Steakout in Cardiff

The only place I go to for steak in Cardiff! Always well prepared. Yeah garlic mash and dirty fries are also fantastic

The kitchen messed up our orders but service from our waitress was very good. I didn’t much enjoy the steak itself, the garlic mash and the mushroom sauce were miles better.

The most amazing experience we've had and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Decided to visit today after driving up and down City road looking for somewhere that was a - open and b - didn't look like a dump 😳🤣 What a great decision we made choosing Steak Out! We were seated straight away despite not having a reservation on bank holiday Sunday afternoon. Service was great, drinks were lovely and the food... Was Exceptional. We had a 5 wing roulette to start, the buffalo was my favourite. I had boneless chicken thighs with a medium hot peri glaze and husband had a ribeye steak. Absolutely delicious. Came out cooked to perfection on a sizzling skillet. Hot, flavoursome and good size portions. Kids chicken strips are not battered/breaded like nuggets/goujons, they are strips of chicken breasts. Really tasty.

As a steak house what you want is great steak ..over cooked and tough fillet, burnt ribs , and flavourless t bone ...

Ordered a beefed up steak with sauce on the side, serviced the steak with buffalo sauce on top. So sent back the steak once returned they serviced a steak big as my hand asked if it was beefed up sent back again and returned with the same steak and was admitted that it was. Come here on regular never had a complained till today. Yes it was most definitely your place. We booked a table for 6pm. We had also told the employee when they was taking the payment at the end that we wasn’t happy with our food. And yes you did put buffalo sauce on the steak. If you want in you would know that you had a complaint, by your employee.

Amazing food as always, service is always 10 out of 10 here. But tonight, Sulimana and Nabz have done an amazing job looking after our party of 20 family members, they went above and beyond, were patient and made sure our orders were correct. They even bought out the birthday girls cakes for us. Honestly thank you so much from Bristol

Steak very flavourless.. I remember when it was spot on very tasty and cooked to perfection nevertheless customer service has always been great!

We took three friends for supper a few days ago. One of our guests used to be a franchised owner of a hugely successful steak house in Cape Town. It was purely on his recommendation that we ate there. My wife was very pleased with her chicken wings. One guest said that her t-bone was "ok" The fillet for the second guest was more medium to we'll done, rather than medium to rare. My son and I both ordered very rare, and were too terrible for words. They were very thin. As they were served on a sizzling platter, they arrived at the table close to medium. We quickly transferred them to plates, but the damage was irreversible. They hadn't been well trimmed, and had a lot of gristle. The chips and sauces were good, and the service was excellent. They saved this review from being one star. I'll not go back again.

The only place where I liked (partially) the mashed potatoes still not smooth enough but decent. I ordered the rib eye (340 gm) the steak was really juicy and properly cooked. I had to order medium cooked for my wife but it was perfect. Overall the service and experience was really good.

Absolutely amazing value, outstanding service, and awesome food! I have wanted to try this place for a while....our party were hugely impressed with everything! Our drinks and starters arrived quickly and were above expectations! The main courses cooked to perfection, the service brilliant and the value outstanding! Highly recommend!!! We will be BACK!!!

I've been here a few times and found it ok. This time, the stake was bland, and the chips are standard chips that you used to get at school days. You have to pay extra to get a bigger chunk of stake, which is stingy. If you're not travelling far for food, then I would recommend this place.

This is a great Restaurant to visit, excellent Service, good variety of food and above all large generoua delicious portions.

Place is good and staff are also very nice but when it comes to the food in my opinion I did not like it I hated every bit and will not be going back

I Havant had this takeout in a very long time. The food tasted 10/10 The waiter was very polite Although it was £60 for X2 starters and 2 mains. Unfortunately this left me no room to tip my very polite waiter. Must add hard parking. 4/5 x

Had an amazing meal with my friends at steakout. The food and the drinks were amazing. I ordered the Fillet steak. It was so delicious, and it had so much flavour. I also had pepper sauce with the Garlic Mash. The mojitos from steakout is a must!! I usually order the passion fruit mojito but this time I got the Lychee mojito which was recommended by one of the staffs named Jihan. And he did not disappoint! The service was amazing from the staff and the experience was great. Me and my friends had a really good time. We can’t wait to come back!!

