The best restaurants serving American food in Scotland

Ordered through just eat and at the time the delivery time was estimated at 35 - 40 minutes but by the time we confirmed the order it had changed to 65 - 85 minutes which we though ok we can live with that. 2 Hours it took for our food to arrive. There were items missing and the curry was Luke warm and only half filled the tub. Worst worst worst take away I have every ordered. Tried calling the take away and whoever I spoke to claimed to not understand a word I was saying which is strange if they can take phone orders. My wife also called before me and they hung up on her. Avoid avoid avoid. Very rude staff for what was a very poor take away. Totally disappointed but now know to never order from there again and to make anyone who asks not order from their either.

Thought we’d pop in for a bite to eat but the empty tables and stock strewn around the restaurant should have been a warning to us. We stayed. We ordered. We regretted it. Food was okay, apart from arriving in an order that makes Wagamama look organised. The whole place was cold though - and not just the temperature. This is a place where you keep your jacket on and your social skills unused. The ambient temperature was so cold that food presented on the table became lukewarm in minutes. Even the penguins on the table next to us were complaining about the lack of heat. Our food order wasn’t quite right (please don’t customise anything as the system appears not to compute any adaptations to the menu) and the cook appeared to be a last-minute shoe in from the bar rather than the usual trained Sous Chef we expect from such a fine eatery. Bless the staff though - they tried hard but clear that Monterey Jacks are relying on the local student population to cope with demanding customers rather than highly-trained wait staff - not that they were poor, they were doing really well in the circumstances. With a table of rowdy penguins, arctic temperatures, and an apparent lack of food storage, even Claridges would find things hard. Monterey Jacks seems to be heading the same way as Fridays. High costs, clear signs of cost cutting, and meh food suggests that their days may be numbered. Hope they can turn it around though - the penguins need somewhere to go!

Good place to stop to recharge your EV and grab a bite. Nice farm shop inside.

Hello, I ordered a rare hamburger and they brought me burnt and dry. Very bad. I won't come back.

Popped down to crunch munch when staying for a few nights in Crieff and so glad we did, I’ve cream was delicious, banoffee was to die for and my little girl highly rated the mango sorbet. Friendly polite staff, great wee Friday night treat on our holidays 🥰👌🍨🥄

Bit of a cavernous feel to place with dinner hall table layout. Defo has the feel of a hostel boozer but without the hostel prices. Decent enough place to pass an hour but probably not a main destination.

Foods is average but always without fail forget part of order I really wish they would address this and make more of an effort, last night was the final straw for me, nice meal but no juice and by time juice arrived meal was cold, it's really disappointing I wouldn't mind a one off but it's every single time we order, unfortunately won't be ordering again. Update: Tried again 16/04/22 and once again let down today's error was a special burger which consisted of 3 bland burgers with no sauce or salad even though requested it, thought everywhere deserves another chance oh well never again 😐 some special looking burger that is 🤷, pakoras dry, pizza base also poor quality, I hope you do get it together one day 😔 02/2023: tried a few times this month standards definitely improved and quality better and not forgetting things either excellent 👍 10/2024 ordered half 11 confirmed order and never showed up AVOID

If you are looking out for a stay in Inverness closer to station, I would suggest this hotel to be the best. Pleasant stay and nice service.
