belongings and headed to the door only to be greeted by Bomba angrily walking down the walk way shouting "which one said it". He was greeted by myself who promptly responded that it was myself. Bomba's mumbles were fortunately incomprehensible but his body language was aggressive as he attempted to threaten and square up to me. We'd gone for a pleasant meal, ended with stupidity and really shocking behaviour from staff members.

Came here for the first time with my wife for my Birthday. My wife had the Surf & Turf tray and i had the BBQ meat tray, both meals had good portions and well cooked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will return when next in the area and recommend to anyone.

Fourth & final visit here. Good food as always, however each time the experience here has gotten progressively worse each time. The portions are getting smaller. The service is now almost non existent. They don’t care about you once you’ve ordered your meal. Meaning you have to wait 20 minutes for “unlimited” chips - which hardly makes them that! Finding any staff member to help you if want to get another drink or some “unlimited” chips was painful, always an excuse of how busy they were and would return by the time you have finished your meal. Maybe hire some more staff in peak times, considering booking a meal is kind of required in peak times if you want to go, meaning you have knowledge of customer numbers? Charge you extra at the time of bill, for something we were told at ordering was a free upgrade. Gave up trying to order desserts in the end. Took over 20 minutes to pay, numerous issues with card machine. Awful experience, really gone downhill. Won’t be retuning here.

Where to start… We are from out of town and both my wife and I love a good steak. We didn’t have a booking but they fitted us in and the staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a great vibe. We shared the tomahawk steak which was cooked to perfection and the chips cooked in beef fat are amazing. Also very good value for money compared to other similar restaurants. Drinks reasonably priced, food good value…seriously check this place out if you like steak and ignore the idiots who post negative comments.

Steak was Perfect cooked medium rare, and blue cheese sauce was amazing and the fried mushrooms also beef dripping chips, 😋

Very good food and amazing service

Firstly, if we could give half stars then this would have been a 4.5* rating as it was so near perfect. This was our first visit and we visited for our ‘date night’. We were not disappointed and would return. Positives: - Reasonable price for the food and the current cost of things. We spent around £80 (plus voluntary tip) for 2 people and had so much food that we were given a take away box to take home what we couldn’t finish along with several cocktails and beers. - Food was tasty and mainly cooked great. We ordered the huge Greedy Cow sharing platter for 2 as we wanted to get an overall feel for the food served here. The chips were delightful, the pork belly ribs melted in our mouths, the nachos had a nice kick of chilli to them and the sausage had a lovely flavour. - Waitstaff were very kind, hard working and efficient. The restaurant was busy and yet we were served promptly with all our ad-hoc requests fulfilled. - There was a nice hub of activity which made the place feel ‘alive’. So many restaurants are empty and quiet now which is not our vibe (to 30 somethings). There was a slightly rowdy table of 6 ‘older’ customers next to us which occasionally caused us to stop our own conversation as we could hear them better than ourselves but they were not disruptive and it was just a nice busy atmosphere. Just something to be aware of if you were wanting a quiet romantic meal. Negatives: - This night only cash was accepted which was a bit of a pain but there were signs up and we were informed by staff on arrival. The cash machine was close by so not too much of an inconvenience but non-the-less it was still a bit unexpected. - Our chicken skewers were overcooked. There was no escaping the fact that they were chewy and tough. We didn’t complain though as it was only such a small part of the meal and everything else was lovely. Plus, I would rather have overcooked then undercooked chicken served to me!

The steaks wre excellent and the atmosphere was good.

Had driven a fair distance back to Mold, and it was getting late. So we looked online and found Just Steak. Online, it said open till midnight. We walked in about 9.15 and asked for a table, we were told last table is 8.30. I can't tell you if there are any other services at that time as none were offered

Fantastic food, some of the best steak I've had, lovely chips and they are unlimited as well, plus staff were very friendly and cheerful and happy to help with any questions we had, will be visiting again.

Excellent service and excellent quality of food .

I'm dissapointed this time. Had a 12oz sirloin which was dry aged. It was way too dry and extremely tough and very tasteless. I couldn't even finish it. 😔 Staff and service were great, though. 😊

What a fantastic restaurant. Service excellent and food fantastic. They are a steak house and stick to their core offering which is refreshing. Delighted that they also offered a vegetarian alternative. Would be great if they added vegetable sides. An excellent family meal out but quite expensive.

