everything was cold, steak was over cooked and wine wasn't even chilled. wouldn't order it again

They forgot to bring my brownie I ordered

Went to the Hayes Miller and Carter and my server Erika was sublime, very pleased with our meal and how we were treated

Incredibly busy day for the rugby but none the less great bar service from Raoul, and our waitress Erika made us feel as if we were the only table in the restaurant!

Service was wonderful from Agnes, will be coming back again, food 10/10

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miller and Carter and was served by Emma, who made the experience truly exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Emma greeted us warmly and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, ensuring we enjoyed a delicious meal. Emma’s professionalism was balanced with a friendly, personable approach that made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. She was prompt without being intrusive, and her attention to detail really stood out. Every request was met with a smile, and she went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. The atmosphere at Miller and Carter was fantastic, and Emma’s service certainly contributed to making the afternoon special. Highly recommend requesting Emma if you’re dining there!

We are regulars at M&C and we were really disappointed with this visit so much so I wanted to write this review. We usually attend the Thornhill site which is always exceptional but this is our second time at the Hayes site and second disappointment. We were sat up in the mezzanine where the service felt poor compared to the ground floor. All 3 steaks were over cooked mine so much so I took it home for the dog. We didn’t complain at the time due to nobody being there to complain too as they kept disappearing in to the staff area. We will give the Hayes a wide berth for a while hoping things improve by our next visit!!

Very poor food starters was poor plate was hoter than food not once asked about food. low members of staff, seated over 35 mins for starters mains was over cooked could of done better at home been many times that last time cardiff hayes very poor 😕

Great meal, let down slightly by the lighting at table 15, had to use my phone flashlight to see the menu. I think when someone cleaned the spotlights they moved the one over our table.

Angie was excillent all evening. Myself and my partner inadvertently ended up wearing the same colour top to dinner and the moment my partner and I were laughing about it Angie came over and pointed it out to us too which made us laugh even harder. Excillent meal made perfect by Angies warm friendly and genuine customer service skills 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone!

We were a party of six, all placed onto one of the side booths right next to the restroom entrance. It was a little cramped and even more so when trying to eat your meal. A party of six arrived next to us and decided to leave due to the tightness of the seating. The server was very good and professional, regularly checking in on our table. The food was well presented, but undercooked, in my case I had asked for a medium rare steak and it was more rare. The deserts are quite small in comparison to other restaurants of this calibre. As for the atmosphere, it is busy and noisy. For the prices, I would try independent restaurants for better quality, proportions and atmosphere.

Served by a lovely man by the name of Josh, sorted us out straight away with drinks and took our food order. Had a massive smile on his face and was very polite and talkative which was excellent. He also gave us recommendations on the food which made it even better as the food was brilliant. More people should be like Josh

Fantastic service from our server Emma, gave great suggestions on our food, provided prompt response on our requirements and did not rush for our order. The atmosphere is fantastic, but can be a little loud during peak times. Regardless the decor is warm and inviting while the food was Devine. I recommend the steakhouse dirty burger. The steak fillet was melt in your mouth, accompanied with amazing seasoned fries and beef dripping sauce. Excellent service, great atmosphere and out of this world food. 5/5

What a lovely meal out with the family. It was clearly busy today with the amount of people in the restaurant, but it never showed through the service we were given today. My family and I had a wonderful experience from the service at the table all the way to the kitchen. Our steaks were absolutely beautiful, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right and the chunky chips and beef dripping which were recommended by our server are just to die for. The best part of our evening was the amazing service from our lovely and smiley steak expert Maddie. She was happy to help and answer any questions we had and walked us through the entire menu EVEN when she had two giant tables which she handled brilliantly along with our table. She even laughed along with our old people jokes being very polite to humour us. She honestly made our evening. She was relaxed and never shown that she was too busy for our questions. We loved her. Never had better service, will definitely come back with pleasure.

We came to M&C for a Family birthday meal for 11 people. The table had been decorated for us before arrival and was in a nice secluded section so we didn’t feel that we were disturbing other diners. We were served by Josh who was absolutely lovely. He was very patient when we had late arrivers (went to the Bay restaurant by mistake 😂); offered good recommendations (loved the Zinfandel) and helped the evening run smoothly which is never easy with large numbers. Food was lovely, they were happy to bring out the cake and provide plates and made the bill splitting very simple, with individual bills provided. Would definitely recommend for big groups.
