This place was hosting an illegal fox hunt on boxing day I wanted a nice meal with the family but it was utter chaos and some very unsavoury looking characters there so we drove to somewhere else. They were also blocking the roads which we tried to get through for almost half an hour , shocking !

I came here for a family meal, that wasn't very tasty, but what was absolutely tasteless was when the local fox turned up, using horrific language. We tried to leave but ended up paddling in dog poo...

Only had drinks which we had to leave, the place was full of strange characters on boxing day and it seemed to have only been catering for the hunting fraternity. The final straw was a group of self professed badger baiters that were merrily bragging about their exploits in some very course language. They were handing out eggs for some youngsters to throw at cars. Maybe a strange tradition there? We moved on before our vehicles got targeted. Avoid!

Good selection of drinks and special mention goes to the amazing homemade pizza on offer on the weekend. Beautiful old pub with great fireplace for cold evenings. I’m a keen quizzer who’s recently moved into the area. I went today expecting to have my grey cells tested in the hope of winning some promised Easter treats. Unfortunately it didn’t go ahead because there were only 2 teams in attendance. So after a quick pint with my fellow teammates, we left disappointed. On a plus note, the young barman was very pleasant and the pint was agreeable. There’s lots of potential in this pub, but promises unfortunately weren’t delivered.

An astounding find in the middle of the Welsh Hills.we were touring from Chester, through spectacular scenery on a lovely summers afternoon. No preplanning of our route allowed us to venture down tight, narrow lanes, through fern covered vistas twisting ,rising and falling towards unknown villages and hamlets. After a really pleasant stop for tea and sandwiches lane passing place, that was memorable for the total silence and peaceful aura,we continued downhill,to be greeted by the screen beaty of this stunning village in the middle of knowhere. After refreshments at this enchanting pub, built in the 13th century,we went across the lane to the wonderful church ,set on the hill opposite.the gated entrance is marvellous construction of stone timber and slate. This is a must see location that does not disappoint at all after our winding descent from Denbigh.

Huge bonus for some. Tom and Annie are very welcoming and its lovely that they take time out to acknowledge their customers on each visit. Having been recently I can say that they are doing the very best that they can within the governments guidelines. There are lots of seating areas with clear instructions marked on each table for customers to be able to place your order. Very straight forward. Well done to all at the Llindir! My wife and I stayed in the area several years ago and loved this place but it’s changed hands and now has terrible customer service. We ordered a gin and tonic and pint of IPA the land lord came out saying how he taken the Liberty to give us a double gin , and then charged us for it, making a gin and beer nearly £14! I asked for another pint of the same beer and got something completely different. Place looks shabby and it’s a shame but it was a great place several years ago.

I’ve watched the llindir slowly go downhill for the last couple of years. My last visit was the final straw for us, they are making no effort to prevent covid. We were there for an afternoon and tables weren’t wiped once. Glasses were left outside for hours, new customers had to pick up old customers glasses as every empty table was full with empties. There was one young lady behind the bar who constantly had a queue the scruffy landlord seemed to pop in for 5 minutes and out every hour or so, i heard him advise the barmaid to tell customers to bring their own glasses in as they don’t have chance to get them (then the landlord returned back upstairs ). Don’t get me wrong, yes, it is polite for people to bring their own glasses back, but for £4-£5 a pint it is certainly included in the price! The beer and cider choice was limited. Food has just started up, last time we were there it was burger, vegetarian burger or fish and chips, i know a limit menu can help it to be cooked well, but thats too limited! And things that can’t really go wrong. The llindir has so much potential and used to be a great place! Something needs to change fast otherwise its going to end up as another failed pub.

The restaurant in this thatched pub has recently re-opened. They have started off with a simple menu but I understand the quality of the food is first class.I ordered the noodles with pheasant in Hoison sin sauce. My goodness, the flavours were fantastic. A big healthy portion too. The chilli heat of the dish was just right for me but I am sure customers could ask the chef to tone it down if they don't like their food spicy hot.I will definitely be eating at the Llindir again.

We were staying in the village about 150 yards away from this pub, so it was a no brainer to visit for dinner. The beer was good, some brewed on the premises, but the food didn't match up to it. Decided to have lunch here after visiting people nearby. Our sat nav stopped giving directions shortly after we passed the Inn, so turned around and asked a helpful local who came out of the Inn to point us in the right direction. Very friendly. I called the previous evening to ask if we needed to book, and was told there was no need. By the time we got back to the Inn after our short visit it was packed with diners so a good idea to book for Sunday lunch. They found us a table so big sigh of relief. I ordered the beef, a very generous portion cooked to perfection and on the rare side. The huge Yorkshire pudding was delicious, as were the potatoes and vegetables that were just as I like them and not overcooked. My partner had the chicken, again a generous serving of meat. The service was quick and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Would certainly return if we are in that area again.

Had heard wonderful things about the food here, so with family over we thought we’d give it a try, sadly it was not up to scratch last Sunday, while the meat chosen was lovely the accompanying food was awful, veg hard portions scimpy, not much choice No carrots?? Yorkshire puddings were soggy abc not cooked, gravy watery. Then the sweet menu was even worse choice no menu just a choice of ice cream or sticky toffee pudding which would have been lovely if it had been served with the stated toffee source but it had a weird brandy source with it when we were told it would be toffee, all in all dreadful meal which we won’t repeat turned out to be an exsoebsice ad hoc meal out! Looking at the other favourable reviews, I think we must have gone on a day that the chef was ill or off! Went with 20 friends on a Saturday afternoon, pre-ordered, no-one else on the place eating. Food came out over the course of 3/4 hour with the first ones served having finished by the time the last ones were served (this doesn't include one person's whose meal hadn't even been made due to a mix up). Chips were inedible, obviously been reheated and reheated, hard as nails. I had chicken burger which I sent back as stone cold. Came back warm but so dry and the bacon so hard, I couldn't eat it. It used to be the best burger in town — well, the best burger anywhere, really — but it has gone downhill and is now more hit-and-miss than a guaranteed good burger. Worst of all are the times when the burgers have been raw inside, forcing us to put them in the microwave to finish cooking! Additionally, the butterhead lettuce is always soggy and probably shouldn’t have been included in the burger to begin with, as the heat destroys this delicate lettuce instantly.
