Owned and run by the same company that has Teebay services and while Teebay is looking tired this was a great place to stop over. I've been past these services very many times and never called in. I was surprised by the wow factor of these services. They are very clean, actually almost look unused. The layout is very appealing, and the goods are displayed in a health-conscious way. The food and products are claimed to be homemade and nothing suggested anything to the contrary. I had the steak and ale pie with chips and gravy, and it tasted great. Although the temperature of the pie was cooler than a fresh from the oven pie it was enjoyable. There are various displays of edibles from their "country kitchen" set up, which has too many dishes and items to even start naming. I didn't visit the "gents" but I'm sure that this area would have been as spic and span as the rest of the services. I will never passby these services again if they are open when I travel to Scotland. I can honestly say these are the cleanest, most well set out, inviting you to eat services I have ever seen.

It is a lovely place to take a break on a long journey. Beautiful Castle like Lodge at the services and a wonderful farm shop. I was a little disappointed at he offering in the kitchen as I just wanted a nice fresh sandwich, not made of foccacia as I find this is a very doughy bread. My partner had the lasagne and salad, and I had a cold pesto, pea, and courgette pasta salad. There was only one piece of courgette in the serving, and the dish itself was a bit bland. My partner said his lasagne was really good, not too much tomato sauce and not running in cheese, quite authentic. I saw later in the farm shop that there was a lovely selection of handmade rolls in the deli counter, which in hindsight I should have chosen from. My partner bought a croissant to take away, which when eaten was really tasty. The services are owned by the same family who run the Tebay services in Cumbria and displays a brief story of their journey at the services.

Not great at all, supposed to be a steak restaurant however initially when ordered waiter did not ask how I wanted my £35 steak done, I have to say to them, medium rare, when the steak arrived somehow they managed to over cook parts of it, this ruined the meal, if they are charging good money for a steak then they should know how to cook it.

Booked online for a Saturday night. Good job as it was very busy! Their food menu is varied so something for everyone. The portions are very big! The onion ring stack is nice but very greasy. The chicken burgers are lovely. They have a good drink selection. The cocktails are tasty. The member of staff who served us was very attentive and efficient, regularly asking if we needed more drinks so can’t fault the service at all. Really enjoyed our night out there.
