Busaba Eathai in City of London, Westminster

We sat at a shared table for the first time but we were not disturbed, it was a nice experience, the tables are very big. The waiters were very attentive and helpful. The food was very delicious, I had the best cocktail I've ever had in London here, it was very successful. We tried a local flavor for the taste but it didn't suit our taste :)

A nice restaurant with Thailand's cuisine. We have order two plates with chicken which are delicious. Salad is quite spicy for our tastes. We have booked via internet a table very quickly and we haven't wait a second when we have arrived. We have paid 66 pounds for two mains, a salad and 2 glass of wine, fair enough. A good choice for food in Soho.

Amazing experience at this restaurant! The Tom Yum soup was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of spice. The beef rice was also fantastic, perfectly cooked and full of taste. On top of that, the service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and efficient. Highly recommend this place and will definitely come back!

It’s been a long time since I went back to busaba and interestingly and the experience was the same as before and that shows consistency. From a food perspective, you will find majority of the main thai items that are cooked fine, but they are all flavoured to more western pallet than the traditional Thai: for instance the lack of spiciness in the papaya salad which would be good for those who cannot handle chillies but was quite underwhelming for me. Overall the food is not bad if you need something relatively inexpensive and attracts mass. The service was quite slow but the restaurant was busy and not many waiting staff.

I was hosted at the door and had my order taken by TJ. This gentleman had a warm aura that instantly greeted me with a smile and a sense of calmness in the restaurant. I came here many times a few years ago, and was specifically after the old Gon Tod sauce with my meal, TJ was able to include this every time I’ve recently gone to eat there. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to experience a hint of nostalgia thanks to TJ and his deep understanding of the restaurant’s menu. Thank you again TJ

The pad thai is really good. The food here is great. Not the best at taking things out of dishes due to restrictions but the food is great.

Met with a good friend to have dinner here. We hadn’t booked a table so had to wait but this wasn’t long at all and before we knew it we were seated inside. The team are very friendly, helpful with menu queries and attentive to customers. A good selection of drink both nonalcoholic and alcoholic so we enjoyed a selection of each. My friend had a prawn dish which tasted as good as it looked. And I went for the tamarind duck. The duck was soft and almost melted in your mouth. The food overall was very flavourful and the portions were quite decent too. The restaurant had a lovely vibe and atmosphere and I will be going back again!

When I asked to use the student discount, the cashier printed the bill at the same time. After printing the bill, he explained that I couldn’t use the student discount because he already printed the bill. “You need to tell me you want to use the student discount before I print the bill. Now that the bill has already been printed, you can’t use it.” He didn’t even ask me for that before he printed the bill and I already say I want use the student discount and he can print another bill with student discount but he didn’t do this! I found this excuse completely absurd and far-fetched! Regarding service: After my friend and I queued up and sat down at a table ready to order, the server came over and suddenly asked us to change seats, directing us to sit in a dark corner instead. I figured it wasn’t a big deal since we were just eating a meal, so we moved. Then after we ordered, I realised we weren’t given any water at all. At nearly every restaurant I’ve been to, servers either ask if you need water when you order or bring it automatically. However, at this place, not only did they fail to offer water, but the people sitting at the same table (it was a shared table with several people sitting around it) were foreigners, and they had water. Even after repeatedly asking the server for warm water, they still brought us a pot of boiling hot water instead—truly baffling service! As for the food: The portion sizes were ridiculously small.

When the place is full they struggle to fulfil orders within an hour. It is perhaps not the place to eat during your lunch hour.

Bella served us, and she was an ABSOLUTE angel! She was professional, passionate, sweet and considerate, the most amazing waitress we have ever met for along time!! I really wished her all the best in her life and that there could be more people like Bella in the industry! Food was a bless

The calamari here is so good it should be criminal. I don’t really like squid but this is just so sweet and slightly savoury it’s great. Rest of the menu is okay but that squid tho!

The food was delicious and the service was quite good. I was surprised to order bottled still water and receive filtered still water. I think this is terrible and I only realised after I drank the water. I make a choice not to drink tap water and if I do wish to drink filtered tap water I can do so at home for free and do not agree with having to pay for that. Customers should be made more aware that the bottled water isn't mineral or spring.

Disgusting, this is Thai white mans style from 1995. Oily, no flavour, limp vegetables floating in packet curry sauces. Have a cup a soup rather than eating here.

Really disappointing experience at BUSABA yesterday. This was the first visit to this branch but have been going to the Wardour Street branch for 20 years. First up the restaurant itself is fine, not as classy looking as Wardour but fine. Staff were great. The real let down was the food - the green chicken curry had three bits of chicken in it and was the blandest Thai green curry I have ever tasted. It was pea green in colour, gloopy and withminimal flavour or spice. At £16 not including rice it was a very disappointing dish. It may have been a one off but I won’t be going back to this branch to find out. Staff did check on food but I didn’t want to affect the rest of the meal by making an issue, especially as I wasn’t sure if it was a problem with the dish or a new recipe. Bill was £88 for two people!
