Fantastic food. The lunch menu is great value. Food gets better every time I visit

Stopped here for the second time in a few weeks. Service was helpful and friendly. There is a good range to choose from. Both times our food was first class and cooked fresh. I would recommend this place. Have the chicken and ribs if you’re really hungry, you will not be disappointed.

Staff were lovely enough but steak was overdone and fries were drastically over-seasoned so much that they were bitter and powdery and toilet not suitable so had to pop back and change baby in the car. Overall not the best experience so won’t be going back.

Have been multiple times in the last 18 months, fantastic food, friendly staff, and at a reasonable price. The building is quite small but it's not a problem for us. Would recommend.

Off there was any criticism it would be that the place was a bit cold so we had to sit with our coats on, but the delicious food and great friendly service more than made up for it. Will visit again and definitely recommend.

The food is amazing at deadwood smoke house, and the staff are great. Only down side is its a really small place with limited seating, so feels a bit cramped. They also do take away food so will try this next time.

well, wanted to try here for yrs, so me and the lad did tonight. Really wasnt anything special at all, in fact quite disappointing. had wings and burnt ends to start, wings were well over cooked! had 1 wing left and seen our mains sittings on the kitchen window ready to be brought over! chips were wrong type when brought over so quickly rectified with over cooked chips that were refried. had the whole staff chatting away behind counter and the chef with his head in his hands,bored or tired! only saving grace was 25% off on a monday.. sat down,ate starter and main,paid bill all in 1hr! so all in all, nothing special im afraid....just rushed on a quiet night.

This is a restaurant with a warm cosy atmosphere in the town centre.its not a big space but it doesn’t feel crowded even when full as it was when we visited as a group of 3. Beer was good and the Malbec wine was very pleasant. The food was excellent and extremely plentiful to say the least! We had 2 starters… superb nachos and a chicken dish. Then we had the sharing platter that is for 2 between the 3 of us and had enough of the beautifully cooked meat left that would feed another 2 people. I think the value for money and the food quality and quantity is excellent.we are good eaters and glad we listened to the owners advice about ordering . A popular and very pleasant evening experience that I would recommend to anyone (that is hungry)

Food tasted nice but some of it was on the cold side. Slow service but the place was busy and also catering for takeaway food too so understandable and staff were apologetic for this. A bit off-putting that they keep the takeaway food by the sink in the bathroom while it’s waiting to be collected by the delivery person 😳

Wow what can I say the food absolutely unbelievable by far the best smoke house I've been too. The amount flavour and quality is unreal and out of all honesty the price is decent. The staff are fantastic nothing is too much an brilliant humour. Thank you so much we'll definitely be back ☺️

Had meal with my son and wife , could smell any nice food cooking like you would in a steak house , just an ordinary side cafe sort of atmosphere asked for medium steak but came out very pink with no taste to it ,and very overpriced for what was served.

Ordered through Deliveroo and almost all the food went into the bin. Chicken strips were soggy, Cuban sandwich was burnt, dry and missing fillings. Mac and cheese didn’t taste of anything but soggy pasta (definitely no cheese!) Food resembled nothing like the photos on other reviews and I feel cheated out of £28.97 (Deliveroo refunded the £13.99 for the sandwich)

First time going, and myself and my partner had the sharing platter. The brisket in particular was perfect. It was amazing, but we couldn't finish it so came away with goodie boxes. Great food, great service, thank you

Lovely little place, we made a booking for 5pm and arrived 10 min before but our table wasn't free, which is fine. We had taken a seat at another table to look at the menu. The gent advised us that they are running behind due to a chef walking out (maybe in the future say, we are a chef down today as walking sounds very off-putting) I heard the gent advise that the next people are here but they were still finishing off their food, felt a bit sorry for them! Eventually, we moved over to the bigger table as we needed space for our young toddler. We ordered the food, burgers and ribs, and 1/2 chicken, and only the ribs came out and missed the chicken. They sorted out the mistake quickly, which was no problem. The food was amazing and plentiful. Burgers were delicious, and starters were spot on, too. They had to box the food up for me as I couldn't finish it. I had it the next day, which still tasted super nice and fell off the bone. I only marked it down due to the management side of things. We originally booked a table for 5.15pm, but they asked to move to 5pm, which we accommodated, but in the end, we had to wait until after 5 pm to get the table. Maybe advise customers how long you get your table for so they don't get asked to hurry up as the next guests are waiting. There was a big gap on waiting on our mains and we noticed table across us arrived much later then us and they got served their mains which was a bit annoying as my toddler was getting cranky as he was hungry and tired by then. But in the light of things I would recommend this place hopefully the service may improve and the staff will come up with a better system to move forward in the new year. The lady with blond hair was lovely to my son, and she seemed to care a lot in what she did.

