I went at about 11am. We were seated right away, the staff was lovely and polite. I was disappointed with the lack of sweet brunch options but the pancake was quite good. I just wish it had more hazelnut sauce on it, we got one between the 4 of us and didn’t finish it. You can always bring some home though! It’s overpriced, I didn’t get anything except a drink of Coke and the bill was still £80 between my mum, auntie and granny. But they all enjoyed their brunch and the service was amazing

Very very busy. Must book in advance for brunch esp on the weekends. We tried their walnut pancake, which was more of a cake smothered with Nutella, very dense and very sweet, does not resemble a pancake at all . Had to dig deep in the omelette for the smoked haddock it should've come with but never tasted the haddock or saw it .

The food is very, very, very normal The pancakes, which I do not recommend, have a normal taste, and the sauce that contains hazelnuts is one of the cheapest types The price is 66 pounds I don't think it's worth it forever

We recently had our wedding at Sunday in Brooklyn and it was truly perfect. Alexandra, the event manager, was fantastic to work with, she handled all the planning and logistics smoothly, making the process stress-free for us. We rented the restaurant’s basement for an intimate wedding of about 30 guests, and the space was set up so beautifully exactly as we had discussed. The food was outstanding; every course was delicious, perfectly portioned, and received so many compliments from our guests. What really made the day special, though, was the incredible staff. They were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire event. From setting up the decorations exactly as planned to providing flawless service during the reception, they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Their warmth and energy truly elevated the entire experience. Thanks to the amazing team at Sunday in Brooklyn, our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more. We could not be happier!

I came for brunch and tried the cheddar scramble which was amazing. My mum had the pancakes which were so delicious 10/10. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and decor is lovely too. Our waitress yana was very friendly and attentive, giving good recommendations. Very happy with the whole experience and will definitely be coming back.

Service was friendly. Food was oke but small portions for price you are paying. Mistakes on the bill but they correct that. But totally not worthy going. Atmosphere in almost empty restaurant was not good

I first had a terrible experience at one of their competitors that is supposed to have good food down the street. They were extremely rude and unhelpful. I then came to Sundays in Brooklyn and it was the exact opposite experience. Every single person was kind and generous, and assisted me with a smile and made effort to make sure that I had an extraordinary experience at brunch. They went so far above and beyond that when I asked for butter, the man that brought it out, felt that it was too cold and so he took it back without my prompting and warmed it in the kitchen. That is the type of service that matters I will always be a fan of this spot! Service matters in addition to the quality of food and this place sets a high standard for both.

The service here was great. I was unsure if they would take my payment options and they took the time to check if they could. As for the food, I had a single Pancake, which was more than enough, given its size. It was a very delicious option, and I highly recommend it. Their Chia Pudding is also a great option. Both the first floor and basement environments were lovely, but a bit crowded.

Verdict: Pass and make your own pancakes. Works in Brooklyn, not in London. As an American expat in London, I was excited to try this place for the things that Americans do very well: breakfast (pancakes) and brunch. This was such a disappointment - overhyped and overpriced. Here's what we ordered: - Egg Sandwich / £13.5 Greasy, runny, and weighed down by sauce. I felt queasy after eating it. - NY Steak Sandwich / £16.5 The one passable dish. - "The pancake": Hazelnut Maple Praline, Brown Butter Their signature dish. It's hard to mess up a pancake, but this Notting Hill branch succeeded. It was like eating a thick pillow of syrupy sweet, dense stodge. One pancake is enough for four - as a side note if you still decide to go here. This place seams geared towards the crowd that want the pic of the venue (and certainly, the decor and ambience were a highlight) and to geo tag the name (it's a fun restaurant name, they have that going for them). The service was unfriendly and inattentive - mind you, I sat at the bar *in front of the servers' faces* - and slow. It's not hard to do American "comfort food" well, so something isn't translating here. Save your wallet.

Great vibe and the staff were so so so lovely with my 2 year old. Gave us a wonderful table on a busy day and took care of all our stuff! Thank you. Food is fine, small portions IMO

Good food with nice vegetarian options. It's a shame that the service had so much trouble getting started, we had to go find the waitress ourselves. The rest went well. The restaurant often seems full so make a reservation! If you have time, I recommend.

Lovely setting, delicious food and great service

I had such a lovely brunch here. Anastasia was a delight. She gave great recommendations and was so kind. The Shakshuka was wonderful and I can’t wait to come back and try the banana tahini toast.

The NY steak sandwich was amazing but the pancake was too rich. Would recommend the pancake to be shared between 2/3 people. Overall the food is good and love the vibe!

