Lle Hari at The Meadowsweet Hotel

Gower, Conwy
18/12/2018: We hqd heard great things about this place and were not disappointed.
28/10/2018: Cooked fresh, delicious blue burger with all you can eat fries!! Husband fancied the cushion of welsh lamb but at £22 I told him it was too pricey- he had hunters chicken instead and loved it.

Drovers Arms

Llandyrnog, Denbighshire
02/11/2018: Good atmosphere. Friendly staff Good service Reasonably priced quality food Recommend by all the family
28/10/2018: Called a hour before we were hoping to visit on a Saturday night. Friendly staff who said no problems and they could accommodate our sons special needs buggy. The pub itself is full of character, warm and cosy without being cramped. Service was perfect, food was really lovely, especially the cheesecake! The perfect pub!

Hickory's Smokehouse

Llandrillo yn Rhos, Conwy
13/12/2018: My wife and I were taken to this restaurant as a surprise by my 40 yr old son when he told us where he was taking us I was quite apprehensive as I thought due to our ages wer'e both retired it was a place for young people.
12/12/2018: Generally we just turn up because we can't be bothered to cook. Never been turned away and the service and food is always good. I'd recommend

The Palomino Bar and Restaurant

Connah's Quay South, Flintshire
01/12/2018: Outstanding carvery with delightful staff. Jo the manager was a delight. The Carvery was the best I've ever eaten ( yes really !!) The meat tender, the veg fresh and great service and ambiance.
24/11/2018: I have eaten at GT's many times and the good is always superb, but our visit on 22/11/18 was brilliant and that was due to Gaz he was excellent, funny, good banter with the children and adults and very attentive.

Harveys New York Bar and Grill

Gogarth, Conwy
01/11/2018: Lovely evening with my friends, I had the hanging skewers which looked really nice, but the meat was just misshapes from the stakes, which was really chewy. Also, my fries came luke warm. However, my friends enjoyed their meals, up to one point, when we felt rushed by the staff, even it wasn’t even 9 o’clock yet. They started to clean around, even if quite a lot of people still around...
29/10/2018: I went in with my mum and we had a meat free platter which consisted of potato skins with mainly raw onion on, massive door stop bread with cheese and wraps with tomato and jalapeños. It was very underwhelming. The young girl who served us said she’d take it off the bill as we hadn’t eaten much. The manager then came over and said well I’m not taking it off the bill I’ll do it half price as it’s not fair. He had a terrible attitude! He then went and had a go at her in front of the customers! Just a horrible place with a very stuck up manager who needs to be fired. Will not be going again absolute joke

Route 66 Diner

Towyn, Conwy
16/09/2018: We have been a few times now and we are never disappointed, they also allowed our dog to come in with us. The burgers are really lovely and the portions are big. Good atmosphere. I would highly recommend a visit, and I will definately be returning. Thank you.
11/09/2018: All 8 of us had various snacks on a day out. It was reasonably priced and lovely staff. The food was great

Time Cafe Bar

Conwy, Conwy, <20£
27/08/2018: Ok looks good ,smells nice ,surly staff ,presentation average cleanliness average . Menu boring , food variable i swear the jacket potatoe was a Frozen Mccain one . Coffee was nice ,all in all over priced and just a bit disappointing .
25/07/2018: Popped in for the first time here and so glad we did. One of the nicest coffee had in very long while! Lovely laid out inside and great selection on menu. It;s very popular and you'll see why. Nice friendly staff, and lovely cakes.....what more can u ask for!

Harvey's New York Bar & Grill

Rhuddlan, Denbighshire
03/12/2018: We had family staying so we thought to try out Harveys. What an amazing place to eat! The food was fabulous including the pizza for our vegetarian. The staff are really lovely and helped make our meal an enjoyable one.
02/12/2018: I'm very glad to say that my 500th review is a good one. We visited Harvey's today and it was very good. The place is quite large and there was plenty of room for our family on the comfy bench seating. The waitress was very good but more importantly the food was also good. A little bit on the expensive side but as the saying goes "You get what you pay for" I haven't eaten a hot dog in a restaurant for many years so this was a novel experience. I was also glad that they acknowledged my Defence Discount Card, I got a 20% discount as a veteran. Well done Harvey's

Llindir Inn

Denbigh Upper/Henllan, Denbighshire, 20-30£
12/12/2018: Very inhospitable place. We visited whilst staying locally, the host of our accommodation drinks here and contributed to making us feel very unwelcome. Food was slow (empty restaurant), poor quality, and over priced. Beer ok.
19/11/2018: Looking at the other favourable reviews, I think we must have gone on a day that the chef was ill or off! Went with 20 friends on a Saturday afternoon, pre-ordered, no-one else on the place eating. Food came out over the course of 3/4 hour with the first ones served having finished by the time the last ones were served (this doesn't include one person's whose meal hadn't even been made due to a mix up). Chips were inedible, obviously been reheated and reheated, hard as nails. I had chicken burger which I sent back as stone cold. Came back warm but so dry and the bacon so hard, I couldn't eat it. Definitely won't be going back any time soon.

Burger King

Halkyn, Flintshire
29/08/2018: I believe that the owners have been refurbishing this BK for several months now. They have all the signage up on the road and entrance, and the inside is lit up, but the place is far from ready. The new Gregg's at the same location is open from 6am until mid afternoon.
25/04/2018: My father & I popped into Burger King as we were in need of a nibble to eat on a fine spring morning. We had a very average experience overall.

