Booked a table for 2 for sunday lunch at 2pm. We were given a menu & we both chose the lamb, which we were told had sold out. Disappointing, but we opted for the beef. Our food was eventually served 50 mins later on cold plates followed by a tureen of vegetables 5mins after that , with a tiny jug of gravy ( to share!), which was also cold! We complained to the waiter who took both plates away to heat up, which took a further 5 mins & he brought them back one at a time, with extra jug of gravy. By which time the tureen of veg was also cold..but to be honest by then we had lost the will to live! But warmed up or cold, the meal wasnt good. While the beef was tasty, the roasties were like bullets, and the parsnips charred to a crisp & the vegetables were cold & tasteless. The mashed potato tasted & looked like it was from a packet. We did ask for the dessert menu, but since only 2 items were available, neither of which appealed to us, we paid the bill & left. As we made our way to the car park a man ,who was sat in the smoking shelter, asked if we had enjoyed our meal ( we think he was probably the landlord?!). My husband told him how how awful it had been, & all he said was "Aw..sorry bout that"! We will definitely not be returning or recommending this place to others.

This little cafe is the heart of Rhosneigr! We visit Notos regularly and it never disappoints. Whether it is breakfast, brunch, lunch or a cup of tea and a cake…or even a takeout you’re looking for, this cafe offers a wide selection of them all. The food is always delicious and better still, locally-sourced. The owner is very creative offering burger nights and book club evenings during half term holidays. I’d definitely recommend a visit!

We were heading home to Somerset with our dogs and we were hungry. We weren’t sure if it was dog friendly, or even if they did food. The friendly young lady said that they could do both. Our lunch arrived and was huge, really lovely, and very reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming ,friendly and lovely to our dogs. In short, most pubs lack something no matter how small, but not this one 10 out of 10 for everything. The best In the UK.

I have literally just visited this cafe and while I appreciate it was busy I waited nearly 25 minutes for a toasted tea cake which was burnt to buggery and my friends had toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches which they chose to leave ….. so basically a £22.99 bill for very little. We shan’t be back

Two of us went for breakfast and found it a bit disappointing mainly because the food wasn't particularly hot. Based on this experience I don't think we'll go again.

Visited for Sunday lunch after a trip to the Bevan Stones. Very short menu but our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. Me and my wife chose the beef and it was excellent. Two very large slices of good quality beef, cooked perfectly. Came with a huge Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrots, peas, broccoli and gravy to die for. We didn’t have starters but the puddings were very good and two courses were more than enough. Altogether excellent!

We booked here for afternoon tea to celebrate my friends 40th birthday, and it did not disappoint. One of the best afternoon teas we have ever had. Everything was so fresh, from the bread to the cakes. Service was brilliant, couldn’t do more for us. I am only disappointed that we do not live near to visit regularly, but next time we are in the area we will be back.