Took literally 3 mins on the clock from when I ordered it for it to come out . Tasted rea heated and that’s probably why they put it on a hot plate to try mask how already cooked it is and not fresh . Horrible cocktails they were full of ice and wayyyy over filled (normally I don’t mind that) but when it’s spilling all over the table and making a mess it’s annoying

I recently had a disappointing experience at Steakout, a place I usually love. The service was deficient as the waiter refused to repeat my order, seemingly unable to be bothered. It's a shame when one bad encounter tarnishes an otherwise great establishment

Been a regular customer of this restaurant but recently, I had the worst experience. Ordered a steak through Uber eats and it had a small metal object in the meat that caught in my mouth whilst eating. Neither Uber Eats nor the restaurant did anything to rectify the situation after reporting the safety concern. Uber eats is shambolic with their customer service. I’ll be weary of ordering from here again.

We went there on 9th February, their environment and food quality was great but the service was quite poor, and the table was not cleaned as well, i had to clean it with a tissue paper.As it was quite busy but the staff didn't seemed very keen to take orders and kept us waiting for a short period of time for taking the order.But honestly the food was excellent and the staff needs to pay a bit of attention when a customer arrived and they allocated them in a table and forgets for short period of time!

Awesome staff and service. Will definitely be back. Felt at home straight away, food was good and they couldn't do enough to sort us out with a last minute table on a busy Saturday night.

Nice place to eat out, I asked for chef recommendation on cooking my steak he said medium, and when the steak came out it was well done. The dirty fries was really nice l, and the burgers look really nice. On the very plus side it is very good prices. Highly recommend.

Simply the best steak in town by a mile, I tried everything on the menu and you cannot go wrong in any of them.

Steakout is our family favourite and never fails to disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. My favourite is the loaded fries. Service was excellent and great singing from the guys who brought out my children’s birthday cake! Thank you! Highly recommend 👌🏽

We love this place even though its expensive..food is great . Staff are ok..when we went last time they just seemed too tired as we got there quite late 09:30pm

Can’t even make a medium to well stake came to me red raw in the middle and was told the chefs been working there 7 years and says That's how he cooks it. Also the service was horrendous when the waiter took my friends order and he turned to me and just said ‘you’ when referring to me, it’s not hard to say ‘and what would you like sir’ totally baffled and a total rubbish place

Visited this place on Saturday and I don't know what to rave about more, the fantastic staff or the amazing food! They were so courteous and attentive, especially catering to our religious needs, it felt like a treat being served by such wonderful servers. And the food was a completely new experience for me, halal macaroni and beef burger? AMAZING taste and best strawberry shake I've had yet. Can't recommend enough 💯

We were all considering moving to Wales after coming here just to come back to this place often😂. Very considerate to personal needs and going the extra mile without request. Either we have awful service where we’re from or the servers here were just extremely polite. 10/10 👍🏻

Was very busy, as to be expected for a Saturday evening Staff were pleasant, chicken burger was really nice. My son and nephew had steak but weren't impressed.

We stopped here for food on a whim and we weren't disappointed. The service was great and the food was delicious. The wings were divine. We will be back.

Went for a meal with the family. We order starters, lamb chop and spicy chicken. The main meal came no mention of the starter. when I asked where are starter was they didn’t have a clue I asked for the manager in charge of running this place spoke to her and she wasn’t very sure what was going on. She came back saying that they don’t have spicy lamb chops, starters in stock. Nobody bothered to tell us from the staff. Very disappointed with the level of service. They have provided the staff haven’t got a clue regarding customer service they need to be trained properly to be able to communicate with customers, the food they provided was disappointed also the dirty fries was too salty for human health and the onion for the steak was burnt very disappointed overall, and won’t be returning back as we used to go to this place on a regular basis

We found a great steak restaurant at last. Delicious, perfectly cooked tender steaks of all cuts including T-bones. Been back often. Staff, owners give fantastic service. Food arrives within minutes of ordering. Busy, so get there early.

