10/10 recommend!! Came here last night for food with my boyfriend and it was amazing. Do not be put off by the appearance of this place!! Staff were friendly especially the chef. Food is unbelievably cheap, yet large portion sizes and super tasty. Menu is huge so something for everyone. We had the Meat feast burger and the Hawaiian burger, we also got the onion rings and cheesy garlic bread which were delicious. Will definitely be coming back here!

Went for a meal with friends last night we ordered different dishes from a wide menu and we were shocked to see how tasty how the different foods tasted Amazing chicken wings loved the Greek style lamb burgers and garlic breads heavenly. The service and the ambience was excellent we will be booking another session in the restaurant again.

We had a lovely meal at Sunny's tonight. We had veggie and a gluten free diners with us and the manager was very attentive with his advice on ordering. He recommended the garlic mushrooms and they were very did not disappoint. The Mexican garlic bread was also a highlight. Burritos and fajitas were also very tasty and we enjoyed proper homemade chips. We'll go again!

A lovely, friendly and neat place. The menu had a good range of options. We were impressed to hear they had almost everything made in-house. The meal was scrumptious 😋 and the portions were filling. We enjoyed our time and meal 😉

Simply outstanding.... one of the best for eat-in's in Cardiff. We went for a family meal and found the place really inviting. Warm friendly staff and good ambience greeted us and the service was quick too. Their menu was extensive -- from English to Italian to Mexican -- the choice was many. From the taste you could tell everything was made fresh. The prices when compared to what came on the plate was the cherry on the top. Smashing!!!

I went to the place when I visited Cardiff for a couple of days this summer, I highly recommend it. The place is very simple but the menu is big, the food is homemade, very tasty and the portions are large. On the top of that the owner is super friendly and even proposed to give me some help in finding an apartment in the city. We were so pleased we actually went back the next day ! Thanks for the hospitality, I'll definitely see me again.

5* is not enough! What a little gem of a place. The food, service and price were amazing. It has an amazing selection in the menu. If your in the area it is definitely worth a visit. They also do takeaway/delivery if you want to eat the gorgeous food in the comfort of your own home. We will definitely be back again.

Sunny is the best and most welcoming chef around. He always cooks the food fresh in front of you and the food always tastes great. Every meal that I've had from Sunny has been amazing and the portions are big as well

Me and my partner came in about a week ago and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming Sunny himself was. He offered great food recommendations and I have to admit we cleared our dishes completely. I would 10 out of 10 recommend Sunnys Street food. We both look forward to eating from there again.

Myself and my partner had a takeaway from here tonight and it was outstanding! Super friendly staff and the food was cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were tender and came with home cooked chips and my veggie burrito was so flavourful and both portions we’re very generous:) Will definitely be going back!

4 of us had a very nice meal here a few weeks ago. Really friendly service and big portions for the price. They even threw in a garlic bread because of the wait (which wasn't very long!). The tacos are more like mini fajitas but they taste great all the same.

Generous portions and lots of flavour. Chips just like my nan used to majecand best I've had for years ! It looks pretty basic, think old school cafe but service and food is worth it!

I just so happened to search "restaurants near me." Sunny's came up and I saw Mexican, Italian, burger, and breakfast options--perfect for the wife who, when asked what she wants to eat, replied "it doesn't matter." I got the cowboy steak sandwich, which was a steak fajita in a ciabatta roll. Wife got a burrito. It's hard to get authentic Mexican in the UK but Sunny's nailed it. He even brought me out some spices and garlic mayo for my chips. Oh so good. He spent time talking to us, asking where we're from, and taking care of us. The whole staff went above and beyond. If this place were in my neighborhood, I'd eat there three times a week!

From the moment we walked in it was a fantastic experience. The owner was very friendly and welcoming along with the rest of the staff. Our order was taken and some UB40 playing, atmosphere was chilled. The aromas were so good, we were given a complimentary spicy flat bread with dips, then out food arrived within 20 minutes. Fresh tasty tacos with homemade chips. Would highly recommend for a great service decent price family meal 😊

First time ordering from here and I’m obsessed. The chips are so flavourful, the burgers are thick and filled with flavour and the pasta is dress and hot. Prices are very reasonable and the delivery time is accurate

WOW! What an absolutely exquisite meal! This may have been the best thing I've ever had delivered to my humble abode. Both my wrap and my partner's burger were bursting with flavours and absolutely perfect portions. Real chip shop style chips and perfectly melted cheese. But wait, I'm not over yet. The mozzarella dippers were ravished because of the immense - not greasy whatsoever - flavour! "What about the price?!" I hear you hark, well that's just the cherry on top. An incredibly fantastical price, affordable fine dining in such tough times. Thank you Sunny Street Food, you have made my year!