Loved it, my friends and I grabbed the Tuesday deal of unlimited chicken wings which was great paired up with the atlantic pale ale! The staff were very friendly and the prices were affordable.

Lovely, friendly staff and great food. Had the burnt ends in JD sauce for starters and they were amazing! The lunch menu is a decent price and for the size it’s quite a bargain. Loved the food so much we went back the next day to try more offerings. Highly recommended

As always our food at Deadwood was absolutely amazing. I always love trying new things and enjoyed the hot honey halloumi! Thanks to the staff for always making us feel so welcome and being so accommodating. Our (nearly) 3 year old was having an absolute blast and ate all his dinner (an absolute miracle!)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Deadwood Smokehouse, and I was thoroughly impressed. Ordered a delivery via Uber eats back end of October and specified a dietary requirement of no cheese on one of the burgers. There was an option to note on the item and overall order, so I did both to be sure, as always have issues. Not only did it come with cheese (looked like extra), it took over 2 hours to get here. I understand the delivery aspect is out of their control, however, the dietary notes are not. I rang and informed them and the chef assured the gentleman on the phone it wasn’t on there and asked am I sure it’s not sauce. I then sent them pictures and they said I had to go through Uber to get a refund. Uber stated they couldn’t give me a refund at this time and will pass on concerns. Stated it wasn’t good enough and that it was lucky i check before hand, but again, they didn’t care. I’d of been unwell and in severe pain for days, possibly even weeks with a delightful hospital trip if I hadn’t, but the chef was certain he hadn’t put it on, so everything would have been fine 😅😒

Had an excellent meal for 6 of us. There were two groups of 6 in at the same time so it was a little bit difficult for the chef. However, the food was excellent. Both meat and vegetarian options were enjoyed by everyone. I would recommend and would go again.

Brisket £19,was terrible, dry and reheated. I had bill knock off £13,this was one positive thing. Never again

The place itself is dirty, dark and dingy. Dust everywhere and food and crumbs on the chair. I ordered quesadillas and they came smothered in BBQ, however this wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Otherwise the food was pretty bland. I won’t be returning.

Fantastic food! We went with our bikes, the service was fantastic. The totopos…Super tasty! Quesadillas… Superb! Burger… Fantastic size to have some starters with! Amazing service! We can’t ask for more! We will come back!

Been many times and food is always at a high standard; during this visit, it was good however the bacon on our burger was overcooked so didn’t get eaten and the patty was dry, disappointingly. Hopefully just a one off as my ribs were great. Service was good and very attentive, waiting time was low considering being a busy evening. Menus physically need changing - at least ours did, they’re battered and sticky, the menu choice however is spot on which is the main thing. Could have been a 3 star visit, but the points were minor, it’s just hard to let it slip when you spending a lot of money.

In 40 plus years I've not had a burger that tastes as good as this place, I've had the Monster and the Diablo and no other burger can compete, perfection. The service and food here is the best.

We ordered a takeaway yesterday and the food was cold. My members of the family has now have food poisoning from eating chicken, upset stomach. So we won't be eating from there anymore. So a warning people be carefully what you order from there. The owner and chefs needs to do food safety check course.

Seren, the welsh word for star and she was! We as a table of 4 (2 of which are in hospitality) are really impressed with her front of house skills. The food was AMAZING. Try the cajun mayo, they should bottle it! Cannot fault anything. If you haven't been here. Go, you won't be disappointed!