We booked for our anniversary and thought this was a rustic high quality restaurant , especially given the prices. We turned up to a locked door and had to wait outside in the rain for 20 minutes even though online it stated the restaurant was open. The outside of the restaurant looked awful and the door had dirty tissues stuffed in it keeping it covered and the door was falling apart. We tried to ring but no one answered and it appeared the phones were disconnected. they eventually opened up and we were sat down at the most disgusting table. It hadn’t been cleaned and had bits of food, sauce and drinks on from another guest. There was food on the floor it was extremely dirty inside. Given the huge price tag I really think having a clean environment is a bare minimum

Visited for family birthday. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic . Nice touch bringing out a mini cake with sparkler for my sons 16th i had mentioned on the booking it was a birthday meal but had not reminded staff😊

Starters were lovely, steaks not so much, all 5 had the bullet steak, normally bullet steaks are different, these were all uniform, which was strange. 3 asked for medium rare, 2 for medium. All 5 were well done, when we complained all we got was, "I thought they were well done when we brought them over, I'll let the chef know" We took a bit steak home for the dog, u would expect to have to cut the steak up into chunks, this wasn't, we were able to pull the meat apart like burger meat. We use to love Just Steak and was our go to place, unfortunately we won't come back. Especially after spending over £200 for food of that quality.

Friendly staff amazing food and cocktails would definitely recommend and I can't wait for my next visit they really do have a passion for steak

2nd visit visit for us, we returned because my son enjoys the streak. We had the share platter and found on both occasions the butt ends very dry so wouldn’t order them. My son and I had the aged ribeye the meat was flavoursome but quite tuff which was a shame. Pepper sauce is great as were the endless chips The service was a bit slow with the waitress returning after forgetting what she asked us and even when we asked for the bill more than twice we still waited 20 minutes to pay which is annoying when you see people eating,finish,pay and then leave,

Food was ok,steak was brilliant apart from the fact that it was to salty,the chips were nothing special,service was good,we had starters that was good,but it seems that they couldn't wait to clear the table before the mains came.

I really enjoyed my Denver Steak Cut, cooked to perfection and the side of Melted Gooey Blue Cheese, I used for a Sauce instead, it was absolute pure heaven. Pepper Sauce that came with it was no the best, bland and watery, the Just Steak Chilli Reaper, was really nice, but couldn’t stop with the Blue Cheese. I added the beef Brisket to my steak too, that was delicious. However my Partner ordered the Ravenous Piggy Tray, but got something else, a lot of boney meat, burnt steak ends, that were rock hard too, Chicken Wings, what looked like Chicken thighs and was very disappointed. He hates bones. He was so hungry he didn’t want to say, but wish he had later. Think Piggy should be all pork, Birdie should be all Bird and Hungry Cow should be all Cow really. Staff were great, really attentive and polite. No light in the ladies loos and could hardly get in, in the pitched black with crutches. I just had a hip replacement, so tried to use the disabled, but men, it was the men’s/disabled. Men are disgusting and there was wee all over the seat and floor. You should probably consider swapping them round and putting the ladies with the disabled 😩

Never been before but went for my birthday and very impressed. The food was excellent , well cooked and service was very good. Many thanks for the complimentary little birthday cake 🍰 as well which finishes the meal off.

What a great meal. Steaks and other meats are cooked to perfection and the unlimited deef dripping chips are lovely and crispy. This is a restaurant that knows what it's doing. Wonderful staff. Keep up the great work.

Great food great steaks but take a torch to read the menu under some worn-out plastic in the table, hard to read and no pictures new hand menu's please, as for desert make sure you have a smart phone that will read the QR code as that's the only option other than having it read out to you by the staff, add deserts to the new menu's and they will fly out of the kitchen,we didn't bother with dessert as nothing tempted us the description of them was more boring than tempting, revamp the design of the menus and profits will soar

Booked online, put card details in, website said see you at the restaurant. Got to the restaurant, our booking wasn’t on their system. The manager did not care. She was SO rude, horrible horrible attitude, not once apologised for THEIR website being faulty. Won’t be going back.

My husband and I, both had bullet steaks, and they were absolutely gorgeous, cooked perfectly as always. Staff are so polite and on the go constantly. I did ask for tea for one, and was expecting a little teapot, but I had a teabag in hot water, in a small cup and that was over £2, which I thought was a slightly expensive teabag. But saying that, we will definitely be returning for the excellent food.

