Busaba Eathai in City of London, Westminster

One of the best restaurants we have tried so far in London. Excellent service, tasty food, and a nice atmosphere. Our waitress, Alisa, was very attentive. She answered all our questions and helped us with great dish choices from the menu. We will definitely be back!

Based on my experience by far the best calamari I have had in the UK. Staff are friendly with inviting atmosphere.

Classic and chicken pad Thai was delicious. Excellent service from Davide too- will return!

Poor attitude of staff and very mediocre food

Excellent food, friendly staff, and reasonably priced given its location.

We really liked our dinner at Busaba Soho. The food was great and portions were big as well. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. However it was quite noisy and the tables are too close together compared to other Busaba restaurants in London.

Good was amazing and came quickly but sadly the waitress we had was standoff-ish and made us feel uncomfortable

We ordered the sharing platter. I found it rather mediocre and uninspiring. No spiciness or fresh flavours as expected from Thai food, it was far more like Chinese. Put me off ordering anything else. The service was attentive and fast, but the place was mostly empty at the time. Guava drink was very nice.

Happy hour for drinks yet they don’t let you sit and have drinks if you don’t eat, even tho the restaurant is empty. Restaurants don’t choose customers, customers choose restaurants, learn this.

The mango sticky rice didn’t have mango, it had small crunchy bits that they called ‘mango’.

Dine in today and ordered a highly recommended dish ‘chili beef jasmine rice’. It was absolutely spot on, definitely will come back again. Also great service by Rahel. So nice and patient for us

Very tasty food and professional service

Really nice restaurant, choice of big shared tables or window seats, really good atmosphere. We had the Pad Thai and Crispy Duck Noodles. The Pad Thai was very good albeit fairly standard. The Crispy Duck Noodles however were excellent, so much flavour. Staff were great, little slow taking our order in the first place, but we told them we needed to leave by a certain time to get to the theatre on time and they made sure we had everything speedily so we left bang on when we said we needed to. Great staff.

This is my favourite Thai restaurant, the squid is the best you will ever eat.

Decent. Edit: Upgraded service from 4 to 5 stars because actually this was very good. We showed up on spec as a party of 6 and were told it would be a 30 minute wait, the waiter gave us multiple updates throughout and it ended up being almost exactly 30 minutes. Two of our party have allergies and the staff were very knowledgeable about what they could eat on the menu and were careful to ensure that their food was prepared safely.

They added an optional tip on our tab which we didn’t agree on. Food was okay , very overpriced .

Went here recently, I was fasting and the person I was with was not. The food arrives very quickly so there was about a 15 minute between the food arriving til I could open my fast. Wasn’t a problem at all, the prawn rice i ordered was still v warm by the time I started eating!

Worst Thaifood food that I ever had in my life and I spent many holidays in Thailand. A "tom kha gai" is not a bowl of overcooked rice with one spoon of sauce. It's normally a Bowl of. And the worst is that I had an upset stomach from the food. Disgusting!

Came here recently with a friend for a business Lunch and was our first time there. We weren’t even greeted by the door as we entered. We were just told we can sit anywhere. As it was our first time we didn’t know what was good, portion size or how to even make changes to the order. When the waitress asked what we’d like to have, she made it seem like we made her job harder by simply asking for water. When the food came we were never asked how was the meal, any further queries or even given a desert menu was the meeting went on for a while. The staff could’ve honestly at least made us feel more welcome or at least enjoy what they’re doing as we were friendly and polite as possible but it’s a shame this was not reciprocated back.

Faat and efficient service with nice and tasty food

Visited on a Thursday night as a group of 5 friends. We'd only been sat down for all of 30 seconds before the waitress came to take our food order. She then came back another 2 times in quick succession asking for our food order to which we said we need another 5-10 minutes. The last time she said "NEXT TIME I COME BACK YOU HAVE TO ORDER". This isn't McDonalds... I'm here to enjoy spending time with my friends as well eat. Food was average, not amazing, not bad, just average. Felt like this it was over priced for the quality. Also one of these places where the food comes "as and when it ready" so people get their main courses and starters at different times. This does not benefit the overall experience and is just easier for the restaurant to manage... After eating it then took (what felt like) forever to get our bill. Not sure why the waitress was soo attentive at the beginning of the night but moving at a glacial pace at the end? Probably won't return.

