Dirty Bones⊠what happened? This place used to feel like a cheeky wink and a good time wrapped in brioche. Now itâs like I wandered into a moody teenagerâs bedroom and asked for a cocktail. Gone are the warm welcomes, the guestbook, the vibe. Asking for a table, a drink, or the bill felt less like ordering food and more like interrupting someone deep into chapter seven of a particularly gripping library book called âHow Not to Care About Your Job.â Trying to flag down a waiter? Honestly, Iâd have better luck getting eye contact with a cat. The staff seemed more invested in their own soap opera than in, you know, running the restaurant. Iâm all for a bit of backstage banter, but not when my Mac Daddy turns up tasting like itâs been ghosted by its own seasoning. The chicken fries were also so spicy they staged a hostile takeover of my tastebuds and left the poor burger in a witness protection programme. And oh my actual gosh, the table politics. I asked to sit inside and was met with the sort of hesitance youâd expect if Iâd tried to book the entire Bank Tavern for a Sunday roast at 12:59pm on the hottest day of July. Meanwhile, three empty tables sat there, lonely, untouched, like forgotten characters in a badly written play, for the entire time I was there. The final act? Asking for the bill. One waiter nodded with the solemnity of a man heading to war⊠and then vanished. Iâve actually written this review while waiting to pay. They still had the cheek to slap on a 12.5% service charge, as if someone had, at some point, served me (there was a young blonde lady who was very attentive and professional). The whole experience felt heartless. The soul has gone. The flavours have fled. The joy is missing, presumed dead. Dirty Bones has become spineless. It was like a prison treat day, though to be fair, Iâve never been to prison. But if I had, I imagine at least the guards would acknowledge your existence. Dirty Bones, you used to flirt. Now you ghost.

Really small venue with great sound, drinks reasonable for Central London

Lovely absinthe bar with fantastic service. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I am slightly disappointed as Iâd come before and fell in love with the olives served here, but when I most recently came they were disappointing. Theyâd also replaced what had been delicious seasoned nuts with sweet chili rice crackers, which are not nearly as good. However the drinks are still wonderful and such a unique experience!

I used to love this restaurant, but was really disappointed last night. After being told by staff at the Covent Garden branch that Soho takes walk-ins, I walked over, only to be turned away at 6pm because they were âfully bookedâ. If you donât take walk-ins during busy hours, that should be made clearer and not say on website that you do. A shame to see the service go downhill. I wonât be returning.

Locate close to Bond street tube station, really easy to find. The service from greeting at the door to leaving the restaurant was just wonderful. The food was great, all main courses and sides were serviced within seconds of each other. The steak was nicely prepared to how it was ordered. Atomsphere, decor, facilities were all well presented. Will absolutely come again.