Brilliant experience and best first impressions at this place. Staff were friendly and the place was exceptionally clean considering we went as a party of 8 on a Saturday night. If I'm ever in Cardiff again I would definitely go again The food was nice and very fairly priced. Our groups personal favourites were the dirty Fries for 5.45. The burgers were amazing and for an extra £2 you can get a cheesy drop extra. The only downside was the cut of steaks. Some were really good but a few of our group got alot of fat on the streak. All food is halal, sadly not vegan/dairy-free As for drinks, very fairly priced again, no alcohol as again its halal but they do include mocktail mohitos! Very nice. Between a group of 8 our total came to £212 so just around £30ish each. Not too bad for a good few hours of laughs and dining

We go out a lot to eat. The steak here is amazing value and the staff treat you very well , all are all very helpful. A credit to the own who I met on my at my mums 80th Birthday, he has a good working relationship with his staff. Would recommend 100% to anyone fantastic restaurant

My daughter recommended this restaurant as she had been there before but was mine & my family's first time & certainly won't be the last. Great service, polite & friendly staff, food was served within 15-20 minutes & it was all piping hot & still sizzling when it came to the table, all delicious & tasty food, no complaints from anyone. I had the butterfly chicken which came with rice, chips, a selection of veg & a gravy pot. A big portion but I managed to eat it all! Only downside to eating out here is the lack of vegetarian foods available on the menu. My daughter is a vegetarian & the only choice she had was a vegetarian burger & a few side dishes of mozerella sticks & spicy cheese balls. She had the spicy cheese balls & all of her food was delicious. She enjoyed the burger & ate it all. The spicy cheese balls were bigger than we all thought & were quite spicy but not too hot. The drinks were delicious too. Four of us had the Mocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails as the restaurant is run by Muslims. I had a mango one & it was delicious. It came in a big glass with lime, mint & ice & was lovely & refreshing. My partner had the T-bone steak & said it was the best steak he's ever had (& he's eaten a lot of steaks out as he's a meat eater). It just fell off the bone. The steak only came with chips, no other usual sides such as onion rings, mushrooms etc. No desserts available on the menu which may be a let down for anyone wanting a dessert after their meal but we were having cake when we got home so it wasn't a problem for us. It was very busy with every table full by the time we left so would recommend booking a table if there's more than two people eating. Parking is problematic along City Road so leave time to find a parking space when you arrive. Highly recommend Steak Out for an enjoyable place to eat out for delicious, flavoursome food & drinks. Price wise, for our party of five the bill came to £103 which included drinks.

Very nice steak and polite staffs

Lovely casual place for some deliciously tender steaks. Customer service was so nice as well. Try the 'Suicide' wings if you think you can handle some heat.

Fab food. Had the T bone steak with plenty of onions and a mushroom sauce, onion rings and spicy fries and a mango mocktail. All were delicious. Service great too.

One of the greatest places in Cardiff. The food is always on top, staff are brilliant and the atmosphere is great. Always get a 10/10 experience on my visit.

Honestly some of the worst food I've ever ordered. The bags the chips were in were soaking wet and so the chips were freezing cold, wet, and mushy. We ordered one burger with guacomole (which you had to pay extra for) and instead of contacting us to see if we wanted to swap it for something or giving the money back we just had a note on the box to say there was no guacomole. We then opened the burger boxes and like the chips, the buns were soaking wet and disintegrating. The burgers themselves were as thin and dry as anything, I had one bite and I just couldn't eat any more. This food was completely inedible and I'm really, really disappointed.

First visit here, didn’t have to wait long to be seated considering it was a busy Sunday. The medium rare sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, flavour was brilliant and could not be faulted. The grilled lamb chops and chicken wings were excellent and kids enjoyed it. The dirty loaded fries were delicious. The Philly cheesesteak was good but the choice of cheese was not to my preference, I believe mozzarella was used which doesn’t have the most distinctive taste. A more flavourful cheese type would have made it perfect. Service was okay, could be improved in terms of better communication. Overall experience was good and will visit again :)