When I went to eat at that restaurant today, I found out that my bag had been stolen when I was leaving. Luckily, with the help of the restaurant manager, I was able to retrieve my bag. The manager informed me that there were two unfamiliar men sitting next to me, and when they walked out with my bag claiming it was theirs, the manager was suspicious and suggested checking the CCTV footage. Only then did the thieves abandon the bag and leave.

A perfect dinner in a beautiful restaurant

Very, very good tai food, and very kind staff, including a Sicilian boy who, seeing us in difficulty with the menu, promptly came to help us…

My friend and I split a Pad Thai dish with chicken. He was quite unhappy how there were no backs on the chairs. I wasn't a fan of that either. The tables were arranged in a classroom-esque style, so other people eventually sat down at the same time as us, which was a little weird. Luckily, the food came quickly and it was good, but I wouldn't go there again. Backs on chairs, please!!

Excellent food, I recommend the pad thai and the spring rolls. Stunning location. I went there twice because the food is worth a lot, shame about the staff. When I went there for dinner they told us they would close at 11pm and they were already sending us away at 10.20pm, bringing us the bill without even asking. Today at lunch, however, we were welcomed by a girl who hadn't even hinted at a smile, on the contrary. The only guy I had to compliment was the black guy with the long hair. He was very kind to us and super smiley.

Have been at Busaba Soho for years, always nice place, definitely crowded but efficient. The staff is multinational and this time there was an over enthusiastic Sicilian young man who did a top class job. The food is very proper for the price, no surprise. It looked like there were 20-25 minutes to wait, but after 10 minutes it was all set. After so many years, still going strong. Well done!

Desperately bad food and service for the price. Dropped in today for late lunch, seated by a very surly lady who showed us to our table certainly lacking in meet and greet. We had taxiid from Oxford Circus specifically because one of my party is coeliac and we. Had had a good experience Stratford previously. To be told “you can have curries or pad Thai” over her shoulder was not quite correct as we had already looked at the spreadsheet provided online. We ordered two red curries with prawn and pineapple shared a rice and a starter and two mojitos. Drinks came to £25 food was lukewarm at best we sent it back to be heated - frozen looking four prawns in total each in red Thai sauce no pineapple at all and no distinguishable service from anyone at any time absolutely terrible experience from start to finish for £85 won’t be returning or recommending. Absolute waste of time not made to feel welcome liked or valued as customers and total waste of money. Shame

I'm gutted Always loved this place. I'm celiac and they have a big spreadsheet online so I know what I am safe to eat. Came today with my best pal, we rarely manage a day out because of work and kids. The woman who seated us was plain rude. I was barked at that I could have curry or pad Thai. Then the food came. We both ordered the prawn curry with pineapple (No pineapple, 3 sad, glassy prawns in a sauce and a prawn with its whole body in a bowl. No vegetables or ANYTHING) a shared rice and 2 mojitos. I sent the curries back as they were cold. Then almost fell over!!! The bill came to £85 for 2 drinks and a rubbish lunch! Maybe this format is tired? Maybe the staff need to not bring their aggro to work. I will NEVER come back. And that's a real shame

We went twice during our stay in London, once with a reservation and once without, and both times the service was great! The food is very tasty and reasonably priced!

arrived on time however there was already a struggle to find our table our server didn’t seem happy to serve or seat us. was very short and snappy and we didn’t appreciate the attitude and the abruptness of her seeing as she was wearing different uniform we assume she is the manager from a manger you should expect the highest level of customer service we were heavily disappointed by this. our drinks also came out wrong and one was forgotten there were no apologies from staff and our drinks were snatched away although the food was good the atmosphere was ruined by the poor staff we felt very uncomfortable and targeted during our dinner we didn’t receive our change back and had to ask for the bill three times .

