The food was ok for a central London restaurant, the terrible thing was the fact that a bottle of water costs 10 pounds, two went on our table immediately - obviously a strategy to earn money. It’s a restaurant that dines out on Gordon’s name, not on the quality of the experience. Avoid - find another place with more charm, London is filled with them.

An experience of dubious definition. The staff is kind and welcoming, the place modern and well-kept. Coming to the food: as an Italian I did not imagine paying so much for four (literally) slices of meat, with a questionable flavor. The bread, which in Italy accompanies the entire meal and is never counted in the final cost, here costs £6. Two bottles of water £17.90. In short, for two and without wine we spent £161 (€97).

I ordered two kids’ meals, and the staff recommended getting the ice cream bar. However, I was charged £7.50 for the adult ice cream bar instead of the kids’ version, despite ordering two kids’ meals. That’s £7.50 for a single scoop of chocolate ice cream—what a rip-off!

This restaurant left such a lasting impression on us that we ended up visiting twice in the same week! A huge part of what made both experiences so enjoyable was our waiter, Chris. He was not only fast and attentive but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. In a small but meaningful gesture, he noticed that my son had accidentally spilled some chocolate on his shirt and, without us even asking, brought over wipes to help clean it up. That level of service is rare and truly appreciated! The food was equally impressive—served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The menu had a great variety, and while the Sunday selection was a bit more limited, there were still plenty of delicious options to choose from. During our first visit, we ordered cannelloni, butter chicken with naan, and two sodas, which came to £68.14 with tip. On our second visit, we tried the tuna tartare, reordered the cannelloni, had fish and chips, three sodas, and finished off with a decadent chocolate fondant for dessert, totaling £112 with tip. From the exceptional service to the incredible food, this place is a true standout. We’ll definitely be returning! This restaurant left such a lasting impression on us that we ended up visiting twice in the same week!

Everything about this place was rather remarkable. So remarkable, we went to the restaurant twice in the same week. Both times, we were fortunate enough to be served by Chris, a wonderful waiter who was very nice, quick, attentive and understanding. He is the best waiter we've had in a long, long time. The food was great, hot, fresh and delicious. The menu was very varied, while the Sunday menu was definitely reduced, it was still nice and had great options. For our first visit, we had cannelloni, butter chicken and naan, and 2 sodas. Payed 68.14 pounds, with tip. For our second visit, we had the tuna tartar, repeated the cannelloni, had fish and chips 3 sodas and for dessert the chocolate fondant. Payed 112 pounds, with tip. 10/10!

I recently visited Heddon Street Kitchen for my girlfriend's birthday dinner and had an exceptional dining experience, largely thanks to the outstanding service provided by the waitstaff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and immediate attention, setting a welcoming tone for the evening. What truly stood out was their genuine care for the overall experience. They made us feel valued and ensured that every aspect of our meal was perfect. They made sure our drinks were refilled promptly, checked in on us at the perfect intervals, and were always attentive without being overbearing. The food and drink menu had a wide selection. They were all delicious and the service was just as incredible. The manage Fiorenza was extremely supportive and provided an outstanding level of service. She and her whole team are model employees. After leaving this review, I will leave a message for Gordon Ramsey so that he can be aware of how well his brand is being represented by this restaurant team. My wife and I recently attended this restaurant to try the three course lunch menu. Overall we weren't impressed. The service was for the most part excellent, for example they were perfectly happy to swap the glass of bubbly, that came as part of our menu, for a glass of red wine. The food however was variable. For a starter I had the cauliflower veloute with truffle oil, truffle of course is a strong flavour but it was so strong that you couldn't taste the cauliflower at all. My wife started with the cod bites which, whilst crispy on the outside had soggy batter inside (too high a temperature in the fryer we reckon). My main was steamed sea breem which was perfectly cooked and outstanding, my wife had the flat iron steak which, although edible, was rather on the tough side. For desert my wife had the chocolate brownie with sauce which was very chocolatey indeed. I had the apple crumble with ice cream (I did ask for custard instead but they were unable to provide this) this consisted of some coldish cooked apple with a literal sprinkling of crumble dust on top, the ice cream didn't begin to melt until after id finished the 'crumble' . For me the crumble is the best bit so I was rather disappointed! My wife's wine had a lot of sediment in it and the wine waiter was happy to replace it, he wasn't so happy to replace mine when it also turned out to have large lumps of sediment in it, however my wife insisted and he did. The new wine tasted far better and we got the impression that they were using up the dregs in old bottles when they first served us. First and last time in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant for us.

