Had a table booked for 17.45. We queued for 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. I mean not one employee made eye contact with us, let alone came and said anything. We gave up in the end and went somewhere else who actually had good customer service. Really disappointed as we were looking forward to it after reading all the good reviews. A lady who was sat near the front who was in before us also got up and left, as she said she still hadn't been served. We went to Dirty Bones a little up the road and were seated and served within 5 mins and had a nice burger and a drink.

We ordered the double Ribeye steak, it was cooked to perfection and it was delicious! Special mention to our server Rob (Yorkshire Rob) nothing was too much trouble and his attitude was excellent, he really is a credit to this restaurant! Would highly recommend this great steak house, fabulous!

The best Ramen we have eaten since we returned from Japan! We were very well received and quickly served! The food is really good and even if the noodles are thin, the fact that you can choose their hardness makes the difference! We were even able to grab a box of the signature ramen which was very good even in the box! An address to repeat during your next visit to London!

Good atmosphere, simply good ramen, service was quick as well.

We went pre-theatre and had a really nice dinner. Everyone got steaks and loved them. The mac and cheese was also fabulous. From the outside you cannot tell how big this place is. The steakhouse is hidden around the corner and there is a ton of seating in the bar and front part as well. Really nice place.

Super tasty, staff were lovely (shoutout to Joyce and Gabija) and good value for central (happy hour on cocktails (£8) before 8pm). Great pre-theatre dinner spot.

Ramen took 30 minutes to cook and when I asked to do that take-away because of time shortage they gave me box and said do it yourself. Horrible service

The Dracula Tonkotsu was very good and garlicky. The broth wasn’t too heavy and the black garlic flavor gave it some depth. I recommend getting the firmer noodles (Katamen). The dish would have been better if they gave more char siu (they only gave 2 thin slices)

I was happy that this place accepted online booking. The food was quick and delicious. The restaurant was a good size and the staff were very friendly.

Shoryu is one of the best Japanese restaurants in London, it has an authentic Tonkotsu ramen. Miguel was wonderful, very helpful. Highly recommended! A must visit restaurant in London.

A very welcoming place, excellent food, note that it is made with caliphate products. I ordered a chiken Katsu ramen: I wasn't so keen on the bamboo, but the chicken was super well cooked, the batter was perfect, the broth was great and the ginger was very good. The takoyaki very good and the kimchi quite bland. The service of 10 all, very friendly and they explain everything to you calmly. The kitchen closes at 10.30pm and the restaurant at 11pm.

My partner and I love this place. Every time we're in London, we see if we can come here! The food is delicious, and the staff are so beyond friendly. If you like authentic Japanese food, I couldn't recommend this place more. They even sell ramen noodle pots to scratch the itch between visits!

The staff is very misleading. First, they did not ask us for our choice of ramen which they should have and got us the one we did not prefer. They did not change it either. Secondly, they did not give us the happy hour discount for which we were eligible at the time of checkout and simply said they forgot about it. I’m extremely disappointed with their service. Would not recommend anyone to go there.

Everything from start to finish was amazing

I think I had the best Ramen in my life! Not of a big fan of thick large ramen, I choose the Chicken katsu Curry Ramen, which was spaghetti sized and just fabulous! The sauce was perfect and the chicken just right. We also didn't have much time as was seeing a show and we were out with time to spare. The bowl of ramen was huge, and that everyone else ending up tasting MY curry dish too! I'll come back when next in London!

I recently ate at Shoryu Ramen and it was a fantastic experience. Of all the ramen restaurants in London this is the best. Delicious and plentiful dishes, I recommend the gyoza and bao.

Food was good, but service sucked. Filipinos have an inferiority complex, and the server looks down on non-whites. Also, another horrible trend of a service charge added to your bill. Pass.

Lively venue with tables/seating well spaced out. Great decor inside and on the indoor front terrace. Gorgeous slow roast West Country beef - incredible value Firepit Set Menus £30 for 2 courses/£35 for 3 courses bearing in mind the v high quality ingredients and the great service. Cannot wait to return.