Best place to have your morning breakfast in town

Vibe is nice, albeit the music is a bit loud and doesn’t match the Notting Hill atmosphere. Food was good although, I recommend getting just the egg sandwich. The £17.50 for the Cheddar Scramble isn’t really justified, the potatoes were fine and the avocado wasn’t ripe. Overall, fine restaurant, come for the vibes, get breakfast elsewhere.

This was a very popular brunch place so definitely worth booking a table to avoid waiting in a long queue. The food was great but £5 for a flat white was a bit too expensive

Excellent brunch, service and atmosphere!

I really enjoyed this place. The pancake was very tasty 😋 and will fill you up (definitely enough to be a main). I also really liked the unlimited filter coffee ☕️, reminded me of being in New York 🗽. The overall vibe is great, with cool Hip Hop being played in the background 😎 and the customer service was very friendly 😊

I can say that now I understand the hype of this place. The food is delicious and so tasty, it’s definitely my second favourite place for brunch. Also the pancakes are amazing. I would repite again for sure.

We ordered an Americano + drip coffee + pancakes I can say that my rating is zero, except for the drip coffee The pancake tastes very bad and is not worth the price. Avoid it. I do not recommend it at all We did not like the Americano at the first sip and asked to replace it with drip coffee, and thank God it turned out delicious. Don't walk with the gift of advice 🥲🥲🥲

So we had the famous pancake that they make and it was so delicious and big enough to share with someone else. I really enjoyed every dish we tried and differently coming back again to it.

Aptly went a Sunday morning. Very helpful staff who had great recommendations. Grabbed one of the hefty pancakes, and some eggs. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

I just ordered the cheddar scramble on Uber eats. The food turned up and looked really nice until I tasted it. Everything was covered in a layer of what tasted like stale, old grease. Had to wash my mouth out and brush my teeth, it was that bad. Over £20 for 2 bits of unbuttered bread, horrible sausages and potatoes and scrambled eggs that I can’t even say what the flavour was through grease. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Absolutely disgusting. I asked my wife to try it and she spat it out immediately and washed her mouth out. They should be thoroughly ashamed at serving food that bad. Straight in the bin.

Mid, the cheddar is completely tasteless. The coffee was ok, but on the acidic side. We requested an order alteration on the omelette (because it was quite frankly underseasoned). The cheese came as an extra charge of which we were initially unaware of.

The food was average and it was pricey, the service was terrible. We were served by Anna C, I asked her for hot sauce she said we only have chili flakes, I reconfirmed that there isn’t any kind of hot sauce in the restaurant? She said yes with a smirk. I asked another server and they brought some hot sauce. When we received the bill there was an extra charge of £2 for “water aid contribution” although I’ve asked for tap water. When I asked her she said you’ve agreed on the charges when you asked for water /: she removed the charges at the end but why the attitude?

Overall a good breakfast place. Cilbir eggs were good but I expected more sauce. They also had some paste/sauces added into yoghurt which felt quite different in taste compared to other Turkish eggs I’ve tried. The bacon which I opted into adding into the eggs was good. Cappuccino was okay for a breakfast place but not the level of a coffee shop. They have a good menu so I can imagine being back to try other options. The prices are pretty high though

To be honest, I don’t know where to begin. Let’s start with the fact that we had to wait 10 minutes (while waving for the waiters to notice) just for someone to take our order. We were ignored multiple times while asking for help from the staff. Multiple items were brought to our table that we didn’t order, and our food was brought out late. Plus our food arrived before we got cutlery, so there was a period of time, where we just sat down staring at the food and not being able to eat it. We requested plates to share our food, and we had to wait 30 minutes for the plates even after reminding them. By the time we got the plates, we had already finished our food. The food was good but definitely not worth the hassle of begging the staff to do their job. Overall not a great experience (especially after waiting 45 minutes for a table) and not one we are willing to give a chance again. ever. (Disclaimer for Muslims: there is music playing in the cafe, so go at your own discretion)

The food was below average in my opinion, the pancake (more like cake) was very heavy and we couldn’t finish it. We were full for the whole day from it even though we walked around London and done a lot of things that day. We were also sat at an awkward spot where all the waiters were stood so it felt a bit uncomfortable. 😕

We held a private event at Sunday in Brooklyn in Notting Hill and were super impressed with all aspects. The staff could not have been more helpful and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.

No complaints at all! When we arrived on Saturday around 10-11 o'clock and there was already a small queue outside, but we didn't wait long and when we got inside, I really liked the interior and the atmosphere. We had really nice waiters and when we ordered filter coffee with the meal, we got as much as we needed and we didn't have to pay for a new cup! a big plus <3 The pancake was so heavenly good, but maybe you should share it between the two of you! it's so huge!

Salmon toast was great, but... that pancake... is such a disappointment. Its not a pancake but a huge dry cake. Couldnt understand the hype. And its enormous. And its 17 £ .🥴 We got 2 pieces option and it was a 4 person serving. We couldnt even finish the half of it. Understood that we should have done some prior research and do not expect normal pancakes.

