Really lovely atmosphere and lovely staff! Food was nice 3/4 stars

I've been here several times, the best break to find some warmth in the Ramen and in the place a few steps from Piccadilly

I showed up 2 hours before my actual reservation but they were kind enough to seat my party and I early downstairs. The food was very fresh and didn’t feel heavy after we finished.

The takoyakis were perfect! I had miso wafu chicken and it was very good, the only downside is that the ramen was missing a little more vegetables. Very well located restaurant.

Wouldn’t recommend. Was very disappointed! The food was cold and my ramen had no broth (assuming it sat out for a long time). Everything was incredibly salty, the nori was stale and it was overall horrible. Do not recommend.

The place is a bit narrow but it's comfortable, it's best to book because otherwise you'll have to wait a while... Excellent ramen

Very good restaurant. I have been there several times during my trips to London. I highly recommend it. The prices are low and the service quality. The quantity on the plates is correct. Do not hesitate to come on site to reserve your table several hours in advance. The internet reservation system does not work well, however. I will come back without hesitation.

Good was okay but nothing special. Service was laking, the staff didnt answer the questions we asked well. And we had to ask for some of our items several times. My friend recieved her order about 10min after everyone else.

Ramen shop in London Soho…long Q in a rainy Oct evening

Came here two days ago with one of my best friends and I ordered the Miso Wafu Chicken. It was DELICIOUS! Super exquisite with super rich and warm ramen broth! and the karaage chicken were crispy outside and juicy inside! Combined with iced matcha latte, it warms my heart amidst the cold, rainy London that time.

Vegan options! Minimal but SO worth it! Spicy White Natural Ramen was 1000/10 and the cucumber Goma I think it was called was amazing

Friendly staff, but the food is just okay. You can either order and pay with the QR code from your table or order with a server. We were seated in an area where every table was super close to the next one, so everyone could hear every conversation. The service was quick and efficient, and they even offered a bib to protect white clothes from the ramen. 12.5% service charge already included. Edit: We both had severe stomach pains after eating last night.

The ramen in here is great. However, eating in wasn't great. The table was all sticky, the menus all tatty, the soap dispenser in the toilet was empty. Also, the specific area where we were sat was really much too hot. Seems they have some problems with the air conditioning. Would really expect a much nicer environment given the price and quality of the food.

Loved it!! It's my first time trying ramen. I got their classic pork belly one. Tasted absolutely amazing. I was also able to witness japanese toilet 😅 with numerous buttons. Never seen one.

Dinner stop day 1 in London. Pretty meaty broth with tons of flavor, garlic and ginger. Generous char siu portions and they allow you to order your noodles done to your liking (which while common in Japan, way less common in the US). PS - Monday was bun day. We ordered 2 pork buns which had a lot of potential if made and delivered to the table fresh but the ones we got were not so not great.

We booked with the fork and we had a great experience. The gyoza were really tasteful and so was the ramen. Highly recommended.

First time tasting ramen-style food, not bad

We had a very good meal here. The son was surprised that Piri Piri is really that hot. :-) Prices correspond to the "London standard", but you get very good food! However, the 12.5% ​​tip is one of the highest we have paid compared to other restaurants.

It was good but not as good as i thought it was going to be. I got the ramen and curry special, the ramen soup was lighter than expected and had a strong seaweed flavour, there was just not enough pork belly for the curry to carry it, just maybe 4 thin slices.

We had the chicken thigh yakitori, a pumpkin bun and a pork bun to start. The chicken and the pumpkin buns were both good and the pork was solid. For main we had the signature tonkotsu which was solid, the spicy natural vegan ramen which was very tasty and the kimchi seafood tonkotsu which was also solid. Recommend getting hard or very hard noodles, the standard was a bit soft.

Great food but dirty, mouldy toilets

Popular Ramen Restuarant, so you might have to wait in line for a bit. However, the ramen is well-seasoned and delicious, and the atmosphere is great for hanging out in the evening. I really liked the payment process here; you can order and pay directly from your mobile phone, making it very convenient.

Cozy, quiet and relaxing! The tonkotsu broth was rich and flavorful and the noodles were cooked to my preference. No complaints here!