Great atmosphere, very noisy, but the most bland Thai food I've ever had.

Very chilled out place. Food came ultra fast. I loved the chicken satay and the sauces were yum! The aubergine green curry was quite average. Staff was friendly. Overall a great experience.

Order was, taken correctly by waiter, and came out completely wrong. After being sent back it took twice as long as the first to come. Friendly staff, calming, vibrant atmosphere. I ordered the Thai green curry with chicken and when it came the chicken was gristly and had bones, the chilli’s were cut very thick and carelessly. Therefore there was very little spice throughout the dish. 2/5. My partner ordered mini pork ribs, they were over-cooked and dry, however the presentation was very appealing. 2/5. We also shared a portion of egg fried rice and it was the star of the show however it wouldn’t fill a plate for even one person. 4/5. Overall the food looks and sounds good but isn’t for me. If you’re thinking about getting a Thai in London do your research and find somewhere outstanding. (For a very similar price). I ordered the bangkok mojito which was enjoyable, however I struggled to see where it was ‘Thai inspired’ if anyone has an answer I’d love to hear it, this would be a 4/5. My partner ordered a simple espresso martini and it had the look as if it had been sitting there for a while. It also had strong coffee flavour and a good all round taste so 3/5.

Great experience but wouldn’t go back based on the food. The food was nothing special at all. Considering the price, it didn’t deliver. Flavour was most certainly lacking. The restaurant itself is very quirky with massive tables to sit at. The dining experience and service was all great. Shame about the food

Great place for a date or family dinner after the theatre

Starting with the positives, the atmosphere was nice and the staff were kind, but that’s where the positives end. Food arrived in small servings and cost around £15 per dish, so definitely overpriced. Green curry looked as if it had green food colouring in it, and I counted a total of 6 chicken pieces in it. Rice cost £4 extra for a small serving. If you’re looking for authentic food I’d look elsewhere.

Nice Thai. Not too loud. Prices good for central London

The food is quite average. The green curry is supposed to be the speciality but it is far away from green curry from Thailand (very mild and too creamy - lack of acidity, kefir taste and other spices) Disappointing

Decently places and look, food is just not their thing. Bland, no real flavor. Taste nothing like Thai food, if you are looking for Thai food go somewhere else.

Hip thai restaurant serving up delish food. Calamari and papaya salads were my favorites. Portion was a bit small for the price.

Quick to be seated and served but food average Better Thai in london

I’ve been to Busaba in soho many many times but not for the last year. My daughter and I popped in for dinner. We ordered green curry, pad Thai , rice and crackers . I’ve always love the green curry there. This time is was Green ( Kermit the frog Green) one tiny bit of chicken and no chilli. It was dreadful. The Phad Thai was lovely and crackers grest. I gave feedback to the waiter and he told the manager. I saw her roll her eyes. She didn’t even bother to come up to me and ask about my issue. As I was leaving I pulled her aside and explained. She said “ well maybe you shouldn’t have ate it all and complained at the beginning “ . We were starving. She was bloody rude. Such a shame as it was always a fabulous place. Dreadful manager.

Been here regularly in my days of working in London. Always loved their food, in particular the delicious calamari! However, first time in a few years today (Wardour St), rather disappointed. Food was nice enough, but nowhere near the quality it used to be. They appear to have changed the calamari recipe as this wasn't anywhere near as yummy. Chicken pad thai was bland and chicken quite dry. Toilets also need some attention, two had lights out in the ladies, one door didn't even shut, decor tatty and tired. Sadly I won't be rushing back.

This was my first Thai food experience and I was nervous and it was AMAZING!! The peppered beef wok was DELICIOUS and the bread and pork skewers were wonderful! Will definitely go back!

There are 2 things that can make or break a meal. Food and Service. We were so pleased that on both counts we were spoilt. Thank you!