Had the tonkotsu ramen. It was good but not great. The drinks and sake on the other hand was very nice.

booked in 17th may, had drink at bar while table being set up, setting= restaurant busy and atmosphere joyful and friendly, perfect for night out, our order was taken by a girl called Mary who very helpful and informative we both placed a order of steak and chips +salad, the meat was done medium to well done but still tender , so we both enjoyed it, after had chocolate cake which was a bit to cold, like just come out freezer and ice cream, would have preferred fresh cream or squirty cream.

Belated birthday dinner for my husband with our daughter. Beautiful bar area when you walk in and greeted by the loveliest lady. She booked us in and said the table was being set. Made ourselves at home at the bar and ordered cocktails. We sat near the kitchen/bbq area - fabulous view of the cooking and cuts of meat. Ordered chicken, ribs and steak and all 3 meals were fabulous. Lovely serving staff and great atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Place is a bit crammed for space! But good ramen!

Guys, if you are ever in London and fancy a really great ramen, well here’s the place to go. I know food chains dilute the flavor of the original food 😁, but try out the Kotteri Hakata Tonkotsu and you will change your mind. This can definitely compare to any authentic ramen you have in Japan, so my son told me. Well, if you’re ever in Soho, pass by and enjoy a good ramen.

Shoryu is my top choice for Japanese ramen noodles in London! Their food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are friendly and provide excellent customer service. A big shout out to Ian, who served me on my visit on 4th May 2024 dinner time. He was incredibly friendly and helpful!

The vegan ramen soup was tasty. Unfortunately, the noodles were far too soft despite the stated hardness Barikata. I wouldn't recommend the matcha latte. The matcha flavor was hard to find

Went for some drinks after work. Great cocktails, fantastic atmosphere, Beckim at the door was brio and Jay’s service was impeccable. Definitely come back!

Food was excellent - What a difference excellent employees make! We arrived for our pre reserved table booked for my birthday (pre theatre) 10 mins late having called ahead and within the 15 min grace period - Claudine your front of house then advised that no table was ready this was VERY disappointing and we only had 1 hour to dine already. I was furious and upset I explained re the theatre and that we did not have time to drink at the bar and wait as requested. Claidine clearly worked hard to try to make sure we got a table as soon as possible and when we did our server was excellent recommended dishes that could offer a quick turnaround as best 1830 when we got to sit down this really helped and she spoke to the kitchen to get our food quickly / this was much appreciated as was the glass of fizz each that Claudine kindly sent to apologise for the issues. We went from / furious and we will Br making a complaint and never coming here again to greet service / greet food although really upset that we could not have the steaks which we really wanted due to the mix up and the time left for us to eat. I hope we can come back and sample the steaks which looked amazing and come from a farm we know near where we used to live. Although we missed out on the steak we wanted and we did have to rush which was a massive shame - we left wanting to come back and that is thanks to Claudine and her team please pass on my thanks as it was my birthday ahd ar one point it looked as if it would have been ruined. Personally my favourite ramen restaurants are Shoryu’s. The vegetarian ramen is unbeatable and delicious. I particularly like this branch because it’s larger than their other restaurants and doesn’t attract as large as a crowded compared to the Carnaby street one.

Due to a special occasion being celebrated on Easter Sunday, booked a table in advance, based on a recommendation. Hadn't heard of Sophie's but liked the look of the menu. To be honest, not sure if I would have picked this place just walking by, but was so happy to have been introduced to it. The space is fantastic; much bigger inside than expected with different areas, including a front space, and bar area where live music was being played. The booked table was in a quieter area but still very much part of the action. Had amazing and attentive service from Amilla (probably getting her name wrong, sorry) and Lexi. The food was excellent; delicious and abundant. The Yorkshire pudding was the best! The photo may not look like much, as I'd already tucked into it and started making a mess of it, so you'll have to believe me when I say it was great. Nothing was too much trouble for the team. Happy to find this gem and will gladly go back again.

I went with a friend and following a short waiting period, we were seated. All in all, the staff were pleasant enough and the food was quite good for a reasonable price (for London).

The food was delicious, but the portions were quite small, also the table was just fit for the ramen, not even a jug of water. Overall the experience is good, the staff was nice and friendly.

Amazing ramen! Drink the soup and everything

After sitting on the left for a while, I first noticed that there was a QR code mobile phone on the corner of the stage to place orders. . . The ramen is delicious. The takoyaki is a little thinner than the ones in Hong Kong, but the skin is crispy and delicious.