Come eat at Chef Gordon's Restaurant 1. The Beef Wellington is delicious, the pastry is not soft and does not separate, but it is recommended to share it with four people. It is a bit too much for two people. You can order other side dishes to go with it. 2. The recommended side dish is crab on toast. It is delicious and can be ordered for two people. 3. The combination of Caesar salad is thoughtful, the ingredients are placed on each recessed dish, and one piece can be eaten as a small plate. 4. The cod is good, and the mashed potatoes on the side are delicious 5. Personally, the toffee pudding was average, but the three people traveling with me liked it very much. I recommend sharing it among four people so that they won’t get tired of it.

Overall very disappointing service was fine location and decor perfect however food was average and at the standard of any chain restaurant just 3-4 times the cost drinks are priced what you’d expect at a high end dining establishment however the food doesn’t match. Burata starter was the highlight but it went downhill from there we had a ribeye steak steak at £44 plus £14 for two sides and £3.50 for a sauce and I quite frankly felt ripped off the steak was ok but nothing special. Chips were cheap frozen fries and sweetcorn was watery and frozen Partner had prawn curry and rice again ok but nothing you wouldn’t get as good for £15 in a pub. While appreciating Gordon wouldn't be cooking out food here, you'd assume that the name would carry some standards. It unfortunately doesn't. A nice venue and great location was a good starting point. We felt rushed to order as they clearly want to turn tables round. Not a great experience although the staff were friendly. We both had roast Cod, which was pretty forgettable to be fair. Nice enough, but nothing you couldn't get in any local bistro. Our brocoli came late, almost as we were finishing the cod. It was nice but should have come together. Our kids had the burgers, but our request to have one without cheese was missed and had to be sent back. Just poor attention to detail. A forgettable meal unfortunately. Not bad, but expected a lot more and wouldn't bother again.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Heddon Street Kitchen. I went there for dinner, hoping to enjoy a pleasant evening out, but we were met with unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff. Upon arrival, the staff was nice but the dinner took 2 hours to be served and later they refused us service, claiming that we were "unwell" without any valid reason. This not only felt extremely insulting but was also handled in an inappropriate manner—right in front of other patrons. The management’s response was equally disappointing; they did nothing to address the situation or offer any sort of apology. I’ve never encountered such poor customer service at a restaurant before. It’s upsetting to think that a place that should be welcoming and friendly made us feel uncomfortable and disrespected. This experience has certainly left a bad impression, and I won’t be returning. The staff who called us unwell was Dimitri.

Waited 30 minutes after arriving for our table to be ready, then another 15 minutes to be asked to order. Also, despite the people ahead of us being offered to have their coats taken, this wasn't offered to us. Food arrived in only a couple of minutes after ordering, meaning there was no way it was fired at the time of order. This was more evident as the pasta and roast dinner were not very hot. Overall rather underwhelming. Service was lacking and the food wasn't great, especially considering the price. Won't be back.