Really nice restaurant with Thai food located in Soho. You'd better have a reservation, we didnt' but wait was just about 20 min. We shared our big tables with other 3 couples but we were far enough form the other three couples we felt like we had our own table. Food is really tasty and good, super kind and fast service. we took 4 starters, 2 main courses, 2 glasses of white wine for £70 (the right price). If you like thai food, you should have your meal here

Why put noodles & shrimp in soup but clearly saying prawn. Very disappointed. Staff were okay with this time. Pad Thai is not bad & prices are reasonable in Soho Landon.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable West End prices. But ... we were rushed throughout, starters and mains arrived together, bill presented before we'd finished, plates taken whilst still eating and, worst of all, the main was no more than luke warm and rapidly went cold and congealed. A bad experience from a chain that is obviously more interested in rapid turn around than quality. Very disappointing and won't return.

The service in this restaurant is HORRIBLE. We wanted to pay and politely asked the manager, and she come and slandered us saying that we are shouting. EXCUSE ME? Worst attitude!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. So glad we found it. The food was outstanding along with the service thank you so much for a lovely evening.

For a chain Asian restaurant I think it is one of the best. The green curry is vibrant and tasty. The squid with peppercorns is amazing and I order it everytime we go. The kids menu food is delicious and I would be happy to eat this myself. It can be a bit dark but I don't mind this.

I love Busaba, they never disappoint with flavour. They just delver consistently tasty Thai food.

Service was ok staff not very friendly. No flexibility with menu was limited. Menu itself was limited. Decore was ok and toilets poor. An average meal! There is lots of choice in the area!

Don't miss out. The best Thai in London. David, Louis and the rest of the team provide the best service ever. Nothing is too much trouble. Recommended above and beyond. 😍 I go to Busaba Soho at least once a week. I cannot recommend it enough. Even when the place is busy they are so helpful and accommodating.

Tasty food in great location. Service good, ingredients and tastes of food great. It was really busy at the time we visited but even so it didn’t take too long for our dishes to arrive.

Horrendous service, decent food. We waited for ages to be served then he came and would only take our drink order despite us all asking to give our food order too as we were in a bit of a rush. Food took ages to come and my food just didnt arrive, by the time we had asked for it to be made (as they had forgotten about it) and it arrived, everyone else had finished. Even without this mistake we would've said the service was terrible and took the service charge off the bill. Food was alright, about what you expect and slightly overpriced but then again we are in London so it's what you expect.

Nice food, but limited halal options

Visited this branch at least 15 times, BUT after my last visit I will never EVER return, the lady who "greeted" me advised me I was 2mins late for my booking, so make your way out of the restaurant you are not welcome. I don't think I've received such appalling customer service from any restaurant I've ever been to. Think the EDL protests that took place the week before have gone to her head.

If you want authentic Thai food, this is NOT the place to go. It was probably one of the worst Thai restaurants I have ever been to in my entire life. The food was incredibly bland and the meat was not cooked cohesively with each dish. To put it lightly, the flavours are definitely tailored to a more Western palette. Heed my warning as someone who's family is from Thailand and has grown up eating Thai food my entire life. The only positive I can give this place is that the cocktails were pretty nice.

Attentive staff. Efficient and polite. And very nice. Service was great. We ordered 2 dishes, the hofun 2as enjoyed but the Prawn dish turned out to be a bit too sweet. The presentation was Instagram worthy. Excellent atmosphere and great deco

This is a casual place for a party not exceeding 2. The tables are large square tables facilitating 2 or 3 at each side and are shared by others. The seating is pretty uncomfortable. It is not suitable for a party of 3 or more. It is very noisy. The service was good if some what unusual as our starters came along with our main courses. The food is fair but not sensational. The wine list is pretty mediocre. The ambience was not to our taste but I can understand that the younger casual diner clearly finds it attractive. There was a queue outside waiting to gain a place at any table when we arrived circa 8pm. The mineral water was suspect as to its authenticity. We did not enjoy our visit largely because we were not expecting to be seated at a large table out of earshot of each other and thus it was a case of "gobble & go".