Just an amazing experience overall! The space is beautiful and intimate, food was absolutely divine (one of the best ramens I’ve ever had - Katsu chicken ramen 15 out of 10). My boyfriend also loved his tonkotsu so much that he just kept smiling and making happy noises. ✨ Lastly, the staff were so nice as well - very helpful and friendly! Absolutely a 10/10!!! Impressed with this ramen and curry place! Nice interior, friendly staff! They even have Japanese style toilets! Food was excellent, with the ramen being full of flavor and very filling! We tried the Kotteri Hankata and Karata Tan Tan , both delicious, with the latter being very spicy! Will return! Thank you 🙏🏻

Best ramen in London, very similar to the real traditional one. Very very slow service, it takes a lot of calm. Friendly staff. It's the second time I've been back and it's excellent. Unfortunately the photos were taken after the meal had already begun 😅 We spent £119 on 3 people. We got 3 ramen, a meat dumpling and 3 Bao. 2 small beers and a still water. I would say average prices for London.

Lovely restaurant, beautiful decor, attentive staff and delicious ramen! We came for dinner and ordered the Char Siu Pork Bun, the Prawn Tempura and the Kotteri Hakata Tonkotsu. The ramen was incredibly rich, flavoursome, and very filling, the bun was perfect, and the pork was tender and the prawn tempura was also delicious. Highly recommend!

I ordered the chicken ramen and it was good, but a little plain, not the best I've ever had We also ordered some balls that they have on sale on Tuesdays to try them since we didn't know what they were, after trying them, I couldn't say what they are either, although I think they have cheese, octopus and some vegetables.

Had a table booked for 17.45. We queued for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. I mean not one employee made eye contact with us, let alone came and said anything. We gave up in the end and went somewhere else who actually had good customer service. Really disappointed as we were looking forward to it after reading all the good reviews. A lady who was sat near the front who was in before us also got up and left, as she said she still hadn't been served. We went to Dirty Bones a little up the road and were seated and served within 5 mins and had a nice burger and a drink.

We ordered the double Ribeye steak, it was cooked to perfection and it was delicious! Special mention to our server Rob (Yorkshire Rob) nothing was too much trouble and his attitude was excellent, he really is a credit to this restaurant! Would highly recommend this great steak house, fabulous!

The best Ramen we have eaten since we returned from Japan! We were very well received and quickly served! The food is really good and even if the noodles are thin, the fact that you can choose their hardness makes the difference! We were even able to grab a box of the signature ramen which was very good even in the box! An address to repeat during your next visit to London!

Good atmosphere, simply good ramen, service was quick as well.

We went pre-theatre and had a really nice dinner. Everyone got steaks and loved them. The mac and cheese was also fabulous. From the outside you cannot tell how big this place is. The steakhouse is hidden around the corner and there is a ton of seating in the bar and front part as well. Really nice place.

Super tasty, staff were lovely (shoutout to Joyce and Gabija) and good value for central (happy hour on cocktails (£8) before 8pm). Great pre-theatre dinner spot.

Ramen took 30 minutes to cook and when I asked to do that take-away because of time shortage they gave me box and said do it yourself. Horrible service

The Dracula Tonkotsu was very good and garlicky. The broth wasn’t too heavy and the black garlic flavor gave it some depth. I recommend getting the firmer noodles (Katamen). The dish would have been better if they gave more char siu (they only gave 2 thin slices)

I was happy that this place accepted online booking. The food was quick and delicious. The restaurant was a good size and the staff were very friendly.

Shoryu is one of the best Japanese restaurants in London, it has an authentic Tonkotsu ramen. Miguel was wonderful, very helpful. Highly recommended! A must visit restaurant in London.

My partner and I love this place. Every time we're in London, we see if we can come here! The food is delicious, and the staff are so beyond friendly. If you like authentic Japanese food, I couldn't recommend this place more. They even sell ramen noodle pots to scratch the itch between visits!

A very welcoming place, excellent food, note that it is made with caliphate products. I ordered a chiken Katsu ramen: I wasn't so keen on the bamboo, but the chicken was super well cooked, the batter was perfect, the broth was great and the ginger was very good. The takoyaki very good and the kimchi quite bland. The service of 10 all, very friendly and they explain everything to you calmly. The kitchen closes at 10.30pm and the restaurant at 11pm.

