Quite quiet but we are in fairly early. Food is lovely. Cocktail is fab! And people are very friendly

We've had food from here loads of times but tonight the mixed grill was very dry the onion bhaji was really dry and hard wasn't nice at all

Great steak dinner while on a work trip. Staff were lovely (served by Sade D who was great). Had the steak sampler and it was delicious, as was the glass on wine. Looking forward to more work trips

No había comido tan mal en mucho tiempo. Personal amable pero la calidad de la comida muy pobre. Los alimentos se cocinaron en exceso y parecía que la mayor parte de ellos habían estado sentados bajo luces calientes durante algún tiempo, comenzando a secarse y las verduras y salsas convirtiéndose en una mezcla amorfa. Turned up at 7pm on Sunday for food and beer and it was closed. It should have been open according to the Web site.

Really disappointed after a few very good visits. The food now appears to be pre-packaged and it wasn’t very inspiring. Previously, the food was excellent and tasty but not now. The service was good but the bill was just plonked on the table without a word and 10% added. I would not return unless I thought the food had returned to the original standard.

En mi experiencia, las bebidas calientes estaban bien - presentado. También se prepararon y sirvieron eficientemente. Lamentablemente, no tuve una experiencia positiva en términos de amabilidad del personal. Esto ha sido consistente en dos visitas, y decepcionante. También hubo un problema con el baño público. El dispensador de jabón estaba reventado y no había otra opción. No había rollo de papel higiénico, y esto no era algo que me hubiera sentido capaz de abordar con el personal dado el hecho de que ya estaban ocupados con atender a los clientes. Esperemos que este tipo de problemas se resuelvan a tiempo para mi próxima visita y en beneficio de otros.

This is by far one of my favourite restaurants I've been too!! I had the stilton and mushroom veggie burger which uses plant based meat. I will definitely be coming again! The chips were also seasoned so beautifully absolutely amazing! The customer service was brilliant too!! Thank you 😊

Ok coffee, no gluten free options which is disappointing. Good option to sit outside when it's sunny. Ok atmosphere, shame I couldn't eat anything.

We had 4 burgers, 3 double burgers with bacon and cheese and a children’s cheeseburger. They were delicious -from a local butchers in Cockermouth called Tony Harrison. We had called ahead, as advised on their FB page, and they told us if we were there before last orders (7:30pm) that we’d be fine. We arrived 7:20pm. The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. We had a table by the window to see the sun setting, which was beautiful. Our food was delicious, with loads of home cut chips and salad. We were stuffed full and unfortunately didn’t have space for pudding which could have been ice cream, cheese cakes or sponge and custard. I’d definitely recommend Jack’s if you are in the area.

A truly wonderful dining experience — the food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. Highly recommend!
