Sophie's Soho in City of London, Westminster

Dined here not too long ago and absolutely loved the food and the service! I ordered the pumpkin croquette buns, and the chicken katsu both recommended by the lovely, kind and helpful waiter Oscar. The atmosphere was amazing, and will definitely be returning :)

I ordered the signature ramen and gyoza, with some great recommendations from our server, Oscar — a young guy who really knows how to sell a dish! Both were absolutely incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back for more.

I am very demanding on my ramen.. I lived a long time in Asia and I was disappointed by many ramen restaurants. I absolutely enjoyed Shoryu Ramen, I had their signature ramen and I was delighted. I strongly recommend!

The experience i had in this store was amazing! I don’t usually eat ramen but surprisingly, i emptied the big bowl. The noodles and broth were scrumptious! I must say, the chicken yakitori is one of the best! I wouldn’t have this great food experience without the help of Glenn. He’s really nice and very accommodating, he helped me choose on what food i must try.

I came here with my friend for the first time. The staff were very friendly, the food was very tasty. The lunch menu was a good deal, I got a side, ramen bowl, and a drink for £20. What a bargain!!! Definitely recommend!!!

I was hanging out with friends when we decided to go to Shoryu in Soho. I'm not a huge fan of Japanese food but my friends insisted I should give it a try. The location was pretty central but away from the noise and crowd. The staffs are very attentive and friendly. We didn't have a booking but they were able to give as a table right away and the service was superb. Now towards the exciting part.. the food. I was blown away by the food. My friends were right. They serve really good ramen which was very flavorful and has a huge serving. The service was quick and very efficient I will definitely comeback for more.

The ramen at this place is a standout. It has rich, flavorful broth with perfectly cooked noodles that have just the right bite. Our all time favorite is the kotteri ramen, which is always 10/10. The side dishes are also top notch especially their chicken skewers, chicken karaage and of course ramen won’t be complete without the fried gyoza which is a must try. The atmosphere of the place is very cozy and inviting, and the staffs are friendly and attentive. A must-visit spot for any ramen lover!

I first came here in 2016 and the vegetarian ramen here is still my favourite in London ❤️ The broth is rich in flavour and so comforting. The noodles have bite and are just delicious. In terms of toppings you get some mushrooms, tender stem broccolis and two slices of tofu. You have the freedom to add plenty more of course. The service is fast and the team is friendly. I like this branch of Shoryu very much! Arigatou gozaimashita ❤️🙏

Food is ok but the prices are way too high for what you get. You can definitely find better Ramen in London.

The ramen (miso tonkotsu) itself was just a bit bland. Which is technically better than too salty. The noodles are thin which is fine if you like that. I am not a fan so that is factored in. It would be nice if they had an array of noodle thickness with options, they have a firmness option which is not something I've ever seen. Adding the chili powder and fresh garlic that was on the table to the soup made it a lot better. We also tried the gyoza and it tasted fine but it was a little overdone in parts and underdone in others. The meat in the gyoza was also a bit gritty. The sauce was good. I thought one redeeming factor of the ramen was the meat was very good but it was also somehow dry while being completely submerged. The flavor was good however.

Definitely worth trying! The gyoza was the best dish—a bite full of flavor. The ramen and bao bun were okay. Prices were also really good. It gets really packed, though, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Stuff was kind and helpful .

The food was OK. No one asked us what firmness we want for our noodles. The signature ramen soup was OK. The Char Siu bun was much better and tasty.

I had steak which was cooked to my preference. Succulent and flavoursome. I’d go as far as to say best steak I’ve had. Side dish of spinach with cream and garlic sauce perfect.

As good as in Japan, for those who have had the chance to taste Ichiran Ramen in Japan.

Came here with a big group for my birthday last night. The staff (James) were every communicative during the booking process and arranged a great table for us that managed to fit everyone. On the night, the service was very attentive, the food was excellent, and we all had a really great night. Thanks for making my birthday meal a really special one!

Somewhat overpriced for what it is. Went on a Sunday - had the Rib Roast dinner - meat was ok, but you'd need a small appetite if you're sharing between three, as is possibly suggested. Price was £120. Veggies & Yorkshire pudding were fine - nothing too special. Creme brulee for dessert was good. Waitress very attentive.

We came to try the bun burgers - they were ok but not really anything “special”. What I found unfortunate was that the selection of starters was very limited. There is not something for everyone. For example, the selection of vegan/vegetarian options was also very limited. The service and staff were nice and overall the food was delicious but I think there are better restaurants in the area.

Very good restaurant which offers delicious ramen. We tasted the house specialty, shoryu ramen with a very rich broth. The service is quick and the servers are very pleasant. We will return there if we have the chance.

Poor welcome - told gruffly to wait outside despite there being tables which were In the process of being cleaned (slowly). Their version of chicken ramen is deep-fried, sinewy chicken in broth with all the usual stuff.- turning a relatively healthy dish into something pretty unappealing. Not clear anywhere the chicken is deep fried and the relatively rude service has little in common with Japan.