The staff is very misleading. First, they did not ask us for our choice of ramen which they should have and got us the one we did not prefer. They did not change it either. Secondly, they did not give us the happy hour discount for which we were eligible at the time of checkout and simply said they forgot about it. I’m extremely disappointed with their service. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

Everything from start to finish was amazing

I think I had the best Ramen in my life! Not of a big fan of thick large ramen, I choose the Chicken katsu Curry Ramen, which was spaghetti sized and just fabulous! The sauce was perfect and the chicken just right. We also didn't have much time as was seeing a show and we were out with time to spare. The bowl of ramen was huge, and that everyone else ending up tasting MY curry dish too! I'll come back when next in London!

I recently ate at Shoryu Ramen and it was a fantastic experience. Of all the ramen restaurants in London this is the best. Delicious and plentiful dishes, I recommend the gyoza and bao.

Food was good, but service sucked. Filipinos have an inferiority complex, and the server looks down on non-whites. Also, another horrible trend of a service charge added to your bill. Pass.

Lively venue with tables/seating well spaced out. Great decor inside and on the indoor front terrace. Gorgeous slow roast West Country beef - incredible value Firepit Set Menus £30 for 2 courses/£35 for 3 courses bearing in mind the v high quality ingredients and the great service. Cannot wait to return.

Had the tonkotsu ramen. It was good but not great. The drinks and sake on the other hand was very nice.

booked in 17th may, had drink at bar while table being set up, setting= restaurant busy and atmosphere joyful and friendly, perfect for night out, our order was taken by a girl called Mary who very helpful and informative we both placed a order of steak and chips +salad, the meat was done medium to well done but still tender , so we both enjoyed it, after had chocolate cake which was a bit to cold, like just come out freezer and ice cream, would have preferred fresh cream or squirty cream.

Belated birthday dinner for my husband with our daughter. Beautiful bar area when you walk in and greeted by the loveliest lady. She booked us in and said the table was being set. Made ourselves at home at the bar and ordered cocktails. We sat near the kitchen/bbq area - fabulous view of the cooking and cuts of meat. Ordered chicken, ribs and steak and all 3 meals were fabulous. Lovely serving staff and great atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Guys, if you are ever in London and fancy a really great ramen, well here’s the place to go. I know food chains dilute the flavor of the original food 😁, but try out the Kotteri Hakata Tonkotsu and you will change your mind. This can definitely compare to any authentic ramen you have in Japan, so my son told me. Well, if you’re ever in Soho, pass by and enjoy a good ramen.

Shoryu is my top choice for Japanese ramen noodles in London! Their food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are friendly and provide excellent customer service. A big shout out to Ian, who served me on my visit on 4th May 2024 dinner time. He was incredibly friendly and helpful!

The vegan ramen soup was tasty. Unfortunately, the noodles were far too soft despite the stated hardness Barikata. I wouldn't recommend the matcha latte. The matcha flavor was hard to find

Went for some drinks after work. Great cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, Beckim at the door was brio and Jay’s service was impeccable. Definitely come back!

Food was excellent - What a difference excellent employees make! We arrived for our pre reserved table booked for my birthday (pre theatre) 10 mins late having called ahead and within the 15 min grace period - Claudine your front of house then advised that no table was ready this was VERY disappointing and we only had 1 hour to dine already. I was furious and upset I explained re the theatre and that we did not have time to drink at the bar and wait as requested. Claidine clearly worked hard to try to make sure we got a table as soon as possible and when we did our server was excellent recommended dishes that could offer a quick turnaround as best 1830 when we got to sit down this really helped and she spoke to the kitchen to get our food quickly / this was much appreciated as was the glass of fizz each that Claudine kindly sent to apologise for the issues. We went from / furious and we will Br making a complaint and never coming here again to greet service / greet food although really upset that we could not have the steaks which we really wanted due to the mix up and the time left for us to eat. I hope we can come back and sample the steaks which looked amazing and come from a farm we know near where we used to live. Although we missed out on the steak we wanted and we did have to rush which was a massive shame - we left wanting to come back and that is thanks to Claudine and her team please pass on my thanks as it was my birthday ahd ar one point it looked as if it would have been ruined. Personally my favourite ramen restaurants are Shoryu’s. The vegetarian ramen is unbeatable and delicious. I particularly like this branch because it’s larger than their other restaurants and doesn’t attract as large as a crowded compared to the Carnaby street one.