The Starters were good but not great. Main courses were ok, however, I did expect a little wow factor and unfortunately none of them quite hit the mark. I had the roasted cod, and it was overcooked and the potatoes were stodgy. I had to ask for the wine to be poured 3 times. Perhaps I expected to be slightly more wowed by a restaurant that had Gordon Ramsey’s name above the door, especially as it as a treat for my sons birthday. Disappointed John Manchester

I'll premise this review by saying how much I admire Gordon Ramsay. I have watched his shows on repeat for years. So much so that my daughter, at a time where she could barely say anything, would excitedly say "yes, chep!" Anytime she heard the Hell's Kitchen theme song. That said, I was left sourly disappointed by my experience at Heddon Street Kitchen yesterday evening. I was in the area and we wanted to find a child-friendly dinner option nearby. My sister found this place and I was immediately psyched because, despite being a big fan of Gordon, I still hadn't been to one of his restaurants. We made our way over and we were immediately greeted by the sweetest, most accommodating host (Eddie?). He made us feel welcomed with our children (ages 2 and 7 months). However, the experience was downhill from there. We ordered an appetizer (tamarind-spiced chicken wings) and immediately after ordering, the waiter took away our small plates, so we didn't have any plates to eat the wings over. But this was easily overlooked. It was just kind of odd. When the wings arrived, they smelled amazing and they tasted great. However the complete opposite was true for our entrees. My sister and I both ordered the Roasted Cod dish. When it arrived at the table, I was met with a strong fishy odor. Upon taking a bite or two, my sister and I both looked up at each other and wondered the same thing... did this taste right? The cod wasn't moist, but rather dry, rubbery, and fishy. The sauce was a bit bitter as well. I thought maybe there was something in the sauce that was giving such an unpleasant taste. I was hesitant to say anything, but I couldn't justify paying £30 for something that was inedible to me just so that I could avoid confrontation. So we decided to tell a waiter that something tasted off with the cod. A manager came over and asked what the problem was. I told him, for lack of a better description, the cod tasted too fishy. I was met with arrogance and a condescending reply. He told me cod is a fish. I asked if there was some type of mushroom or fish sauce added to the dish, which he scoffed at because *obviously* none of that was in the dish. I told him that I have never had baked cod, but I have had it fried. Could it be that when Cod is roasted, it has a strong fishy flavor and smell? He said it was possible. He told us that the dish is very popular and lots of people love it. It felt like he was trying to tell us we don't have a taste for good food. I have eaten at a number of Michelin star and James Beard award-winning restaurants around the world. I also eat a lot of steamed, pan-fried, and raw fish. I have eaten at a Michelin-star omakase restaurant... so, I like fish. I may not be an expert on baked cod, specifically, but I have consumed enough fish to say that I know if a fish tastes bad. And this cod dish straight up tasted bad. But regardless, I felt like we should've been met with more respect over the situation. Instead he talked down to us. After taking the fish back to the kitchen, he told us the chef said the fish tasted right and that the chef would not remake the dish for us. Then followed up with, "would you like to order something else?" I was in awe that the flavor of that cod (and the cook on it) was truly what any chef could've intended. I began to doubt my American palate. I wondered if maybe British people enjoy strong, somewhat foul, fishy-tasting flavors. At that point, I felt too much tension from the manager and too much anxiety/self-doubt to feel comfortable ordering another entrée. Instead, we chose to skip to the dessert (the sticky toffee pudding that I have wanted to try forever). That was really good. And so was my husband's Venison pinwheel sausage dish. They did right by us by removing the two cod dishes from our bill and, in the end, the manager apologized that we did not like their cod dish. But I would've much rather the chef owned up to overcooking the cod (causing it to have a terrible texture and flavor), as opposed to being gaslit. It was such a disappointment.

We dined with a toddler and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely to us. The food is excellent and the venue has a really elegant atmosphere.

Somehow removing the low reviews. I can't remember what I had written before but it was a disaster visit. Burnt Mac and cheese, over charged and then couldn't be refunded

Heddon Street Kitchen delivered an exceptional first-time London dining experience. The Crab Avocado on Toast, Beef Wellington, Fish & Chips, and Sticky Toffee Pudding were all perfectly executed, showcasing incredible flavors. The highlight of the evening was the fun, warm, and engaging service from Klodet, who made the night truly memorable. Highly recommend!