Amazing place to eat from very nice food

Really fresh, "homecooked" style tacos. A great change after a weekend of greasy fast food in the town centre and they were still serving at 10.30pm on a Sunday night, so its perfect after going to a gig or show (we booked a table in advance). Plus at that time of night there was a space directly outside to park. Had a really nice chat with the chef (owner?) And it was all very reasonably priced and a wide selection of dishes. We would definitely go out of our way to return next time we visit Cardiff.

The food is so good, probably used more as a takeaway but the restaurant aspect is great with really friendly staff. The value for money is unbelievable.

Sunny opened the restaurant lunch time for us as a party of 16. Every single one of us loved our chosen meal. The staff were friendly and very efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant, thank you Sunny & staff for our wonderful lunch.

Fantastic food, lovely friendly service. Definitely recommend dining in. I'll admit it doesn't look much from the outside, but you won't regret taking a seat. Staff are amazing and treat you really well. Importantly, the food lives up to the excellent reviews. Mixed grill, Yogi Taco, and Meat Feast Burgers all super tasty. Even the garlic bread was not your usual, and far outdoes anything we've had before. Great value, amazing food, and lovely customer service. Highly recommend booking a table. We will definitely be back when we're next in Cardiff.

Had family evening meal last night. Wasn't what I expected as not what I usually go for. The meal however was really nice, I had the paella and the starters were huge and tasty. They give generous portions for the price you pay. I couldn't finish my meal and brought the rest home. Really excellent value for money if you're looking for somewhere basic and simple to go to that serves a tasty meal. The downside is that it's small and appears uninviting, very basic and it was very cold inside, although the waiter did place an electric heater right next to us. The service was done by one person so there was a long wait for the food, but the waiter was so friendly, helpful and kind.

Terrible restaurant, failed to deliver via UberEATS, called to ask for a refund and they said they'd take care of it. Weeks later and it's still not resolved after multiple phone calls. Avoid!

Very nice Paneer and Halloumi Burrito. Owner was very pleasant and welcoming to talk to. Wait was only 15-20 minutes. I believe this really hits home, with the idea of fast but freshly cooked and well prepared food. Will definitely be coming back!

My first impressions was it was quite a small restaurant and no one was sat down it was just us. But honestly this was one of my greatest restaurant experiences. The host was such a great man he honestly made me so happy he was such a nice man he couldn’t do enough for us. The food was also stunning the Mexican garlic bread was amazing and the spicy cheese bites and our mains. I will 100% recommend this restaurant to all my friends and will be coming back I loved my experience here.

Love this takeaway. Me and my partner regularly order from here. The food is always cooked fresh, tastes amazing! I’m addicted to the con polo pasta and my partner always has garlic mushrooms. The pizzas are also very good. Chips are proper chip shop style, very large generous portions of food. Staff so friendly and helpful also open pretty late which is handy as it’s normally only kebab shops open. I would definitely recommend

Absolutely delicious food! I called the restaurant to customise one of my dishes in the order and the service I got was amazing. The staff are so helpful. They called me to clarify my ammendments, I was informed by the restaurant my order was just about ready to be collected and also had a follow up call to ask if my food was as I requested, which it was spot on! They use high quality ingredients in their food even down to the chips which are delicious! The garlic bread was the best I've ever had, the mushrooms were so tasty, I could eat more of them. My pasta which I customised to add more garlic and chilli was so perfect. The order came well packaged, fresh, hot and good portion size. The staff are so lovely and so happy to accommodate order ammendments. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be ordering from here again and will try some other items on the menu next time.

I had a Cowboy Steak here on Friday and it beats any Subway on the planet! Steak was very tender and onions and peppers were lovely. The roll as very soft and premium. I would definitely buy again. Worth every penny.

Ordered a beef Burrito was not good the bean some were cooked some not rice and beef was just mush was expecting Carne asada got basically chilli nachos were ok but no salsa basically doritos and no sour cream no Pico de gallo could of made better at home only good side food was ready hot and fresh

Ordered on an app and had pasta, chicken wings and Mexican garlic bread.........which was basically cheesy garlic bread with peppers on top. It was all lovely, tasted fresh and was very flavoursome. But, the Mexican garlic bread was the highlight. 😊