This is the second time we have been here, and if possible it was even better this time. The staff really make you feel at home. Great place would highly recommend.

From booking our table over the phone to the warm welcome we received from the staff, particularly our servers, Seren and Theo, our experience was first class. The menu provided lots of choice for all tastes and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Had a takeaway from here tonight, I arrived 10 minutes early and my food was ready to go. Came from deeside to mold on a whim because I was craving a burger and I wasn't disappointed. Staff were great, and I was impressed with the cosy little restaurant waiting for my food. I wanted to drive back for seconds 🤤. The burnt end nachos were something else! Only criticism would be would to be get some stronger bags, the handle snapped walking back to my car and nearly lost the food to the tarmac 😂 We'll be back without a doubt and thanks for my decadent dinner 👍

Husband and son had a "father/son meal out" on Kids eat free for summer. Both said food was incredible- flavourful and plenty of it.

Excellent service from Seren and Ella last night. Couldn't have been better! Professional but very friendly too, they made it an evening to remember with our friends who were over for the night, delicious food too! We will be back!

Really great food. Better than Hickorys. Staff were brilliant and the food was on the table really quick after ordering. Only criticism is cans of coke were poured into a pint glass with ice in such a way that it was completely flat when it got to the table. Easily fixed by tilting and slowing the pour.

Really really disappointing visit today. I booked myself and my partner a table for Father’s Day, we have a 4 month old so it’s my partners first Father’s Day. I specified on the booking that the baby will be in a pram so will need room, it’s a very small restaurant so wanted to make sure they could accommodate. Arrived for our booking and they had put us on a table which meant there were no room for the pram or even just the car seat on its own and long story short we had to leave as the other tables were booked. There was just a young lad working who had no idea what to do it wasn’t his fault at all and he apologised but no management came to help him or apologise. He said the note was on the booking but this is the table we were allocated. A special day dampened, we won’t be returning.

What has happened to this place? It used to be brilliant. The last time we came here the sharer platter was terrible! The brisket was like leather. We then ordered dessert, only to be told "time was a bit tight so we will have to eat it quickly" as the table was booked for another family. We ordered the same as we have on previous occasions and had never been rushed like that. Reply to the Manager, Thank you for your reply, please let me make a few things clear. Firstly, there was 4 of us, not 2. I dont know how you came to that conclusion. Second, every time I have eaten at Deadwood, I have always checked in on Facebook, posted pictures, and told everybody who would listen how nice the food was. On the back of them positive reviews, I know of at least 3 families who have visited. Who knows, maybe more friends have visited and I'm not aware. Regarding the brisket that was like leather. This came on the sharing platter. Obviously, there's plenty of other things to enjoy, so I'm not going to send anything back. I was just disappointed as this was my favourite part of the platter. Any decent chef would know that meat was not meant to be that dry. I understand you run a business, and are trying to make a living, but when I'm spending over £100 on starters, mains and puddings for me and my family, I don't expect to be treated like that.

Recommended by friends who have said the food is better than Hickories and less expensive - couldn’t agree more with their recommendation. I had the half chicken and ribs with the jalapeño sauce and my wife had the chicken waffle burger, both absolutely amazing.

Nice cosy place with friendly staff . Some of the food was nice exept the burgers on the deadwood was very dry,no flavour and deffintly not smoked . I'd like to see juicy burgers with lots of flavours like the mc Donald burger

Well. The first thing I ordered was unavailable and the second thing I ordered was unavailable, no worries that happens, so I decided on the beef ribs which I have never had in my life so I asked “are they fatty? as I can not eat fat” “if they are the chef will cut it off” “thank you that would be lovely” I said. When it came it was fat fat fat, so sad. Unfortunately the staff were all young with no responsible adult to watch over them, they were eating behind the counter. The thing that made me sad was when I said to the waitress about the fact I’d asked her “is it fatty” when she was returning it the other staff behind the counter were pulling faces and smirking so I knew exactly what they were doing, they should have been discreet and at least dissed me in the back where I couldn’t see them. There were so many other dissapointing ocurrances. And all because they are cheep to employ. Shame on you deadwood kids need supervising. Would I come again only if I knew there was an adult in charge.

