Honest Burgers in City of London, Westminster

Went here today. Food was awful. Chips were stale and tasted as good as they looked. The smash burger patty and bun tasted like cardboard. Was a long wait for my food too. Shame as they used to do decent burgers. Avoid, avoid, avoid. They weren’t busy, guessing chef was having an off day. So many better burger joints in London to try.

The best burger in London. Great food, great staff and great place!! Very recomendable. In all my visits to London, I always go twice.

No matter how many other burger shops I visit, hand down this is best in London. Especially their chips are the best I've ever tasted!

As someone who has visited many different Honest Burgers locations this one was average. The seating was limited because the staff told us that the downstairs area was closed and so we were only left with high seats and a table. The menu was good and there was plenty of choice, the food was good too. The service was fairly fast but we had various different staff serve us and the service didn’t go above and beyond but we were happy with our food. The items were competitively priced and the portion sizes were good; the value could be improved slightly on drinks or perhaps an offer to encourage customers to buy more drinks would be good. The opening hours of the restaurant were good however I don’t think I’ll visit this specific location again due to the limited size and average customer service, the food however hit the spot and I wouldn’t discourage anyone from going and perhaps give it a chance in a quieter hour during the week or lunch. The toilet was clean and available too plus the restaurant caters for those who wish to eat vegan, vegetarian or halal food (chicken only) which is good to ensure that everyone can enjoy their food!

Went on the weekend on a Saturday, nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and polite. Food was very tasty albeit more on the expensive side (around £15 for a burger and a decent portion of chips, but since this is London I can excuse it). Would come again.

Perfect spot for lunch with quick service and delicious food. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making it easy to split the bill at the end. A hassle-free dining experience with great value. Large amounts of space down stairs.

Speedy service. Good food but quite punchy bill for a beer/burger Cannot book a table for any less than a large table. This means the location doesn’t show up on their website which is confusing. Can get busy but typically able to find a table.

This was my very first time at Honest Burgers. I usually don’t go to burger restaurants, so I was curious about visiting this one. We went in because we liked the look of the menu. I had a beef burger with fries and onion rings as a side. The burger was cooked perfectly and exactly as I requested- medium rare. I really enjoyed it. But the French fries? They were possibly cooked twice to make them crispy but in fact they were very dry. It was like eating chips reheated from the day before. They were actually acting as an appetite suppressant. My partner was the first to comment about it. Was this a one off or the standard for this restaurant chain? Chips are obviously so fundamental to a good burger meal, but they got it wrong. I’m really glad the chain is using fresh ingredients and has no artificial ingredients. I really hope they continue to succeed, but sort out the fries! They need to be fresh, not desiccated rubble. I’ve since discovered there’s a branch near me, so I will give them another go.

Wonderful fresh beef burgers cooked exactly as requested unlike Fancy Hotels and Restaurants where only well done burgers offered!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Consistently Excellent – Honest Burgers Bank I first discovered this place through my colleagues in 2019, and over the years, it has only gotten better! While nothing has drastically changed, the taste, atmosphere, service, and staff quality have all improved significantly. A truly reliable spot for a great burger experience! Highly recommend.

Great hidden gem, even on a Saturday night it was fairly quiet compared to waiting 1.5hours in soho for a table. Staff were friendly and good food as always

Staff very friendly and concerned about intolerances and allergies. Super delicious gluten-free burgers!! Highly recommended since there are not many places in the area with a menu adapted for celiacs.

You can’t get wrong with a good old Honest. I was on a solo walk, enjoying the quiet city on a saturday and dropped by for a late lunch. I sat at the bar and I was served by a lovely young chap who I couldn’t fault. Another branch visited with great satisfaction, I find hard to point out another chain as consistent as Honest!

Normally reasonably good. Unfortunately the most recent time I went the burger and especially the fries were really over cooked.

Quality: good Seats: upstairs and downstairs Personnel: very polite. Price: not expensive Cleaning: well. Is was easy find it by using go of Google Maps walking down of the street of the skyscrapers of bank. Excellent local, fast served and quality food. Toilet available downstairs.

The place gets full at lunchtime when we came here, but rotation is relatively fast. The restaurant has a large basement area that can get a bit crammed. The burgers seemed to be on the smaller size for a price, but it's fair since the chips and salad are included.

Best Burger Place in London, Great staff we will definetly be back

Had a really nice dinner here after work last week, one pint with a friend led to 3 or 4 - the staff were super friendly despite it being pretty busy. Can’t fault the food either! We all left very happy - thanks to the team here ☺️

A real stand out! Atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. The staff love their work and that shows from a customer perspective. The smashed burger was made to perfection and the chips were home made, crispy and the rosemary seasoning was delicious. We will be back.

Hands down my favorite Honest, it's a bit hidden away from the main road and is calmer than other branches - food is always great with very fair prices, along with the service. Last time I went there I took my parents who were visiting, and Lavinia took great care of us throughout the evening. Really appreciated it, will absolutely be back again!

We were so disappointed by the quality of the burgers here. They were dry and tasteless, not to mention small and overpriced. Service was slow and they didn't ask how the meal was, and I guess they didn't because they know how bad the food was! Avoid this place!

Honest Burger is hands down one of the best burger joints I've ever been to. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Ewa, our waitress, was so attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Onset Burger to anyone looking for a great meal and fantastic service.