We did a cocktail masterclass for 4 people at Heddon Street. Great evening - fun, informative and great cocktails and a food platter to finish. Our cocktail 'teacher' Tibor was excellent. Highly recommended.

Overall experience very subpar. Atmosphere was great, service was okay but quite slow. They were our of Bearnaise at 7 which means is bought and not made. Sirloin had a burnt old kitchen fat taste to it, not high quality meet and for that prize point I expect much better. Restaurant interior and atmosphere was vet nice. A good ambience.

Overall a really disappointing experience. The steak was awful- in a party of three, all of them arrived on the blue side of rare despite ordering two medium rare and one medium. Waiting staff were unfriendly throughout, but especially so when we raised that we were unhappy with the food. One steak was sent back and was cooked more thoroughly, another was also sent back but just arrived back re-plated. The one redeeming feature of the evening was Malik- he was an absolute ray of sunshine in an otherwise disappointing experience. We simply left feeling a bit sad, wouldn’t return or recommend.

We recently attended a Beef Wellington masterclass with Chef Jordan and administrator Anna, and it was absolutely amazing! From the warm welcome to the way the event was structured, everything exceeded our expectations. Chef Jordan’s approach to teaching was exceptional—he guided us through the process step by step and made sure everyone felt involved. Even when someone made a mistake, he always found a solution and kept the atmosphere light and fun. Preparing such a complex dish felt exciting and rewarding, and the whole experience was simply outstanding. Special thanks to Anna, who created an incredibly friendly and welcoming atmosphere at our table. It truly felt like we were visiting old friends rather than attending an event. Her attention to detail and quick responses to any requests made everything run smoothly. The masterclass offers incredible value for money. You get to enjoy conversations with interesting people, learn how to make a fantastic dish, and enjoy great food and drinks — all in one evening. We can’t recommend it enough!

My partner signed us up for the Beef Wellington experience as a Christmas gift. The total experience I think I can confidently say was great value for money, and was really fun! They take you back to the prep kitchen and basically do a step by step guide with you on how they make the beef wellington. They also give you a bottle of Prosecco while you wait (they gave us the whole bottle which we also enjoyed at lunch - which is also covered) and we were completely stuffed by the end. Honestly for that price point it’s a steal - we could eat one of two wellingtons and take the other one home as well.

We had reservations for 8:30, we’re sat around 8:45. No problem, restaurant was busy and we were offered to sit in the lounge area and have a drink. Appetizer waygu meatballs were delicious, dinner was good. Had the chicken curry and sirloin steak.

Very big disappointment. We dined here on the first day of Christmas. First of all the price was already 165 pounds per person, which was steep, but we were very much looking forward to it. We got there, and the set menu was basically very much dominated by various amounts of truffle. I went for the burrata starter which was the most watery, tasteless, washed out burrata I've ever eaten. The beef wellington was only orderable per two and there were three of us, so I took the turkey instead. The beef wellington (I had a taste!) was amazing. Turkey was so-so. Finally the last course I took the cheese which was literally just a small single slice of cheese, which was also obviously sweating. But as the cherry on top we saw one of the waiters grab and eat an olive from the bowls of olives that were about to be served out, just with his bare hands. Overall, outside of the beef wellington, very disappointing. :(

We were moved tables for dinner, at request, due to being seating next to a table of 4 under 10s - glasses etc were dropped and smashed, they were all on ipads. The gents toilets were flooded. As expected the food was good - but surprised Ramsey put his name on this level of overall experience, no longer good value for money.

We took my teenage daughter here for her birthday dinner. Very warm welcome from the lovely host and our waitress was charming, just super smiley and friendly which feels quite rare these days. The food was enjoyable and the Mr Allen Platter shared between two of us was generous and delicious. Other orders included the hot dog and secret menu hamburger which our daughters loved. The staff also made a lovely fuss of our daughter and sang happy birthday to her (which the restaurant joined in on). The pianist in the bar was great and added to a fun but not overbearing atmosphere. Would recommend :)