Food was bland and portions unreasonable small. I ordered BBQ pulled pork Quesadillas. Mine came out first and I'd ate the lot before they finished bringing everyones food out. Hardly any pulled pork in them at all and few peices of sweetcorn, what a joke. Mac and cheese side was served cold and mushy. Feel ripped off, won't be returning.

Absolutely tremendous food! Don't normally leave reviews, but me and my boyfriend were so blown away by the meal and the service I feel compelled! My steak was cooked just to my liking, The bbq glaze on the chicken was out of this world, seasoned fries were to die for and the friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. Some very talented chefs at this place. Highly recommended, gorgeous little eaterie. We've already booked to go back! Thanks again for an epic meal out!

First time visiting here and very disappointed told after ordering that they had ran out of some of the items we had ordered , the actually quality and portion sizes of the dishes was very poor and overpriced, won’t be returning also the seating needs attention, ripped seating with tape on .

We had a very very nice dinner at Deadwood Mold this week. There were five of us, ordered starters which were amazing, then a mix of burgers and ribs followed by dessert. The food was amazing, and the service was great. This was our first visit since this restaurant opened years ago but we will be definitely going back asap!!

Amazing..pre-booked a table which was ready at the time, great waitress took drinks order and food order at the same time, as we knew what we wanted. Food was fantastic, i had the beef long rib and my wife had rump steak, both were tasty and cooked to absolute perfection, even the chips were spot on. Everything was seasoned to perfection, we told the waitress we found the food exceptional, she informed us that they have a new chef, who is only 16. Well he certainly has a great future ahead of him, that was the best meal we have had for a long time. We will definitely be going back.

Great atmosphere and music. Waitresses were lovely and attentive. Chef clearly had very high standards as the food was amazing. Even got some in house entertainment with another table eating the death sauce wings which gave us a good laugh. If we’re ever in this part of the uk we’ll definitely revisit.

Delicious food, amazing fries... Lots of choices. Got abit of my order mixed up but it's wasn't a problem. Sadly they don't do the milkshakes no more they told me. The restaurant is small but cosy. I was happy to see a sanitary basket in the women's bathroom with essentials in.

2 stars - Great food, but if you are not a white British you can expect poor service I visited Deadwood Smokehouse Mold yesterday with my wife, and we paid £76 for both of us. While the food was awesome and the kitchen staff really tried their best, the service was disappointing. 1) Despite having made a reservation, we were not greeted upon arrival - blonde lady from service seen us, but ignored us with stone cold look. After uncomfortable waiting for some time, we decided to seat ourselves. 2) We did not receive menus and had to ask for them. 3) When our food arrived, we realized we had not been given forks. We tried to get the attention of the service staff, but they ignored us for several minutes. Eventually, a member of the kitchen staff noticed us waving and helped us get forks, but by then, our dishes were no longer hot. 4) The staff asked the white British guests _a few times_ if they were happy with their meals but ignored us and did not ask if we were satisfied, which made us feel unwelcome. 5) I thought that perhaps the staff was overworked and not intentionally ignoring us, so I wanted to leave a tip. Usually, I receive the bill so I can leave a tip. However, I was not given a bill; instead, a gentleman simply brought the payment machine and not showed how much I should pay. I asked him to show me the amount first and asked for a bill. Gentleman said he would print it out, but he only gave me the credit card receipt. I explained that I wanted an itemized bill. He hadn't had a clue what I am talking about. I patently explained that a itemized bill is a piece of paper with the price for each item and the total sum, not just the credit card receipt. He seemed confused about my request, but I eventually received the itemized bill. It's also worth noting that the staff smiled and offered further assistance to the British guests around us, while we were met with somber faces, as if someone had died minutes ago. Nobody asked if we needed anything else, and at that point, I didn't bother asking for more drinks, even though I had wanted to purchase them. This was our third visit to Deadwood Smokehouse Mold. The food has always been good (the kitchen staff really tries hard!), but since the staff changed, it may not be the best place if you're not white british. They will make you feel unwelcome, even if you will spend a significant amount.