Tucked in an alley, this outlet has a signboard on the main road so you know when to turn in 🪧 Onion rings are the biggest I have seen, while the wings just comes right off the bone with a bite - marvellous! 🍔 tried the cheesy chicken burger and thought it was a rather huge portion, though the tip is to cut the burger in half so it’s more manageable with even a hand 🍟 fries are okay, I felt it was a little salty towards the end 🍺 the lager tasted light, which was easy to go down with the food Definitely good but it didn’t wow us, won’t hesitate to return though.

Really really brilliant Does what it says on the tin. Brothers loved he smash burgers and the veggie burger was really great. The rosemary chips are so good and service was quick and efficient. All the staff are friendly too.

What a hidden little gem this place is. First time eating at Honest Burgers, although I had heard of them. We were very lucky to get there just before the lunch time rush, and the queues out the door is a testament of how popular this establishment is. We were seated and served straight away, polite and friendly and very helpful staff, and within 20 minutes the lunch time rush had started. The staff were not flustered by this and continues to give 100% attention to detail. The food was cooked to perfection, and while I had never heard of any of the beers, the staff recommendations were excellent. Despite the fact we had the only 6 seater table for the 4 of us, we were Not pressured to hurry up. Which made us feel a little special as the queue to get in was now up the street. The staff kept the queue informed of estimated times and they seemed happy to wait. Would highly recommend and will use again

Ordered for one at the bar but it came out in a takeaway bag. No big deal, especially when the burger is quite frankly the best I've had. All Honest locations are consistently good, but this one is a close second to the Reading location in my view as one of the tastiest products around. Had the special bbq Sriracha burger with a single patty substituted for the two smashed patties. Cooked to a perfect medium rare with the trademark rosemary fries. Just pure indulgence.

Good burgers, nothing life-changing, but reliable, with good value for money and the possibility of having various locations scattered around the city. We would have preferred the bread to be a little toasted. Maybe a little small, one doesn't necessarily fill you up for dinner so maybe add something besides the chips

I had lunch here on Wednesday with a colleague and it was our first time to this branch. We were welcomed warmly and we were taking away so we ordered our burgers (smash) and took a seat at the bar while we waited. The upstairs (which is the ground floor) has a great vibe and I liked the decor. Service was polite and friendly. We waited about fifteen minutes for the burgers and then took them back to the office. The burgers were still warm when we got back. The burgers were tasty and had a nice Smokey flavour. I would definitely go back again.

Had a very nice wholesome meal with great load of options. For people who don’t eat beef/pork you can just swap the patty of any beef burger you like to fried or grilled chicken. That way you will have more options. Over all the staff is very helpful and welcoming. Love to visit the place time and again for a nice scrumptious meal.

I recently visited Honest Burgers Bank and had an excellent experience. The burger was incredibly nice and fresh, with juicy, flavorful meat and perfectly cooked toppings. The fries were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and well-seasoned. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for another visit soon!

DO NOT ATTEND THIS BRANCH IF YOU HAVE SPECIFIC DIETARY REQUIREMENTS! I visited yesterday (20/08) placed my order clearly stating that I did not want bacon in my burger as I do not eat pork. When the waiter delivered the food to our table, I specifically asked him which burger was without the bacon as that would be mine, he clarified this and gave me my plate which should’ve been the order I requested. After the first bite of the burger I noticed that something tasted different and immediately opened the burger to find that there was in fact bacon in my burger. I was extremely horrified and immediately raised it with the waitress who took our order. The waitress apologised, made a new one and took it off the bill. This seems to of been the way they handled the situation, probably to avoid having evidence of their failure but luckily I took a picture of the burger. I do not think this is right, they clearly have poor to no experience of dealing with dietary requirements as this is not just a simple mistake.

The food might be fine, but staff are a mess. After arriving and being told to wait while they cleared a table, they preceeded to seat a party that walked in behind us. They then acted like they didn't know we were waiting.

Fries were great. The burger incredibly underwhelming, expected it medium cooked, it wasn't even rare, it was pretty much tartare;with no sear. closer to a living animal than a medium-done patty.

My family and I ate here on two different occasions during our stay in London, and this place has the best burgers I have ever tasted in my life, and this is coming from someone in his late 50s who considers a cheeseburger and fries to be my choice as a last meal on earth. The beef was so flavorful, perfectly cooked, complemented by the right condiments, and paired with rosemary seasoned fries. I can’t believe that after decades of eating burgers throughout the U.S. I happen to find my favorite burger in London of all places. The service was very friendly, but we came during a busy time, so it was a bit loud, but I didn’t mind since I was enjoying my burger so much.

Efficient service, staff who are also very attentive to allergies/intolerances, normal prices, delicious burgers and salads.

Excellent dinner and service. Thanks to Brandon and his partner for making our last night in London so enjoyable. Regarding the menu, I am celiac and the menu is fully adapted, it just has to be mentioned.

The food is really good although the side of fries could be a bit bigger. Their burgers are always well cooked and really flavoursome. The service was good but it took some time to bring the food and the onion rings side came out well before the burgers. The place is not the best laid out, most seats are against the bar with not many tables. The corridors are quite small so it’s not easy to have a conversation.

HIdden in the streets around Bank station, you can get some deliciously made burgers from here with generous seasoned chips. perfect with beer or with soda whichever you prefer they have it. one serving is enough to make you full for the day.

Just fantastic food and drinks. Burgers were incredible. The staff were lovely too.