Carousal Cafe

Abermaw, Gwynedd
21/11/2018: Waited nearly 40 minutes for take away and only 2 or 3 in queue ahead of us. 2 staff there and seemed so slow as they were trying to serve those sat down too. Everyone in the queue couldn’t believe it. After ordered and money taken you were also ignored and your ticket just left on the counter. We popped down from the RAOB club in a hurry and hadn’t read reviews or we’d have never come in. Seen the review about the bogey and can well believe it! My partner had to go back to play in the club before we got the food, so by the time he could eat it it was cold. My pitta bread was constantly handled by a server who had disgusting dirty finger nails, so when I got it I could only pick at the chips, it turned my stomach. Gave 2 stars as I think the food would have been edible had it not been for the stressful wait and the hygiene putting me off.
31/10/2018: we were the only people in there as it was 3pm the food was freshly cooked, table service, cheerful staff, very clean, good food. It is large must seat a hundred, has loos, clean too. Did the job for hungry people.

Porters Cove

Abersoch,Llanengan, Gwynedd, 30-45£
18/11/2018: We had a drink in the Hub first as we had booked a table at Porters Cove, hadn't realised that Porters was a bar as well as a restaurant, otherwise would have gone straight there! Lovely, clean and bright place the staff were tremendous and really helpful. They say you can tell a restaurant by the loos and these were spotless and bright. After perusing the menu and specials board we ordered the King prawns starters and sirloin steak rare to medium rare. Small mistake that the starters did not come. So I suggested that as they had brought the steaks first we could also get the starters cooked and served, whilst we tucked into the steak after all Surf and Turf is a legit dish! Sure enough they arrived very quickly. The Steak were beautifully presented with a bucket of chips, a lovely concoction of vegetables which was delicious, the pictures say it all. Steak cooked to perfection. Washed down with a delicious bottle of Pinot Grigio, followed by a full bodied large glass of Merlot The kings prawns were superb and complimented the steak beautifully. Too full for dessert, instead had a coffee by the fire and met a delightful couple. One of the chef's came out to see if everything OK which was a nice touch. The new managers also asked if all OK and were very attentive. Great value, great food, great atmosphere - will definitely go back to try some of the smoked dishes. Must be brill in the summer with the outside patio watching the goings on of Abersoch. Thank you and see you again soon.
10/11/2018: On holiday in Wales and came across this place. The inside is funky and colourful and classy.

Frankie & Benny's

Grosvenor, Wrexham, <20£
01/12/2018: I used to love F&Bs.; It was always good quality food and large portions. It always felt like a cosy Italian restaurant, Oh how it has changed! A grotty looking facia welcomes you here and the feel continues throughout. The place looks tired. Gone are the pictures of Italians enjoying good food on the menu. Probably because the food isn’t good anymore. The menu looks like it belongs in a cheap cafe. Full of cheap looking graphics. The place was half full and the service was slow. The food was very disappointing. Small portions, frozen looking food and bought in sauces. If we would have paid full price it would have been criminal. During my visit to the toilet I passed further cheap Macdonalds looking posters to the shabbiest toilet facilities I have seen in a restaurant. Here you can observe tiles hanging off the wall and treat yourself to a cold hand wash followed by a cold hand blower. The menu is vastly over priced and the sides are extortionate. £3.99 for garlic bread? Come on, really? I’ve been to Venice and not paid that. As we paid the bill and left, I walked past some very sorry looking pizzas on my way out. They were so small! Nothing here is special anymore. Now catering for the masses, ripping people off who really must not know any better. Stay clear folks. Go and find a nice pub which serves honest home cooked wholesome food. Something that this franchise used to do.
01/12/2018: Been here more than once and always thought the same “bad food” for a high price burger you can get better in McDonald’s, starters are tasteless the waiter we had was great that’s about the only good point as I said our waiters was nice but the other staff are rude and messy!!!!

Frankie & Benny's

Smithfield, Wrexham
16/12/2018: Very welcoming and great atmosphere, everything was perfect, service, friendliness and food,10/10 exactly what you need on a meal out.will be back for sure, brilliant for a works meal, portions great, and very well presented,it was the cleanest dine out I have had in Wrexham.
13/12/2018: The food was great, the drinks were delicious and the staff are bright and friendly. Fantastic place to visit

Frankie & Benny's Chester Broughton

Broughton North East, Flintshire
20/12/2018: I have visited this restaurant many times in the past but the experience my family and I had last week was appalling. We arrived for breakfast at 10:30am and we were shown to a table, with our drinks ordered being taken. A tall waitor came to take our food order at 10:40am and did this on a scrap piece of paper, however, we ordered 3 breakfasts. After this, we saw other families coming in and ordering, and somehow they all received and finished their food before ours had even come!! I asked the tall man who served us where our food was, in which he was very rude and replied "it's coming now!" without even looking at me, so I think he had forgotten to put the order through. By this time, we had finished our drinks. There was a lovely waitress who was more than kind and asked the cooks where our food was and offered to get us more drinks, in which we ordered a pepsi. By the time we got our food, it was 11:20am (40 minutes after we had ordered!!).
13/12/2018: Service was fab! Sat down as soon as we walked in, were told of a half an hour wait for food which was ok, as it was busy, so it's expected. Our order was taken within 5 minutes of sitting down, waitress was very attentive and chatty - a nice change! Don't often get chatty waiting on staff, she made time for all customers on her section seemingly. We did have to wait about 10 minutes for our milkshakes, but it was understandble as it was mega busy. Food arrived waaaay quicker than half an hour, and it was delicious! I had a cajun chicken wrap, no onions like I had asked, it was perfect! My partner had a pizza which was really greasy but otherwise tasted fine, he didn't want to make an official complaint as it was solved by dabbing a napkin on it, so not really worth wasting their time on.