Wow, that was the best ramen I've eaten! I had vegan ramen with tofu and broccoli. The broth was also very good! The staff were all very friendly and the service was very good. We spontaneously got a seat at lunchtime.

Absolute 🔥 Really good tasting ramen just don’t order the cucumber starter LOL it was just cucumber with salt. So save your money. OTHER THAN THAT bomb ramen. Will be returning

Great ramen spot to try in the heart of the city. I opted for the spicy tuna ramen and it was delicious. I also paired it with a lychee martini that was refreshing.

An excellent and fairly priced restaurant. Management are professional and communicative. Our waitress was Kerice and she was wonderful, as were all the other staff. The steak was excellent, and one of our party very much enjoyed the veg & fish options too. We will go again.

It's a house specializing in ramen and, if I'm not mistaken, it has three units in London. In addition to the ramen, there was a starter and also a poke (ultra fresh ingredients).

Lunch visit with family. Great attentive service & food. Relaxed atmosphere. Cocktails were exceptional. We ordered from the pre theatre menu, plus some share plates.

Food is great! The Ramen is so good I drank all the broth. I don't like the QR code ordering system but we had to use it as it took quite long for someone to ask if we were ready to order. Some of the tables are also very close together so not only you can hear people's conversations, if they speak loudly you can reeaaaally hear it.

Impressed when I walked in and saw the fire pit. 3 people (2 adult, 18yo). Wine selection was good and not too aggressively priced. Ordered the largest cut of ribeye on the menu 48oz, told to expect 7/8oz of bone and a 30 minute wait. As there was a an expected delay ordered the charred bread and brisket croquettes, both perfectly pleasant. Bottle of Barolo, and a mocktail. Started to notice a very unreasonable amateur food critic next to us (although he was very annoying, I’m frustrated to admit he mad a few valid points). Mains took over an hour and 20 minutes. With the beef coming out stone cold and nowhere near the 40-41oz of suggested yield. My partner, son, and I even left hungry. Bernaise congealed and cold Garlic butter solid and not melted Chips seasoned well and hot, although left on the table while the steak was reheated on the grill. Then we get to the service, on the team’s defence, you can’t blame them for wanting to avoid the man who complained about everything, but due to him, the waiting staff didn’t come to explain to spend any time waiting on us. This resulted in us being neglected, with our wine long finished. Wanted to complain, but wasn’t really given the option. Asked for service to be removed. Wouldn’t be back in a hurry.

Sophie’s is a great place for a cocktail , the bar is vibrant, Then you smell the meat cooking on the open pit , a great smell . But there it ends , Cold plates , cold broccoli, cold steaks , undercooked steaks , steaks not rested sitting in blood , I hope on January 4 th this will be my worse meal of the year , Steak one came raw and cold , steak 2 came half the size , cold and raw , sat in a blood gushing out , Chef to arrogant to use a temperature probe , We gave up left hungry, so disappointed, cocktails were excellent

Walking customers, have to wait even for an acknowledged by staff, delay and slow service as there was not enough staff I guess. Food was good and nice portions for a central city position and touristy area. Affordable prices and no rip off. However you need to find a waiter for order your food or you can you use barcode for ordering.

We’ve visited Sophie’s many times over the years since it was established at this location. The food and environment remains excellent, and quality of service continues to be high. My steak was cooked to perfection. However, after a few years now there is a need to refresh some of the decor, the padding in my seat was gone so I was sitting in a hole, and the seats on the toilets were peeling apart. There are only minor things, but are the difference between 4 or 5 stars.

Best Ramen in London!!! Amazing atmosphere, and the food was super delicious. Better to book a table in advance or you can manage to sit without booking but need to wait in line, but totally worth it!!

Service was good, the food came fast. The ramen was delicious. One of the toilet cells wasn’t working which was annoying and caused a line.

Beware of the 12.5% "optional" forced service fee. The waiter did not ask anything and just added it to my total bill, which I realised once I had already paid (and made me go over my company allowance). Otherwise the food was alright (I had gyozas - too salty - and shrimps tempura - good) was nothing special and the red Merlot was excellent. A real shame for the appalling practice from the waiter.

Acceptable ramen but indecent staff..I asked several times the difference between different ramens and they never answered me. I asked if I could have a slice of lemon since the natural water they brought us had a bad taste (it was from the sink) but they told me they had run out of lemon... but they brought it to the table next to mine. I will never go back again

Optimal We had the grilled ravioli and a ramen each. Everything is truly delicious. Must try. Good prices for London average. We spent £49 on two ramen, a 6 portion of ravioli and a water. I recommend booking on thefork otherwise there is a short wait.

Really bad service. I ordered with a waiter. They kept me waiting for more than 20 minutes and said that they didn’t put my order into the system. I have stayed in London for more than one year and this is the first time this thing happened to me again. They even didn’t apologize for that. I feel that I wasn’t respected. Won’t come here anymore

Ordered the vegetarian ramen. You can choose the firmness of the ramen. There are sesame seeds that you can grind onto your ramen, as well as spicy sesame oil and fresh garlic. Broth was ok. Tofu was not marinated, soft (except the skin). Overall good experience. Price was ok too.
