Heddon Street Kitchen in City of London, Westminster

A disappointing lunch. Had the set lunchtime menu. Enjoyed the starter. My choice of main course wasn't available. Decided on the lamb. It was all fat, only found the tiniest slivers of actual meat. Dessert was apple crumble. The crumble topping was burnt around the edges. Had to pick off the worst. Funnily, there is an "A" board outside the restaurant with a picture of a perfectly cooked crumble.

I was excited to try this restaurant as we had been given a voucher for 3 courses plus a glass of ‘bubbly’ (Prosecco not champagne) We loved the decor of the restaurant especially the flowers and lights outside but inside maybe a little too dark. Starters of beer battered cod bites and truffle umami wings were both good However we asked for steak medium and it was brought out still mooing. My boyfriend sent his back to be redone but rare meat turns my stomach so unfortunately I couldn’t eat it. It also only came with about 6 chips! Dessert was chocolate brownie with ice cream that was meant to be salted caramel but was vanilla instead with no explanation? The brownie was rich and gooey, definitely the best part of the meal but who comes to Gordon Ramsay restaurant for a brownie? My boyfriend had apple crumble which he enjoyed but said was no different to any we’ve brought from M&S. Overall we were very disappointed in our experience and wouldn’t recommend which is a shame because we wanted to bring the kids next time.

It's good...its not amazing. Food was on the better end of the range, though the service was at tomes way off (took absolutely ages for first drinks t arrive, for instance). It's on a nice little square, just off the main drag.

Wonderful service. We had the predinner set meal available before 6. Mushroom soup was so salty. The lamb ribs were tasty but very little meat it would all fit into 1 heaped tablespoon. Loud music snd I found the black walls oppressive.

Not the best experience. Would have expected better. Steak not cooked as requested, was over done. And they clearly have a goal to keep fooling your wine glasses, even if it’s not only half empty. That’s so annoying!

Simply the best night for me and my fiancé last night, we expertly looked after by both Andre’s and Tia, who were both professional, knowledgeable and funny. They made the whole night that much better we expected the food to be great and it did not disappoint but these two helped make the night exceptional!

Dinner was spectacular and our service was spot on. The menu had a great variety of dishes and everything was delicious.

What can I say... after so many years spent seeing fillet wellington we finally tasted it... I don't like meat but it's worth the trip... Highly recommended!!! We had two wonderful, attentive and thoughtful waitresses Martina and Julia ... they explained everything to us and helped us in the choice best suited to us, we told them it was our anniversary and as a surprise they brought us a dessert with a delicious dedicated writing ♥️ Tomorrow we will return to have lunch there before leaving... the dishes are excellent but the experience in this restaurant was even better. Thanks to the two of them!!! Thanks Julia and Martina!!!

Tried to walk in and got no help from receptionist, Raphael however pulled us aside as we were leaving and told us he had room. He was 5 stars. Made our night fun and enjoyable with Edwardo. Prawn cocktail needed more citrus through the rose maire sauce, burger was great

The beef Wellington is overcooked except the very center of the meat. With $80+ per person, the beef should have been cooked to medium rare evenly but not well done. Plus they don’t use tenderloin but filet, which makes it harder to chew. Gordon Ramsey would’ve just throw it into trash, can’t believe this restaurant serve something like this. I can make a better one myself.

When you go to a famous chef's restaurant you expect it to be a complete experience, and the Wellington's experience was more than excellent. Normally you can only order the Beef Wellington that is for two persons, but if you want to upgrade you can have the Wellington’s Experience (price difference is 70£ total and 35£ per person). Also you can choose the wine experience, so if you’re going to have wine with each meal as we did, it’s a good option, we didn’t took it cause we preferred to choose the wine for each step of the experience but next time we’ll take it. I’ll left the menu of the experience, we were just two and it was a lot for us, but we had a great time, everything was perfect.

We’ve eaten here on 3 separate trips to London and have loved it every time. Such a wonderful environment, the service is excellent, food is top notch. DO NOT pass on the sticky toffee pudding. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted.

A rat under the dining table?? A very disappointing experience at one of Gordon Ramsey's own restaurants.. An evening we had been looking forward to trying beef wellington. This was quickly reversed when we were shocked by a rat that was under our dining table! Afterwards we changed tables, and we were only told that this can happen in London. No proper apology or any compensation for the traumatic thing that happened. I would say the opposite, customer services got worse. The waiter stopped talking to us and no questions about drinks. Again, very disappointing.

