The best restaurants serving American food in South West

For the price you pay for a three course meal including a drink the food was fresh, tasty and definitely value for money but the service by Emilia was superb. Attentive but not pushy, courteous and always considerate. Emilia is worth her weight in gold and Beefeater should be proud of the service she provides excellent thank you

I returned after two months for my daughter’s birthday, and once again, the experience was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. The service, especially from Ellie and the rest of the staff, was fantastic. They all joined in to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, even bringing out a birthday hat and a balloon dog, which made the day extra special. I was very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely be coming back!

This has been demolished which is a real shame. No doubt to make room for another franchise “nothing special” . A really devastating and unexpected blow that this place was closed we we had been going for years and years. Huge portions of American style grub and lovely decor. A real loss

Been coming for years and it's slowly been going downhill. My roast dinner was awful, looked and tasted so dry, like it had been heated up to order. Everyone else's meals were slightly better (they didn't have a roast) Won't be going again!

The staff were very friendly and made us feel extremely welcomed, very helpful too! When some sauce was forgotten with my order my waiter Zac happily grabbed that for me

We visited Clark’s Shopping Village today and went into Frankie & Benny’s for lunch. We had 5 adults and a 1yr old. We ordered 4 main courses and three starters to have as a main course. We were asked if we would like the starters as a main and we said yes. The starters arrived but none of the other food did. We were told they were just waiting for the chicken and the other meals would be out. We looked at the pass and could see a main meal there that was the same as one of the ones we had ordered, but we assumed that was for another table. 15mins or so passed and the main meal was still there. They then put the rest of our meals up and bought all of the meals to the table. We queried the meal that had been sat on the pass for ages. They apologised and said they would take it back. Under 2mins later they arrived with what they told us was a new meal. We queried it again and we’re assured they had done us a fresh one. The meal was for my 74 year old mum, she assured us the meal was fine, but she does not like to make a fuss so we were not sure. Mum only ate half the meal, as she was worried it was still the same meal and we have a 2 hour drive home. My hubby tried her meal and he is convinced they just gave her back the same meal, as it came out far too quickly. They reduced our bill but the looks we were getting from the staff were not good. Why did they not just bring us the meal when it was ready as we already had one meal

I was given a gluten free menu. There were few vegetarian options. The loaded potato skins were horrible and I suspect they were out of a box due to their uniformness and small size. The meal took 45 minutes to arrive. More importantly, the menu advised those with serious allergies to check on their portal as more detail was available there. It advised that if the allergy was severe the person could request a separate fryer as otherwise the gluten free food is cooked in the same fryers. Cross contamination is a real risk. I do not feel they can claim to offer a gluten free menu. I appreciate gluten enteropathy is not an allergy but ingestion of gluten causes serious side effects for people with coeliac disease.

Everything about Brightside (as it’s now called) is just really good: there’s an extensive range of food freshly cooked to order, the decor is bright and sunny and all the staff we met were very friendly and most helpful, It was a pleasure throughout and we look forward to returning. Highly recommended.

Took my Grandson to Rugby in Bath so popped in for something to eat. Saw the mixed reviews so was not sure about the place. However, we had nothing but excellent service. Easy to order from the bar. The internet was working to well to order at the table. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Drinks arrived quickly after ordering. Food was just has quick. Lots of it. Hot and tasty. We both enjoyed the experience. Would go again.

We decided after being Gourmet Burger kitchen regular customers ( in their restaurant ) to order a take away. It arrived after 50 mins via Courier, everything was stone cold and the burgers were a dishevelled mess. £45 of inedible 😬 I called Gourmet burgers to be told they can’t be held responsible and I should take it up with the courier company. They chose to offer this service through this courier company surely they should want their customers to be happy with the food they ordered from them. You should imagine that their reputation for quality food would matter too. 🤔 Very disappointing.

The restaurant and bathroom were amazingly clean. The food was hot, tasted amazing, the shake especially. I’d even go as far to say it was the best meal I’ve had, atleast for a long time. The staff were incredibly accommodating to us (Mia), allergy’s and were very patient. 10/10

We use a lot of weatherspoons during our travels and found that in most cases the food and service to be genrally good and we found the Bear as no exception and in fact we rated it quite highly as the food and service here were excellent ... If I were being picky I would say that our table should have been wiped down when it was cleared ( spilled drink not food ) but overall that doesn't detract from giving the Bear the full 5* and a Thank You for a great meal.

Terrible service, wouldnt take order from bar or table. Had to use a app. App was not straight forward. Ordered a burger meal with a free drink. Couldn't order free drink on app. Asked about free drink with meal, staff would not except that app was wrong. So no drink. No knifes & forks on table had to find from another table. Food was just thrown in front of us. Food cold. No customer service. Avoid.
