Took my son here, and had a great meal. Service was excellent. Will be back again when I come back to visit Wales next year.

Nothing great at all. More staff so service doesn’t take so long and you give up on waiting to order a dessert. Also, why ask if you have any special requests if you are just going to ignore them???

Normally don't have starters but was tempted by the cauliflower and scallops which were lovely. Had a bit of a wait between starters and main but when it arrived it was piping hot 🙂which can be really unusual in modern restaurants. Had a steak sharing platter which was cooked perfectly by Dave. Evan our steak expert was polite and friendly and gave us good service at the table. Love visiting Miller and Carter when we feel like spoiling ourselves.

Aways received with a friendly welcome. Set lunch menu is a must. Always great food and friendly staff.

Came for dinner with the wife and had a lovely meal. Our sever was excellent and made sure that we had a great meal. Would definitely recommend the sharing desert platter as it satisfies all you cravings!

Works night out , firstly speaking to Danielle to organise a last minute night out she was very helpful and sorted out a table of 12 . On arrival our tables were ready and Leanne showed us to our table. Though out the evening Leanne was very attentive. All of our meals were great and the drinks were too . My partner & i had the butcjers block, something we have 2/3 times a year, so not regularly but iften enough to know its usually much better. Unfortunately our fries were barely warm & had the texture of cardboard, and our bone marrow was definitely not up to the standard we experienced at the cribbs causeway and Bristol mariott branches. 1 of the fillets was also undercooked which was ok for me but my partner wouldn't have eaten it. When we raised the issues we were just told " that's how it should be". Our server ( I can't remember his name I'm afraid) was a young red haired man with dark glasses, he was very friendly & professional.

Our waitress Megan looked after 21 of us! 3 tables! She moved one table to be closer as originally one was set up too far from the others! The food was delicious, all served hot and steaks cooked to perfection. 2 of our party were vegan, and we were told there were no plant based burgers left , but thankfully they managed to find 8! I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my family, and Miller and Carter didn't let us down. 6 free glasses of prosecco with the email I was sent and a lovely slate Happy Birthday Board at the end was a lovely surprise x Thank you to all the staff x

If you like good, high-quality and perfectly prepared steak, then you have come to the right place. The ambience, the service and especially the food are absolutely first class. The Sweet & Smoky King Prawns and Sticky Chipotle Chicken starters were excellent and the perfect introduction to a great steak main course. The 50 day aged Sirloin and the 30 day aged Ribeye was cooked to perfection, tender and an incredible pleasure to enjoy. The wine list leaves nothing to be desired and offers something for every taste. This restaurant fulfilled all our wishes. It was a wonderful experience and I can only recommend it to everyone without reservation. Many thanks to Tracy for the amazing Service and to Rhys for the incredible grilling skills.

Excellent T bone steak cooked perfect

Service was very friendly. The food, omg was AMAZING. Signature Steak Sandwich (Filet steak sandwich on a ciabatta roll) with beef dripping was absolutely stunning.

Great food as always, ended up chatting to a server about cocktails and he recommended some cocktail bars, top marks!

Steak was very grissley. The meal as a whole was overpriced and steak was of poor quality. I would not reccomend to anyone and will not be returning.

Was disappointed that you only offer fish and chips on the day menu and not on the evening menu aswell.

My husband was so very impressed. He last went to Miller and Carter over 10 yrs ago. Was not impressed at all!! However, our dear friends booked Thornhill M&C for an evening out, so he reluctantly agreed to grin and bare it. Well from the moment we arrived...WOW what a difference. The restaurant has such a nice ambience about it. So we were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Butchers Block on the recommendation of our friends, and then the food arrived at the table. Well I don't really know how to describe the food other than to say AMAZING...!!!! The steak was some of the best we've ever had. The whole meal was 11/10. Lol The staff were all so nice, friendly, but always professional. So to end, it's now my husbands favourite place to eat. We've actually been numerous times now. Honestly, if you're looking for a restaurant that has a wonderful atmosphere, fantastic food and the best staff... Thornhill M&C is the one!!

Fantastic evening here with great friendly staff from the start. Service was excellent & the food was outstanding. The food was delicious, our server, Lauren, was absolutely top notch, your greeter, not so great, seemed a bit grouchy and like he didn't wanna be there.

Our first visit to this restaurant and we’re lucky enough to be served by Kate as well as the others, who all made us to feel welcomed. The drinks, lush - especially the non alcoholic choice. The dishes were awsome - especially the marrow bone side. Diolch yn fawr

I was served by Evan, managed by Danielle. I have previously been disheartened by eating out in North Cardiff and I took a gamble at Miller and Carter in Thronhill. I was not disappointed. The food was impeccable but the social catering was done by Evan and he made our evening. What a guy, h looked after us and made for a great night out. Danielle was a friendly manager and was happy to assist in our detailed menu enquiries. We will be returning! What a credit to hospitality! This place is not a waste of money!!!!

Absolutely stunning plate of food. I had the buffalo chicken wings for my starter and then the 20oz t-bone and the banoffee pie . Cannot fault the food, gorgeous. It is getting expensive eating at miller and carter these days tho with it nearly costing £41 for the 20oz t-bone nowadays 🙈 , although people were piling through the doors when i was there 🤷‍♂️. I remember the t-bone being around £21.95 and 16oz/18oz porterhouse which was on the menu at that time which was around £18.95 in 2010ish. I always remember the prices 😌 unfortunately its literally doubled in price since back then, just hope they don't go so high people will simply stop visiting 😑Overall tho its still my fav restaurant 😋

Visited this evening and Kiah served us. Food was amazing, steak was one of the best I’ve had, super succulent and flavoursome! Loved the lettuce wedge you get, very refreshing as a light bite before my meal. Having never been to a miller and carter before, think this is going to be our new hotspot. Had the pleasure of being served by Kiah tonight. She was super attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and is a credit to your company. We will definitely return. Thank you Kiah!

The food here is just exceptional! It helps that the staff are also great, and welcoming! The lady that served us tonight, I think called Kiah or Kaeh. I was stuck on what to get and she was able to suggest different things on the menu. Thank you.

We had a small wedding reception meal here which the staff were so accommodating from the start to finish. Even allowing us to take decorations there the night before! Was waiting for order more than 25min just told me coming in few minutes, however customer tried calling asking again and again why it's taking ages, very rude staff not good either

Parts of my wife's food were cold her stake was just warm enough to eat ,and my fries were luke warm and hard ,rack of ribs only just warm enough to eat ,staff were pleasant enough but it seemed like food was waiting to be brought out and must have been on the counter for to long, should have complained really but it took a while to get to us and we didn't want to wait again

Great meal, Steat was perfectly cooked! Three course meal for £19.50 was well worth it, considering the steak I had, starter and dessert both delicious.

Lovely venu - the waitress was amazing I have a net developed pork allergy - I ordered my favourite wedge lettuce/ honey mustard forgetting it has bacon bits!! The waitress changed the order and switched the bacon bits to croutons. We had the butcher block to share and it was delicious!! It was my partners 35th birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed and stuffed himself Thank you very much

Came for a celebratory dinner and we were lucky to have Evan as our server. My partner asked for her steak to be medium rare. It came out blue and inedible Our onion loaf and lettuce wedge didn’t come with the meal. Chips were cold. Overall very disappointing for the money spent
