Food was absolutely gorgeous, especially the very moist and seasoned burger! Love the size and texture of chips, and the staff were so so friendly and nice!

10/10 service. Felt so bad ordering so late from them at 3am but they were so sweet and called to let us know when the food was being delivered even gave us a free box of chips. The food was amazing, defintely perfect for a meal after a night out. Highly reccomend their fajitas.

We ordered from you before.. everything briliant and all.. but when we ordered the most expensive english breakfast, we got it without black puding, and the portions of beans were... otherwise the place i brilliant. wish i could write more

The sauce in the prawn cocktail seemed to have curdled. It was inedible. The spaghetti bolognese was tasteless and greasy. The garlic bread was floppy and bitter tasting. A horrid eating experience. Complete waste of money. Travesty.

Burger meat was gristly, under seasoned and overdone, and needed a sauce. The burrito was a bit sloppy, and could have used more rice. Chips were very soft and undercooked.

The quality of food was of very high standard and delicious. Good portions and the customer service was the best I have expected so far. The restaurant was a bit late, but they contacted me straight away and gave us free garlic bread for the trouble.

First time ordering and I cannot compliment them enough! The food is so flavourful with perfect sized portions. The delivery driver was also wonderful. Thank u

Chicken Tikka wrap was delicious and wil order again. Cheesy chips not as nice and wrong sort of cheese on it that congealed a bit.

Sunny’s joint is small, cosy, friendly, cheap, cheerful. Ideal for a small party. Bring your own beer. Mexican and Indian fusion? Yes! So obvious when you think about it.

Friendly service with freshly made dishes. Love the spicy sauce for the steak tacos!

I’m not one to do this but credit due where it should be shared with everyone. The food here is nothing but amazing. Had a simple carbonara and probably the best I’ve had. Simple elegant and so tasty I know il be coming for the rest of the menu. I’ve found my food place. 5 star from me. Stunning don’t tell to many people though I’d like a table in the future.

I had delivery and it was perfect, the driver was friendly and helpful. The food was delivered hot and totally delicious. I am not a chippy fan , only these chips were cooked how I liked them. The best chargrilled I have ever tasted. Highly recommend to the meat lovers. Even the pineapple ring and fried egg. I have had trouble with the app telling me when the order is ready and about to be delivered in the past and it was the same this evening. They were running alittle behind with my order and the restaurant called to tell me. I was really grateful for this. The food and the whole experience was top notch. I was very impressed with everything 👏 😋

Foolishly ordered food from here on Uber cos I woke up hungry in the middle.of the night. 2 hours later no food. Delivery time just keeps going up even though it says "food being prepared" - absolutely ruined my night. Foolish move but what a travesty in terms of Delivery.

The food here was delicious and all cooked fresh and homemade. Sunny was so warm and welcoming and it made us feel really relaxed. I booked to come for my birthday and the little touches Sunny and the team made such as a birthday balloon and party poppers on the table made it. We were allowed to bring our own alcohol to celebrate. Thank you for great food and a lovely evening. I would recommend coming here if you fancy delicious home made food and a lovely atmosphere 😁

A culinary experience like no other, Sunny’s is a hidden gem of Cardiff that is awaiting widespread popularity from the masses Sunny is as good as a host as he is a chef, a lovely attentive bloke who’s aroma of hard work and passion only adds to the experience. After been recommended by two friends, we were delighted by an excellent and very delicious lunch. The decor was a little tired, but the quality and quantity of the food was so good, it seemed Sonny had got his priorities quite right. He was a charming and most attentive host as were the rest of the staff. The cod starter was really very tasty as were all the dishes and the portions were enormous for the moderate prices. I really most highly recommended this little gem, go and enjoy a real treat. Bravo Sonny !

Came here for dinner with my friend and it was a pleasant surprise! All the food was piping hot and tasted immaculate. The host was very welcoming and really paid attention to our requests and wants. Will definitley be coming back again and 100% recommend!

Chips were oven chips not like the 'real chips' described on the menu, onion rings were so burnt they were inedible, diet coke sent instead of normal coke. Used to order from here frequently but was very disappointed this time.

10/10 recommend!! Came here last night for food with my boyfriend and it was amazing. Do not be put off by the appearance of this place!! Staff were friendly especially the chef. Food is unbelievably cheap, yet large portion sizes and super tasty. Menu is huge so something for everyone. We had the Meat feast burger and the Hawaiian burger, we also got the onion rings and cheesy garlic bread which were delicious. Will definitely be coming back here!

The most phenomenal food we have tasted in a long time! We had vegetarian foods, and none of it disappointed. The garlic mushrooms were crazy delicious! Went for a meal with friends last night we ordered different dishes from a wide menu and we were shocked to see how tasty how the different foods tasted Amazing chicken wings loved the Greek style lamb burgers and garlic breads heavenly. The service and the ambience was excellent we will be booking another session in the restaurant again.

We had a lovely meal at Sunny's tonight. We had veggie and a gluten free diners with us and the manager was very attentive with his advice on ordering. He recommended the garlic mushrooms and they were very did not disappoint. The Mexican garlic bread was also a highlight. Burritos and fajitas were also very tasty and we enjoyed proper homemade chips. We'll go again!

I ordered a vegetarian all day breakfast and a meat breakfast came. I also waited over an hour and a half for my delivery even though recommended time was 45 mins

The food was fine for the most part, except for the chicken fillet burger. I don't know what happened, but it tasted like it was fully submerged in a vat of salt, dusted off slightly then put on the burger! My wife (who ordered this) fully admits she likes salt, but this was too much even for her! Ultimately, it was inedible!

Simply outstanding.... one of the best for eat-in's in Cardiff. We went for a family meal and found the place really inviting. Warm friendly staff and good ambience greeted us and the service was quick too. Their menu was extensive -- from English to Italian to Mexican -- the choice was many. From the taste you could tell everything was made fresh. The prices when compared to what came on the plate was the cherry on the top. Smashing!!!

Great food as always ordering again

I went to the place when I visited Cardiff for a couple of days this summer, I highly recommend it. The place is very simple but the menu is big, the food is homemade, very tasty and the portions are large. On the top of that the owner is super friendly and even proposed to give me some help in finding an apartment in the city. We were so pleased we actually went back the next day ! Thanks for the hospitality, I'll definitely see me again.

5* is not enough! What a little gem of a place. The food, service and price were amazing. It has an amazing selection in the menu. If your in the area it is definitely worth a visit. They also do takeaway/delivery if you want to eat the gorgeous food in the comfort of your own home. We will definitely be back again.

Although the restaurant was apologetic, the food arrived almost an hour late and it was cold. Had to reheat in airfryer/microwave. Pasta was dry and pizza rubbery. Chicken and chips were nice once I heated up in air fryer.