Went for breakfast had the shakshuka, was very small and quite basic (most places add feta, labneh, avocado, pitta). The most disappointing was it was served with a focaccia style bread which was STALE and dry. For the price you pay the least I would expect is a fresh bread. I would go back again to try some of the other dishes out of curiosity as it has some good reviews but was very turned off by this..

The pancake was not the best tbh. The hot chocolate was good but the americano was sour. We werent asked if we enjoy the food or "how was everything?"

The staff are so accommodating and kind, the restaurant is beautifully lit and the food is great quality. Everyone is very professional and lovely - I’ve been to Sunday in Brooklyn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and it never disappoints. I recommend going for dinner however as it is much less busy at this time, you can get the same menu for brunch, and it is a very relaxing vibe.

Nice brunch spot BUT... avoid the QR code pay option. With a 12.5% 'discretionary' charge already on restaurant bills in London, it was a bit galling to then be asked if you want to add an extra tip. Pay with the card machine directly and also save yourself the 0.99 fee for using the payment platform. Disappointed in this restaurant for treating customers this way. Ruins the otherwise 3.5/5 experience. P.S. avoid the merguez, they're terrible if you've had actual merguez. Pancake was great.

Very very nice experiences! The dish I had was delicious! I had the “crispy chicken sandwich” with kimchi…green orange juice and the traditional “cup of tea” Earl gray, so good! I recommend!

Certainly a new favourite brunch spot in London! We enjoyed a delicious brunch here today; the tahini and date banana bread, Sunday pancake and cilbir eggs were as flavoursome as they were beautiful. The vibe is relaxed, the service fast and professional. The only very slight drawback was that I had made a request with regards to the occasion, but this does not appear to have been looked at by the front of house (they had space so he didn’t check the reservation list).

We came here specifically for the viral pancakes. Honestly we were not expecting the size and I’m so glad it was recommended that we share one between the three of us. We ordered the “double” and it’s unlikely we would’ve been able to handle the “triple” on already full stomachs 😅. The pancakes themselves are so rich in warm gooey flavour. This is the perfect dessert for caramel lovers. Also the service at this place was surprisingly great, I didn’t expect all the waitressing staff that served us to be so friendly but it left an impression!!

I recently visited Sunday in Brooklyn and had a mixed experience. The food was quite good overall, with some dishes really standing out. However, I was really disappointed with the chocolate s’mores dessert; it was not only disgusting but also surprisingly salty, which was a huge letdown after an otherwise enjoyable meal. The service was another downside. It was incredibly slow, and the staff didn’t check back to see how we were enjoying our food. To top it off, our food arrived before our drinks, which made the whole experience feel disorganized. The only staff member who really stood out in a positive way was the hostess; she was friendly and welcoming. I had high hopes for this place, but the combination of the dessert and the service issues really impacted my visit.

I came here with my friend this past weekend for brunch, and we had such a great time! The place has a lovely vibe with good music, and the food and service were excellent. We kept our brunch light to make room for their famous pancakes, which did not disappoint. Definitely a great spot to check out!

As a Turk, if you have had breakfast in an ordinary place in Istanbul, it is unlikely that you will be satisfied with the breakfast there. We came from the airport with excitement and tried the famous 'cheddar scramble', but the potatoes smelled of embers and the oil in the egg was very bad. It had no features. Frankly, I was surprised by so many good reviews and this lack of taste. Also, 23 pounds for a filter coffee and a scramble egg was quite expensive for this taste.

Sunday in Brooklyn is my favourite brunch spot. I took my husband there for his birthday and he loved the food and drinks. My favourite dishes are the pancakes, chicken burger, caesar salad and cheesecake! It’s a lovely venue with a great ambiance. You won’t be disappointed

Very cool brunch place and great service

We were greeted by a lovely lady at 8.30 am today. Servers took our drinks promptly. We were quite indecisive about food because we have never been in this place before. Our choices were fine apart from pancakes. They were like cake not pancakes. The taste of it reminded me of burnt sugar. Hazelnut was overpowering the whole cake. I missed directions from waiter while ordering double pancake. The size of pancake is bigger than a large plate which it did not help …Additionally ,brioche bun did not taste like it at all. Having said that the prices are not reasonable for what you order(nearly £70 for two). What is more, the facilities and interior are clean, well-presented and spacious.

Sunday in Brooklyn in Notting Hill has a great vibe—warm, welcoming service and a lively yet relaxed ambience. The portions are huge, so plan accordingly! The Sunday Pancakes are delicious but massive—definitely share unless you're really hungry. Highly recommend the omelette, shakshuka, and cilbir, all flavorful and well-executed. A great spot for a leisurely brunch.