Been here a few times and had issues with the booking system but staff were always friendly and still managed to squeeze us in. Tonight we had booked a table for 8.30 got there and the system didn’t have our names on. Manager who was on tonight a women was so rude to us blunt and ignorant it has put us of ever going here again. I would never employ a manager who has no customer service she turned us down and sent us away despite there being plenty of empty tables she could of fitted us on to

Love Just Steak!! We can't get enough of their delicious beef dripping chips and mouthwatering steaks, which are cooked to perfection every time. The range of steaks available is fantastic. You can definitely find something to suit everyone's tastes for very reasonable prices. The quality of the produce is outstanding and locally sourced!!

The place was a let down from the start, the toilets were filthy. Then the food came, my fillet steak which was meant to be medium was very well done, I struggled to cut through it with the steak knife. 2 of the group had the sharing tray the greedy cow, everything was over cooked, tough and chewy. All in all a poor time had by all, was possibly the worst steak we’ve ever had.

Went with my 2 sons and their mum to enjoy mothers day. Were having a lovely time until we were told we needed to leave in 15 minutes as the table had another booking. At this time we had only just ordered deserts. We had arrived for our booked time of 12.45 and the booking reservation advised that parties of 4 are allowed 2 hours 20 minutes - but we were only being given 2 hours. The only answer the manager had was that he would have to take this up with the owner. It all went downhill quickly and he was quite happy for us to cancel our deserts and pay and leave. The whole episode was a farce and could have been resolved by the manager so easily. All he had to say was that he would take it up with the owner. He couldn’t admit their error despite being shown their own email. All he had to do was apologise, maybe offer the deserts for free and allow us to stay longer! - none of this happened and spoiled a really good afternoon. I can’t believe their time policy is so brutally enforced, especially when we were spending so much there. A sad ending indeed.

Ordered the tomahawk was told it would take 45 to 50 minutes so the waiter said as you are having starters we wouldn’t notice the want came it was over done but we didn’t say anything we ordered pudding after five minutes the waitress came back said we only have fifteen minutes to eat and leave after asking the staff about table time there table time is different to the website PLEASE don’t sell the tomahawk steak for £60 pounds if you don’t have time to eat it and have time for pudding or tell the manager not to give us a dessert menus if we don’t have time to order and eat them we will not ever come again £200 pounds down the drain the manager had managing skills what so ever

Food was great for me, I ordered the bullet steak. My boyfriend ordered the sirloin and it was ok. The chips were amazing as was the peppercorn sauce. The staff were lovely as was the upstairs where we sat. Would definitely go back.

I cannot even start to explain this place. Service was excellent. You can see why you need to book this place. if you are a meat eater then this place is a must. No "salt bae" shenanigans here just amazing food. Try the boneless ribs as a starter and the sirloin i would recommend medium rare. Cooked to perfection!!

The only thing the manager had to say was, 'We can only apologise!' There was no mention of the group when we booked or on our arrival and it ruined what was supposed to be a memorable occasion. It will be, for all the wrong reasons!

Christmas works meal, the food was amazing. I ordered the duo burger 18.50 it was amazing the beef burger was cook to perfection was tasty and juicy and the chicken was tender it was served with chips again very tasty, the rest of the party enjoyed there food from steak to chicken and sharing platters everyone enjoyed, the cocktails were nice and a variety of puddings - only suggestion I would have to speed things up with big party maybe a drinks bundle - will defo return and have already recommended to family

I came to just steak today for lunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. It’s not the first time we’ve been and it certainly won’t be the last! The food was as always amazing 🤩 the service warm and friendly and the restaurants atmosphere was happy and relaxed. We ordered the sharing meat platter for starters which came with three delicious dips and was an absolute treat. For mains we ordered off the very reasonable lunch menu. I had the Alabama chicken burger and my husband had the steak. It’s was so delicious and the meat was cooked perfectly, the chips are cooked in beef dripping and were absolutely gorgeous. It was a perfect lunch and we can’t wait to come back. My husband said “This food makes me happy..” Thank you just steak x

Stunning food, amazing staff, beautiful setting! 100% recommended and 100% will return!