The Wellington steak was amazing! I especially loved the mushroom layer. And the pork ribs were incredibly tender. Highly recommended! What impressed me even more was Yasin’s warm hospitality—he even helped film transition videos. Super fun and memorable!

Weirdly the sticky toffee came out stone cold and had to be reheated, no attempt to compensate for the person eating after all everyone else finished. Overall it was nice but we won't be rushing back, at around £200 for 2 adults and 2 kids, it wasn't value for money.

We were party of 8 originally 7 but the restaurant was happy to accommodate the last minute addition. We were given a private dining area which was brilliant for ease of conversation. The room had glass windows so we didn’t feel too detached. Food served was excellent…our guests from the USA were very impressed with the food quality. The portion size were good especially the ribs I had as a mains. Cost was at the top end but considering location, brand and quality I think was fair especially for a special evening.

I had the most amazing birthday today at Heddon Kitchen with the most amazing manager and host Raphael and waiter Andreas who made us all feel like queens. The food was top rate, the cocktails were superb, the best brownie dessert ever and the atmosphere was fantastic. I will be back again and again and again. Thank you Raphael.

Amazing afternoon the staff so friendly. Enjoyed a three course meal with beautiful apple crumble. The cocktails delicious. Raphael looked after us truly made the lunch great. He also smelt amazing. Andres was attentive.

The ribeye was nice but at an eye watering £44. The fish n chips were okay. Service and atmosphere was nice

Lovely, casual dining place. Staff were attentive and caring. The duck salad's sauce was a little questionable, a bit too salty without much to balance the salt out. Otherwise, excellent all around.

Had a wonderful time at Heddon Street Kitchen. It was my friend's birthday and they took special care of us. Raphael especially was absolutely fantastic as was Andre's. Looking forward to coming back again.

The price is a bit on the high end... the food and experience matches! First time trying the beef wellington and would recommend! We at every last bit of it 😀 and left no crumbs! Only downside is the breading, but for some... that may not be any issues at all. Awesome experience at this location!

The worst pancakes I have ever tasted.

What an amazing night out! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. It was a dream to eat at a Ramsey restaurant in London. We got the beef Wellington for two and it was mouth watering delicious. I added a picture but it’s after I already ate one of the pieces of beef since it was that good. The steak was as soft as butter. They even have mocktails, which always feels inclusive on a huge bar menu. Finally, the cheesecake was a highlight with the pistachio ice cream.

The lunch menu is pretty good value and overall the food was tasty. Service very attentive

Service was excellent, fast and polite! Out of 6 meals we had 5 great ones and one OK.

The whole experience was amazing. Everyone was so accommodating. I requested the halal beef wellington and they made sure that everything was perfect. We ordered the prawn cocktail and they told us that it contained a small amount of alcohol which we appreciated. So we changed starters. Our waiter Andres, was so great. He made my mums birthday meal special.

Lovely atmosphere and attentive service. However portions were small. I went for the large duck salad and there were hardly any meat, they were more crumbs of meat. That was disappointing.

Wow! Just wow, if I could give the service 6/5 I would! My Mum and I went to Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon street kitchen for an early birthday celebration last week Friday, 20/09/24 and left extremely happy (and very tipsy lol!) My mum had found an amazing deal online of 3 courses from the set menu and a complementary glass of champagne each for £49! If I'm honest I thought that this fact may have changed the level of service we would receive but I couldn’t be more wrong! We were greeted and seated immediately even after running late (thank you to the lovely host who changed our reservation after being informed that we were running late) and then Chris came to take our orders. He was so lovely and accommodating and our food starters and mains came out so quickly! One person took our plates from the starters and before they had gotten inside, our mains were coming out the door. We were very impressed! When Chris had gone on his lunch Raphael then took over our table and wow wow wow, what a star! Raphael made us laugh and had us smiling from ear to ear and did the loveliest thing after my mum mentioned that it was my birthday the following day. Him and Andreas brought out a beautiful written ‘happy birthday’ pudding and sang happy birthday to me! It was so unexpected and my mum let me know that she had nothing to do with it, which made me feel extra special! Raphael went ahead and did a couple of other nice things for us after that, such as a birthday glass of champagne, take the coke I had ordered off of the bill (due it taking a little while but it was not a problem!) and even taking off the service charge for us, without us asking! I honestly just wanted to give him a hug for just being sooo accommodating and giving us the best service I’ve ever experienced! He is a true asset to the Gordon Ramsay restaurants and along with Chris and Andreas, he truly gave us an experience to remember! We will definitely be coming back for Mums birthday in November and we just want to say a HUGE thank you to the whole team at Heddon Street! 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 PS FOOD WAS AMAZING TOO! 😍😍

I had lunch yesterday in London at Heddon Street Kitchen for the first time. Great food and atmosphere, but even more better eas the service we've got from waiter Andres, from Ecuador. He was fluent in three languages! Quick attending and gave us the right advice on the food we take.