Busaba Soho is not worth the time, money and experience. The time me and my group had when we went was terrible if there was an option for a 0 star I would put that, To start off with when we arrived, we were a bit late, they said we basically had less than an hour to eat there because they have another table booked, This booking was for my girlfriends birthday party, the atmosphere was not what we was expecting because I have been to the other branch myself and didn’t get that experience, felt out of place even by the waiter’s and waitress’s. When it came to ordering it took a while to get some attention from the host by door(which is where our table was) and other waiters around the restaurant, When the drinks came my partner did not like the drink she got it was a smoothie/juice and it was warm even with ice Inside, when the food came everyone was extremely disappointed even myself as a professional chef I was shocked, I had been to another branch and the dining experience even the food , was great, this branch was terrible had no flavour lacked seasoning, the prawns my partner ordered still had intestines inside had to be sent back which they took off the bill, she also ordered a calamari which was just it was salty, vinegary, and sweet and instantly made us feel nauseous, Only one person out of the 5 people that was on the table, ate her meal with no problem, food tasted like something you can make at home for a cheaper price, Towards the end, getting the bill we clearly did not want service charge on our bill, the calamari dish and prawn dish that was taken away one of the items was still on the bill and baring in mind not even half the dish was eaten because it was inedible, had an argument with the manager about that and eventually got it off the bill, This branch is too hyped for what we ended up getting,

Nice place, quite popular considering crowd, although it is in city of London, so maybe expected.

Wasn't impressed. Took aging to get attention even though only approx 6 people eating in restaurant at the time. They forgot our starter satay chicken, which they did give free once mistake rectified, but was not good. The Pad Thai was bland and we had to ask for soya and chilli to add flavour which took ages to again to get someone to notice we needed something. Not sure what happened this time as eaten here before and in the one in Westfield and were both good.

I will dream of the crispy duck noodles. They were delicious. I quite liked the shared tables, the bench was comfortable and I didn't feel my space was invaded by other customers at the table. Nice lighting and interior. We arrived on a busy Friday night and were seated right away despite queue. Service was a good speed and staff were pleasant. Cons, a little cold by the door, some cobwebs in the loo and the beer is expensive.

The food was good. The portions were small but not cheap! The service was excellent and the staff really polite.

Duck breast wasn’t good at all. Great environment with good and fast service but average food overall. Price quality ratio a but too high!

Food was awesome and our server Patcha was awesome too. Really appreciate the quality of both service and food which made the dining experience so enjoyable.

I just went there yesterday, extremely unhappy with the behavior of staff Unfriendly and racist. They didn’t serve us well. I wouldn’t ever come here again. Though food was good.

This is our favourite branch but too many mistakes were done last time we ate here. The waiter was not focused although the restaurant was empty at 6pm. He recommended a dish and we ordered it to get not 1 dish but 2 wrongly ordered. We asked for the Calamari to arrive hot but all food arrived together (we never asked) which meant the Calamari was waiting in the kitchen. Even the food was locum. It was such an awful experience this only 1 time. We always had good experience when we eat here but not this time. We think this branch requires top management attention because it is becoming more of a chinese restaurant than a Thai restaurant and we are referring to the ingredients. Never had the prawn dish with the hard tail in the Prawn stir fri dish (cant remember the name) the veggie mix in the dish gave more of a chinese food taste. The grilled salmon used to have green spinache (now a chinese type green). Please change this back to a real Thai restaurant.

Pranzo a sorpresa Dopo essere state in un negozio li vicino io e mia mamma per caso siamo entrate in questo ristorante. L’atmosfera ricorda un po’ quella degli izakaya giapponesi, ci sono dei bellissimi tavoli e si mangia tutti insieme. Abbiamo preso il pad Thai Classico con i gamberi veramente buono. Lo consiglio