For a restaurant that specialises in steak, they hide the poor quality meat by slicing their steaks for serving. Their excuse is that a steak must be cut along the grain so it’s not tough. Utter rubbish, a good quality steak is never tough cooked correctly. I would not recommend and will not be going again.

If you want a good quality steak then this is your place. Don’t read nonsense reviews about they serve the steak cut up. They do for the bavette not a fillet or tomahawk. Make sure you book in advance as always busy.

Went to the Mold branch mid week and had lunch - had one of their steak specials of the day - absolutely lovely, can highly recommend

For my birthday meal my boyfriend booked us to eat here. The service was fantastic, really friendly attentive people who were happy to share their best picks of the menu. I had an espresso martini and lemon sherbert for my cocktails of choice - delightful! The garlic bread to start was unreal so full of garlic and really fresh bread. The burnt ends with the most amazing bbq sauce! I had the burger with steak and chicken on, you must try the chips they are something else! My boyfriend likes his steak "blue" and they didn't disappoint. Our thanks and compliments to the chef, bar staff and lovely waiters, truly made my birthday meal special.

The food was absolutely amazing, the steak was so moist and cooked perfectly and the bbq platter that I had was so great, I had to take some food home and the chicken wigs oh my god so good.

Ordered the steak box dine in for 2, 1st order didn't arrive due to dispatch issues, order sent out again at a post office on receipt of order missing frites and steak fries and seems they have included cheap fast food fries... Communication very poor often not receiving responses for ages therefore had to force the issue.. This was the second time ordering from them the first time I did again didn't turn up yes I was refunded but an abysmal customer experience. Businesses don't improve by being extremely sorry, it's by improving their service and clearly this company will not improve Havent commented on quality of product as the "experience" is ruined now due to all the leg work I've had to do on this companies behalf, would've been quicker killing the cow myself... If you are gonna offer delivery meat boxes actually do it properly and reply to texts in a timely manner Will never buy from here again, you've lost a customer that wouldve bought every other week from you and wouldve made a fortune out of me I'll go to another meat box delivery company that is actually reliable and competent

Best steak in Wales, no question!

We a got a platter and it was really disappointing the chicken wings was plain tasted plane and a proper low quality of meat with no flavour the pit beans was that tangy because of the amount of bbq sauce in them it felt like I was getting heart burn as I was eating it the sausage was plain the chips tasted like they where from a bad chippy for my first experience there it was really disappointing and was a really bad value for the price we paid

This was our first time coming to Just Steak. We came on a Tuesday evening. The choice of food on the menu was really good and hard to choose from. We both went a steak, one off the menu and one of the specials, and they were both really nice, we also had the gooey blue cheese sauce, which is a must. It's a small restaurant but it had a good vibe about it and the staff were friendly. Good choice of desserts as well. We would go again and try something else off the menu.

We visited Thursday lunch time and Martin looked after us. He was so lovely and friendly from the start explaining the menu as we hadn't been before. He really went out of his way to make us welcome, also ensuring I had something I asked for as they had just run out of. The whole meal was delicious and finished off by a lovely cake for our Anniversary...very thoughtful! Thank you Martin and Just Steak we will definitely be back xx

What a lovely dining experience we had. It was a treat for my son and daughter in law for their wedding anniversary. The service was brilliant and Martin looked after us so well. He explained the menu and gave guidance and tips. The food was amazing,delicious and plentiful. Martin brought a small cake with a sparkler in it to celebrate. This was such a lovely touch. The whole experience was most enjoyable and we will definitely be returning.

I’ve just had a lovely phone call with a staff member. I called up at 15.30 on the off chance as it’s a last minute arrangement asking if there’s a table for tomorrow night (Friday) for 6 people. The man said there was only 20.15 or 20.30 available, so I said I’d ask the girls and get back in touch. The phone didn’t go down properly and I heard him say to someone else on the other phone, the following ‘How effing stupid are some people, I have 184 for tomorrow night and she’s effing asking for a table for 6 for a effing Friday night, how effing stupid’ I’ll have you know, I come often and I always pass on a recommendation to many as well as tagging you on Facebook which ultimately gives you far too many customers… obviously! I mean who complains about being busy? A little ‘sorry we have no space’ would be enough and be grateful you have customers, not like a few years ago when you had a bad food hygiene rating and everyone was put off!