Food was mediocre. Service was great. Too bad. Also the finance bros were annoying.

Average. Bossman (Gordon) needs to stop slacking. Given the prices and name I was expecting the food to be better. Had wings, steak and lamb ribs. - Wings were good but had much better in wingstop; - Steak was ok but go to flat iron, does much better for the same price; - Lamb was tough but more importantly, was bland and lacked seasoning. Cmon, all the colonisation and somehow spices still haven't made their way to Piccadilly Circus. On the upside, great place for spotting clapped finance bros in Patagonia gillets.

I went to Heddon Street Kitchen on a long weekend for a work trip from a friend's recommendation. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I ordered the fish and chips which was enough for two perfectly done. Andres and Malick helped me and were accommodating and friendly. I will definitely go back the next time I am in London. Thank you, Andres, Malick and the Heddon Street Kitchen team for a great experience!

I expected more. I mean the service was very nice and they payed attention for any of your wishes. The manager was quite funny as well. But the food was not that special, the portions were okay in this price category. But all in all the food was aliitle bit underwhelming.

I went there on purpose because I heard it was Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. Because it was an odd time, I did not make a separate reservation. I wanted to try the Beef Wellington, but I was told it would take about 45 minutes, so I ordered another menu item. Pork ribs and Gordon Ramsay burger... The price is a bit expensive, but the food was satisfactory. The 2nd floor ice cream bar is the best choice for kids!!!

We had a wonderful time here for a belated birthday dinner! The atmosphere was amazing and cozy, the Wellington was everything we hoped to be, and the service (huge thanks to Lidia!) made everything even more special!

First time in London and happened to get a table here for dinner. Chris was amazing! He recommended the salmon gravlax as an appetizer and it was the best we ever had. Chris was very attentive even with many tables to tend to. 10/10 will be back!

If loud and hurried is your thing, this is the place. Server struggled with communication and accurate delivery. Management highly attentive but didn't outweigh the service challenges. Food was good but not London good.

Food was OK, we had a very overpriced Sunday Roast and we weren’t overwhelmed by the menu but most disappointing was the fact that we went for a special occasion, we called up to remind them this morning and they forgot about it which left the whole experience as just an average meal. Won’t be rushing back.

Burger was very tasty with added bacon. Duck salad also very good as was the raspberry chocolate and cream ice cream sundae. Wine list is very nice we enjoyed a red zin from Dry Creek Sonoma Valley California

Food was delicious, staff were extremely attentive and decor is beautiful. Would recommend getting a dessert (fondant or toffee pudding) and cocktail - they were our favourites. It is on the pricer end but a nice venue to treat yourself!

Fantastic Beef Wellington experience, done a perfect medium rare and well seasoned. Nice and tender top quality steak. It wasn't tough, not quite melt in the mouth but still very good Ordered the burger too and fish n chips. Busy but decent wait staff too

Tim was the greatest and most compassionate waiter I've seen in a long time. My friends and I came for dinner on what was a difficult day for me and I was visibly upset. Tim went out of his way to make sure he made us smile, by sharing stories, checking in on us regularly and offering a standard of service I've not seen in a restaurant that goes beyond great food, polite staff and a comfortable atmosphere. He was fantastic and I will be eternally grateful for his attempts to bring me joy that day.

From creating the Duxelle to making the crepe and then rolling the whole dish together which he made look easy, but I can tell you it isn’t! You can see Jordan really enjoys what he does and he explained everything so well. And I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who loves cooking and making their own dishes. Not normally one for posting reviews but felt this was worth it. We both went with the beef roast and it did not disappoint! Buttery cabbage, sublime carrots and roast potatoes with melt in your mouth beef. I normally don’t finish a full roast dinner but this time left nothing on the plate. We were that impressed we asked the front of house for the chefs name as they deserve a shout out. Robbie the chef has put together a sublime roast and the gravy you could just drink out of a cup. We were that impressed we have already decided to return to try more of the menu

A fabulous lunch here. Weather enabled us to sit outside. Staff were superb (got to mention Dominique’s AMAZING caramel sundae!!! Best I’ve had). And the food wonderful. One of our party wanted the curry but rice side and naan would have been too much so we were offered half and half of each! Perfect. Not a cheap wine list but wine available by the glass and carafe. We’d highly recommend it!