Nice spot to have ramen. Even though from the outside it looks like a small venue, there is plenty of space. I’ve ordered the octopus balls to start followed by the Miso Tonkotsu. I recommend them!

Wine was oxidised, ordered a 1/2 bottle. Nobody allowed me to taste, just poured and left. Ordered the 3 course menu, bill shoved they priced all courses individually so that it exceeded the menu price.

If you walk through the center of London, near Theater Street, this Japanese restaurant is a good option to eat. Very good ramen, excellent service. Local with tables. The queue is fast.

Popped in for a drink only but when we saw the food knew we needed to eat there too. My husband said this was the best burger he's ever eaten. My daughter loved her mac n cheese and my steak sandwich was amazing! Aperol was pretty good too.

This past Friday, I finally visited Shoryu for the first time. I had always heard good things about it, but I wanted to see for myself if it lived up to the hype. Initially, I was drawn to the Spicy Goma Tan Tan ramen. However, I noticed their fantastic Early Bird ramen deal for £9.99, available Monday to Friday before 6pm. I chose the White Natural Ramen from this offer. We ordered through the convenient QR code system at the table. I particularly liked how easy it was to customize my order by adding or removing ingredients. The ramen arrived in a mere five minutes after we placed our order. This might have been due to the off-peak timing, but regardless, I was very pleased with the quick service. The portion size was comparable to other ramen restaurants. However, the broth was what truly stood out – it was incredibly flavourful and delicious. A big plus for me is that they offer three vegan ramen options, not just one. Good restaurant with nice food.

As I roll into day two of my London Ramen tour mini I decided to visit this establishment.The cheese and egg meatballs were like elusive unicorns some would say NOT REAL! However, fear not, because the Dracula Tonkotsu broth was so tantalisingly delicious, it could resurrect even the most evil of vampires, real vampires, not the ones that sparkle in the light. The eggs were average and noodles were decent. They did have a bonger though…. That was vibes.

I love their Ramen. It's delicious! But the starters are good too. The staff is friendly. I go there often for ramen!

We tried Japanese cuisine for the first time and we were not disappointed at all! This restaurant deserves it. The place is not very large and there are not only "normal" tables, but also these as seen in the photo. The staff is kind and attentive. We ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and their Signature Ramen. Neither of them disappointed us. Truly delicious dishes! Fried food didn't do me any harm, as I have a weak intestine, so I also recommend it to those who have this condition like me! If I could I would go back immediately! I will definitely come back when I come to London again.

We were lured in by a 4-star star rating and left bitterly disappointed. The meals were expensive, tasteless, and the amount of ingredients was minimal. The only thing worth ordering is the sake.

We were sat a sharing table and it didn't feel like we were actually sat next to random people. It was a nice quiet feel in this branch. Staff were attentive. But the food !? Was beautiful. I opted for a fried chicken ramen as I don't eat pork and the other options had pork broth. But it was such a good choice ! And the condiments on the table were a good pairing too. Will return. And the lychee martini was top notch.

We were looking for a place for a post lunch drink on a Saturday afternoon. We wondered past and noticed the pleasant outside area facing onto the street. The staff were very friendly, the drinks expensive (its Soho...) but the ambience is lovely. When you go inside to order the place is huge and whilst we didnt eat, the food looked lovely. Their open wood fired kitchen area was visible and i would certainly eat here next time - and from a look online the food is reasonably priced. Overall an unexpected gem and will return.

Have loved this place before. Been twice previously but this time found the quality of the steak substandard - chewy and fatty and cooked with too much salt to cover up poor quality meat. Such a shame!

Had a really nice meal here. We chose pork bau buns, katsu curry and tonkotsu and shared the buns between the two of us. It was really good food, and a decent amount for two people. I've given the restaurant 4 stars as the time between ordering our food and receiving it was about 40 minutes, which they did apologise for, but I would rather know service is running behind before the wait, rather than after. Nothing complementary was given for the slow service.

Bit hesitant to leave a review - because we love it so much we do not want to let the secret out. The venue appears to be an old fire station so ample space plus you can see the kitchen from the upper area. Great value for money and we love the Rose wine and Moretti. Staff both professional and friendly. **** Remember to book ... it can get busy ****
